“Had breakfast here after a night of camping, it was amazing! Loved watching the ferry come in and out. Employees were very nice and helpful, even brought our toddler some fruit to snack on while we waited for dishes. We can't wait to come back!“

“What a GEM of a restaurant! We ordered the half dozen oysters and the Chefs Menu for the evening and were so happy we did! Each dish was beautifully presented, held delicious flavors and textures together and each better than the last. I only remembered to take a photo of the protein dish (scallops), the rest were so amazing. Exquisite gnocchi, octopus and scallops dishes were dinner highlights while the house-made carrot cake was divine. What a wonderful experience ?“

“We lucked out and got a great table next to the window allowing us a wonderful view over the water. We started by sharing the crab cakes as an appetizer. It came with a very generous salad that we also shared. The crab cakes were very good. Some of the best we've had, and we have had our share of crab cakes. We each ordered the white wine mussels and, wow, they were fabulous. One of the reasons is, they come from Penn Cove which is a few minutes drive from the restaurant, so they just don't get any fresher. It was a decent portion. The wine, shallots, herbs, and lemon all combined to make an incredibly bright flavor.Service was good, and 4 stars is a fair rating for that. The big question is always, would I go back? Yes, I would, and will.“
“I live in the area so I haven't used the hotel part of the business but the breakfast is probably the best on the island the pancakes are just the perfect fluffyness and amazing service I have been there a plethora of times and am yet to have the food bad/ cold and no bad service I definitely recommend having breakfast here or any meal for that matter if your in the area“

“Absolutely yes, the place to go in Coupeville for good vibes and good food. A few tables have views over Penn Cove. I enjoyed succulent mussels one night and then tasty fish and chips the following evening. Nice beer and wine selection, and no hard liquor which keeps the place mellow and pub-like.“

“On a rainy stormy spring evening , we came across this hidden gem up a few blocks of the main street. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a beautiful smile and wonderful hospitality. There were no tables left, (reservations are a must) but no problem, we were offered to sit at the bar. It was full on a Thursday evening. It was fun to watch bartender Alexander make beautiful refreshing cocktails- my Margarita was the best I ever had! so smooth made with the best tequila. From my view I saw the meticulously clean & busy kitchen, looked like a scene from a cooking show. They created beautiful plates & tasted amazing! I had the best mushroom risotto and my husband had the house made pasta which was perfect. The pimento cheese and housemade crackers were spectacular! We split the yummy chocolate torte cake & sipped a macchiato. It’s rich so we took it home and enjoyed it for a night snack. We will definitely be back! I think we found our new favorite restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality, see you soon!“

“Dined for breakfast here the morning after our overnighter in Port Townsend. Super delicious biscuit gravy and breakfast sandwich. Service is fast & friendly as well. Blueberry Tart was a tad sweet but that can be resolved by asking for the sauce on the side rather than on the pastry.“

“What a surprise find! The staff were lovely, the service was excellent and the food was amazing. On a holiday from the UK to Seattle -> Vancouver -> Washington State we'll talk about this place as we tell our holiday tales. My prawns were amazing and my kids loved the food.“

“So more like four and a half. When I first came to this place maybe ten years ago was incredible still great but maybe a tad less salt. The stuffed mushrooms so goooooooood the pesto clams great specials not so special but the pasta and paella fantastic just salty but not too much to ruin flavor. Get reservations you need them and I will be back. Everytime I come this is a must go to place“

If so the answer to your question if you want a delicious BBQ is to visit Mo-Chilli BBQ. A family owned restaurant that cares about its reputation and its customers. “I mean it's hard to start because everything is top notch.I have been going to Fraisers since 2009, left whidbey for a while and now I'm back. The taste, atmosphere, and amazingness of this place has only improved. I'm convinced I'll never dine at a place like this anywhere else.Food is incredibly delicious, have not had 1 bad meal ever. So relaxing and romantic. Perfect portions, but yes you are always going to want more.Steak meals are absolutely amazing, look out for the pork loin special and seafood payeya! I had the chicken and waffle and rib meal and they were also really good. They have these meatballs appetizer right now that are amazing, but nothing beats the fondue to start. For desert definitely indulge in the cheese cake or the passion fruit cream. They do give you bread with a different humus spread every time which is really good. They also have a good selection on wines and whiskey/bourbon to pair with your meals. They make a mean cape cod. Honestly if you have not gone here and you are in Whidbey, you are not doing it right. Yes it is pricy, but I DO NOT CARE and neither will you.“

“Had the hamburger which was delicious. Cooked just right (medium rare). However, it was very busy when we arrived (around 12:30) and service was very, very slow. Thought maybe it was the wait staff. However, we had breakfast there one day and not many customers at all. Waitress was quick but food order was very slow in arriving Took almost 30 minutes to get receive food after ordering. Husband thought it was slow kitchen.“

“Great food and staff. Whoever does their social media needs to be replaced. They are closed now and then but rarely is there a post of it. I’ve asked and there’s a plethora of excuses. If you plan to go, assume nothing until you get there.“

“Regrettably I must write I had the worst breakfast in recent memory this morning at Island Cafe. They get the food out extremely fast to you. I wish the cook had slowed down and not overcooked my eggs.I like eggs over medium. These eggs the whites were mostly brown. The hardest part of the meal was the potatoes. Extremely over salted. Big flakes of translucent salt heavily applied. I tried scrapping off but gave up . Why not let the diner add salt to their preference? Lastly the toast had butter heavily slathered on . The diner was not busy. I was the only one at the counter. This is not the time to be slinging hash !For me it was twenty dollars wasted .I eat a bacon and egg breakfast at a diner often. It is my favorite meal . Never again at this location.BTW the server was very nice. She apologized when I explained about the potatoes.I don't like sending food back . My meal is ruined at that point.“
“My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The room was beautiful and had an incredible view of the water. Had a lovely swim at a park just half a block away. So many surprisingly great restaurant choices. Slept with balcony doors open. And then woke up to great coffee and bagels flown in from midtown Manhattan from a coffee shop on the block. Definitely coming back. Love this place and Port Townsend.“
