“This was my first time here today, and I got the #12 pho with everything in it plus two spring rolls. The pho soup was so flavorful, so good. I do recommend this place, the lady who helped me at the counter was also very nice and accomodating....will be back to try different dishes!!“
“Forever will be my family and i’s favorite pho place. We’ve been going to Viet Dong since we moved to WA in 2017/2018 and it has always been amazing. Unfortunately we moved to Georgia and the last day we were in WA they were at their daughters UW graduation. We miss you Kevin! Hope to visit WA and eat at the best pho place! I recommend trying the lemon grass chicken and well done brisket pho :)“
“Absolutely fantastic. I'm Viet and I'm generally pretty picky with Viet places, but I just loved this place through and through. The pho was really good, but the winner for me was the coffee, which was just a perfect balance of sweet, bitter, and strong. They also have eggy soda, which is a personal favorite of mine. The owner of the restaurant was a very friendly and kind man who made sure we always had everything we needed. We came on a weekday, which is very quiet and calm. It was a nice way to end a busy day. Highly recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide distance between tables—plenty of room for wheelchair users. No steps in restaurant. Areas for wheelchair entrance on curb“
“The food here is the star!!! The banh mi is jam-packed with delicious protein of your choice and pickled veggies. ??The decor is minimal so if you're looking for experiential dining, this ain't for you. But the food is ????. I'm coming back and recommending to my family and friends.Fave sandwich: coconut curry pork & shrimp“
“Excellent food! We started off with Crab Rangoon and egg rolls. Perfect portion sizes and cooked just right, every thing was ful of flavor especially the dipping sauces. I had the steak and brisket pho and my guy had the special fried rice. Both mouth watering delicious. I like spicy and they had some Perfect chilli sauce and pickled jalapeños. Bonus!! Forgot to take pictures every thing was so good. We will definitely be back next time we are up this way. Clean environment, easy parking and decent prices. Check it out!!Parking: Plenty of easy parking“
“Super bomb food and delicious Iced Vietnamese Coffee!I typically order a grilled pork banh mi and sometimes I'll pair it with the chicken fried rice. Super tasty! The chicken fried rice is large as well, if you're really hungry go for both, but honestly you just need one or the other (banh mi or fried rice) and it'll fill you up!I also love the Vietnamese Iced Coffee! I've been hooked every since I tried it. The quality of the coffee definitely tastes a lot better than something you'd get at another coffee stand.Highly recommend this place! Bomb food and coffee!“
“I've finally found my Pho place! The other reviewers are right, the broth is out of this world! I had to share it with my family and everyone was blown away! The toppings were fresh and plentiful too! We agreed it was the best Pho any of us have ever had. The place was tidy and clean. The prices were comparable to other places that weren't even as good. We'll be coming back regularly from now on!“
“I always feel welcome and love rocking out here. Great soft tendon, savory flank cuts, big side orders of my favorite cuts. I'm always treated very kindly with a smile here. The TV with music videos makes this place a little bit more special and fun.Parking: Very easy parking“
“Absolutely a must-try - the roast duck dry noodles and the combo rice plate are exceptional! Arrive early as they tend to sell out daily. The pickled greens on the side complement the dishes perfectly. Just be aware that parking might be a bit challenging due to nearby construction.“
“This place is fire. Don't live with mom so I don't get authentic Vietnamese anymore and this is as close as you can get.Vegetarian options: Just ask them to replace all meat with tofu. Beware for the broth though as a lot is bone-broth.Dietary restrictions: I eat mainly seafood and found a good selection here for me.“
“Grabbed a few banh mi's and drinks from this cool spot in Proctor and wow, so good! The bread is crunchy but still soft and warm. They use fresh ingredients and the service is fast and friendly! Vietnamese iced coffee is strong and delicious and they also have tasty bubble teas. So satisfying and can't wait to go back!!!“
“By far my favorite pho place in the area. Pho is super flavorful and the seafood pho especially is so good where a lot of other places lack. Go-to is the calamari appetizer with the seafood pho and adding the leftover chilies to the pho for some extra spice!“
“Stopped in based on the great reviews and found them to be well-deserved.Service was fast and attentive. Very friendly wait staff and quick kitchen. We enjoyed a pot of hot Jasmine tea and started with some fresh shrimp spring rolls and caramelized chicken wings. The rolls were generously sized but nothing special on their own. However, their iteration of peanut sauce was the best I've had and took the rolls to the next level! The chicken wings were very big, crunchy on the outside, juicy, and delicious! For our mains, we ordered pork pad Thai and chicken green curry. We asked for both to be medium spicy (3 out of 5) but neither had ANY kick to them at all. Despite not having any spice, both dishes were WAAAAAAY good and perfect portions. The curry might be among my favorite of all time. I can't even describe how rich, flavorful, and tasty it was... I want more already. The pad Thai was incredible, too. Plenty of meat and a wonderful coconut sauce to go with it.Get here!Parking: Large, strip mall parking for multiple businesses.“
