It came with a very generous salad that we also shared. The crab cakes were very good. Some of the best we've had, and we have had our share of crab cakes.We each ordered the white wine mussels and, wow, they were fabulous. One of the reasons is, they come from Penn Cove which is a few minutes drive from the restaurant, so they just don't get any fresher. It was a decent portion. The wine, shallots, herbs, and lemon all combined to make an incredibly bright flavor.Service was good, and 4 stars is a fair rating for that.The big question is always, would I go back? Yes, I would, and will.“

So relaxing and romantic. Perfect portions, but yes you are always going to want more.Steak meals are absolutely amazing, look out for the pork loin special and seafood payeya! I had the chicken and waffle and rib meal and they were also really good. They have these meatballs appetizer right now that are amazing, but nothing beats the fondue to start. For desert definitely indulge in the cheese cake or the passion fruit cream. They do give you bread with a different humus spread every time which is really good. They also have a good selection on wines and whiskey/bourbon to pair with your meals. They make a mean cape cod. Honestly if you have not gone here and you are in Whidbey, you are not doing it right. Yes it is pricy, but I DO NOT CARE and neither will you.“

“Regrettably I must write I had the worst breakfast in recent memory this morning at Island Cafe. They get the food out extremely fast to you. I wish the cook had slowed down and not overcooked my eggs.I like eggs over medium. These eggs the whites were mostly brown. The hardest part of the meal was the potatoes. Extremely over salted. Big flakes of translucent salt heavily applied. I tried scrapping off but gave up . Why not let the diner add salt to their preference? Lastly the toast had butter heavily slathered on . The diner was not busy. I was the only one at the counter.This is not the time to be slinging hash !For me it was twenty dollars wasted .I eat a bacon and egg breakfast at a diner often. It is my favorite meal . Never again at this location.BTW the server was very nice. She apologized when I explained about the potatoes.I don't like sending food back . My meal is ruined at that point.“

“This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered take-out and it was prepared on time and was wrapped in foil, so was HOT after traveling home. The dishes were all so tasty - we got the veggies with shrimp, chicken fried rice, cashew chicken nut, pad Thai and the deep fried egg rolls and crab wontons. The crab wontons were delectable! We were so pleased with the service and food, and the prices were so reasonable! We will definitely be back!“

“The best BBQ food I've had in a long time. Went there during lunch and was pretty busy. Food took some time to get out but was worth the wait. I will definitely come back. The cornbread was fresh and with the brisket, was the highlight of the meal.“

“Tokyo Stop has been here several years but my understanding is it has recently been taken over by new owners and the change is very noticeable in the positive. The place has been remodeled taking on a more Japanese ambiance although the remodel is apparently still ongoing. The food has been remodeled also and I must say it is very good and the portions are very much in line with the prices. While dining-in seating is available they obviously are doing a huge takeout business. Now as for the food, we ate there last evening for the first time in over a year and it was so good we had to go back for lunch today. While it is primarily a takeout restaurant the quality of their food parallels that of an established sit down restaurant.If you have read some of my previous reviews on other establishments you know I give credit where it is due but also let it be known if you are better off going elsewhere. I highly recommend this Tokyo Stop; good value for your hard earned dollars.“

“I'm a pretty big conosur of Asian food and I've tried 3 other resturants in the Oak Harbor area and this one is by far the best. Whenever I go to a new Thai, or Chinese, resturant I always order the same thing, fried rice, pad thai, one appetizer. Naung Mai hit the nail on the hit for each one definitely will be coming back! Oh and the food is actually spicy which is freaking awesome :) delicious job!“

“Hillbottom is the only place in port Townsend that makes real pizza. The crust is always perfect and the cook on the whole pie is 10/10. They also make this india apple curry soup that is way to good. I am bery impressed by the qaulity and consistency they put out.Downsides, they are always busy necause the food is so good. Be patient because it is worth the wait. If you call in an order and the line is busy wait 5 mins and try again. All the pizzas are delicious including the potatoe pizza which has no business being as good as it is.“

The descriptions on the online menu don't do it justice. It's the only place I've ever been to that the macaroni and potato salads rival my mom's. The bbq sauce is perfect and should be bottled for purchase. We will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Best mac and cheese! “We visited after relaxing at "Soak on the Sound" and wanting somewhere nearby to eat dinner after 6:30pm. There was plenty of available parking, but this restaurant seemed short-staffed and stressed out. A different patron ahead of us in line was very angrily complaining about there being a 40 minute wait for food to arrive. As far as I could decipher, the staff stationed in the entrance hallway asked us whether we had a reservation to be able to dine-in, which we did not. Nothing seen before driving there had mentioned needing to make a dining reservation! However, they had several open tables that were never filled, and so that staff member pointed a finger towards an open one on the far side of the dining room and we sat ourselves. The menu had lots of tasty sounding options on it. Our appetizer, dinner, and dessert all tasted fine. The wait times all seemed normal to me, too. Two different servers came to our table throughout the dining experience and both listened attentively to our orders. Dishes were delivered individually to our table as soon as they were plated instead of together, which kept each plate extra fresh. I liked the little pieces of candy that came with our bill (it was Asian plum flavored, I think). I'd be willing to eat there again.“

Service animals are an understandable and wonderful thing. I had a craving and every other place was closing early for some reason but they let us put one in at the last minute and everything still tasted fresh!We got* spring rolls (so good and crispy)* chicken chow mein (could have used some more chicken and veggies but it was still delicious. Some places ruin their chow mein by overcooking the noodles. Not here!)* pork fried rice (this was my favorite! When I drove in to park I was impressed with the building which looked like it was newly constructed and nice finishes you can tell they went an extra mile to leave a lasting impression. The inside was equally impressive and reminded of that of an upscale China restaurant you would visit in New York or New Jersey.We had a a buffet style lay out that was brought straight to our table where the hostess orderd just about everything on the menu, so when I say I've tried almost everything on their menu, it's quite true, literally. some of my favorites were the kung pao chicken and szechuan beef, as well as the hot and sour soup....all so yummy and delicious. No cutting corners here. The service was as friendly and prompt. We had a party of 23 and everything went smoothly.