“I have absolutely nothing bad to say about bambu. Ever.Me and my family have been going there for years and years and no drink has ever disappointed. From vietnamese coffee, to a strawberry white rabbit, they have drinks even the pickiest of people will enjoy.(While it sounds simple, I suggest trying a smoothies like the passion in love or very berry and adding rainbow jellies or popping boba. You'll thank me later)The store is adorned with studio ghibli, pokemon, animation, and just generally cute themes! They also offer sweet treats like waffles and fresh mochi cupcakes. (Dont worry they have ice cream too)Their staff is so kind, helpful, and hard working. If you don't know what to order, or you are wondering what goes into the drinks ingredient wise dont hesitate to ask! The staff knows the menu inside and out and will be more than willing to talk to you about it.Also with so many places asking for tips now, its hard to know when to tip well and who deserves it. Let me help you out, the staff are mostly younger people high school age to like mid 20s. (This is because the owner tries to give jobs to students who struggle to find somewhere that will hire them as their first job) these kids are putting themselves through college, or trade school, they have dreams of moving to their own apartments and being able to afford them, etc. These are the people who deserve tips without a doubt. So if you can afford it, just click that 15% button and know that its going to people who will genuinely use it!Honestly, I've seen some boba tea shops that had drinks double the price that just weren't nearly as good. The bambu staff is also fairly heavy handed with the toppings (trust me, that extra .50 cents for your fav add-in is so worth it)Also, one of my favorite things is their rewards program. You actually earn rewards and real discounts! This isn't starbucks folks. You don't have to buy 8000 frickin drinks just to earn a free add-in. You can earn free mochi cupcakes and a free large upgrade on your drink!Bambu is also involved in the community here in Tacoma and is available for catered events and holidays like the much anticipated lunar new year celebration and halloween when they encourage all ages to show up all dressed up and snap a pic with their drinksThe space itself is so well kept and clean. The kitchen area is honestly one of the cleanest I've seen and you better believe that staff is wiping down counters, floors, and doing dishes every chance they get!The ingredients are fresh and tested for freshness every morning before opening. I have never felt there was a risk of any old, moldy, or expired ingredients making their ways into my drinks or food.Overall, bambu is the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again. There is no leaving the store without a smile on your face and I swear your eyes will light up like a cartoon character when you try the drinks*special note: Although bambu is a chain, the owner of this specific Tacoma store is a ridiculously nice, hardworking, dedicated lady who is often behind the counter or working in the back alongside her staff. I see her put in so much effort to create this happy place for people and Tacoma is so much better as a community with her as a part of it. If you see her, be sure to say hi :)Kid-friendliness: There are menu specific items that are there for kids, when it comes to community involvement bambu does costume contests for halloween, toy drives in the winter, and kids art contests in the summer!“
“The husband brought me here because I was sick and thought some pho would do the trick. And my goodness, he was right. This is the 4th pho place we'd gone to after our favorite place closed down. The brisket pho is SO GOOD❤️? The owner was wonderful in making sure to take excellent care of us during dining in. ? ? ? ? ?“
“I'm from Louisiana and got the smothered catfish and was really happy. My spouse got the Cajun Pho and our 3 year old got the chicken nuggets with fries and they were both happy, too! The fries were even Cajun fries! Excited to go back and try more things! Great spot!“
“Incredible quality broth and good ingredients. Good atmosphere; it's exactly what you expect from a little pho place that you know is gonna be amazing. My wife and I are quite critical of the quality of the base and we were very happy with this place.“
“Best boba and milk tea place around! They also have the most amazing Vietnamese dessert drinks that you have to try! Everything is made fresh and in house. I am a weekly customer for a reason. Must try! Love the owners as well! Total people pleasers.“
“Great food, great service and great atmosphere! This is a must-try if you are looking for an outstanding Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle area. Portions are generous. I'm very impressed with the fresh and special herbs that I usually don't see at other restaurants. All the food I ordered were absolutely delicious.“
“Small restaurant, but there is plenty of parking. It is located across from the H Mart shopping mall. Pho is decent, and they have more selections on their menu, such as Wonton Egg Noodles and other authentic Vietnamese dishes. However, I only had Pho & the Wonton Egg Noodles. They were tasty. The price is cheaper than the other pho restaurants nearby. I like this restaurant because it's not as popular as the one nearby, but its quicker service, and no additional charge for take to go fee. It's worth eating here vs. a chain pho restaurant across street.“
“This place is so good! My husband and I were in the area and looking for some lunch. We go out for pho at least once a week, and are pretty picky when it comes to pho and we loved it here. The broth was so flavorful and delicious, lots of meat and the noodles were perfect. We also go the pork banh mi and fresh spring rolls which were excellent as well. We also loved the sweet ladies who were working. We have found our new favorite regular spot!“
“If I could give this place more stars I would, my only complaint is that this isn’t closer to where we live! We were looking for a place to eat that was open late and thankfully we ended up here! The service was some of the best we’ve ever received. Such kind and genuine people, he gave us suggestions on what to do, where to go and just made us feel like family. After such great service I would have enjoyed my experience even if the food would have been average but to our surprise every single item we tried was like wow! We will most definitely come back here anytime we are traveling through.“
“They are nice and respectful they make their food quick and season really well amazing food the price is good for the amount of food they give and the restaurant in general is beautiful inside it’s comfortable and a whole vibe check it outKid-friendliness: They are kind and dont tell or get impatient at all and they will go over everything to make sure they heard u right and help u if u need or want changes“
“Sandwiches were okay, nothing super special or unique. Husband and wife made the sandwiches. I think they thought they could memorize, but they got our order wrong with the mini details. We didn't complain though. I'd give it a 7/10!“
“We were served tea after taking seats, I think its a cultural respect. There may be a language barrier. They serve pretty fast, if you're on a short lunch break. Satisfying broth!! Sadly, I didn't like the chicken pieces. My husband ordered a brisket pho, enjoyed it. Spring rolls sauce is milky, we didn't like the taste, I am used to a peanut sauce. This place is a bit hidden, I didn't even notice it at first, as we only see Massage on the building, had to research a new Pho (our favorite Pho Hoang closed in Gateway Center) they just replaced it with Crawfish Island this month. I would go back here for the yummy broth!Parking: There is parking in the back“
“Aye I've been checking out all the best Bahn Mi joints in the Tacoma area. Pho Tai lands somewhere in the middle. Bread is good but the veggies just are okay. On top of it, no radishes. Just onions. Spring rolls and prices are trill tho. Stay cool y'all. 5 stars.“
“Just had an unforgettable bowl of pho at this hidden gem! The broth was a was a flavor explosion and the noodles were springy, not mushy at all. The slices of beef were cooked perfectly, topped off with a squeeze of lime and bean sprouts. Easily the best pho I've ever had, this place just set my pho standards sky-high!“
“Good food! Smiling and attentive staff. Selection is also great they have rice dish, gyoza, ban mih, fresh roll, mongolian beef, general tsao etc. Missing 1 star because I have tasted way better pho broth elsewhere but can be improved and desired to your taste with lime, Sriracha, and bean black sauce. Ambiance is nice, nature-y, and beautiful, doesn't feel like a local cheap pho place.“
“While passing through we found this place walking by. At first we were unsure as the place could use an update and we were the only ones there. However we were greeted warmly so we decided to stay. It took us a while to order and the food took some time, not bad though considering it was fresh. The portions were very generous. Both plates were excellent. Thai tea was delicious. The ladies were super nice. Would definitely recommend this place. If I ever drive through the area again I'm definitely coming again.“
“I dined in alone on evening while my wife was out of town. Sang, my server and the bartender made wonderful recommendations and was very helpful. I can't believe it took me 3 years to try this place. Now that I have I will absolutely be back. Food 10/10. I ate the soup for 3 days straight it was so huge. Order the Hue Spicy Noodle Soup & the Saigon rolls! So freaking delicious. Awesome neighborhood spot in an unassuming shopping strip.“
“We decided after numerous failures elsewhere to try this modest establishment for their pho. We had the Vegetarian and Beef rib and brisket. We gave the pho a strong 4 stars. There's always room for improvement and a 5-star pho has to rock my socks off. My wife really enjoyed her vegetable pho and the large serving would have fed a small horse. My brisket was tender and the flavor was as expected. The rib was pleasantly seasoned perfectly to set itself apart from the brisket. Maybe a little more care to prep the brisket as much of it came in huge clumps. Awkward. The broth did not disappoint. It was adequately present and not weak nor lacking flavor. I had the passion paradise tea and it was perfect! It was sweet, yet clean and refreshing. It paired well with the beef and herbs in the pho. Dining area was clean. Service was attentive without being overboard or lacking. We were grateful there was no TV, and while the music was good, like all the other restaurants, it was too loud, making conversation difficult. People want conversation without having to be loud. This alone will cause me to not return to many restaurants for dining in. We'll return soon and see if there were any improvements but I think a sold 4-stars is not bad.“
“Im the eat at home because I can cook better than most restaurants kind of person. Vietnamese cuisine specifically Pho being one of my favorite dishes and I've been to a lot of places and tried probably a hundred different restaurants at this point. I'd put this solidly in my top 10. Maybe even top 5. You don't get much better.Only con was the meat ratio was a little low but the cuts were quality and the price was did justify the amount of meat. Good deal and top notch food and service.“
“I come here frequently for my lunch and really enjoy the lemongrass tofu bánh mi and the Thai tea drink. Honestly, the drink is pretty big for the price - especially compared to some places. The workers are always so nice, especially the lady. Very friendly and polite and I love how fast the food gets prepared.“
“I’m pretty picky about my Vietnamese food. I feel like this place has really good quality ingredients and an assorted menu for a US-based place, even offering Vietnamese crepe (even though the online menu doesn’t seem to post it). I’ve only had that and the pho so am going to continue trying other items. Very casual spot/order at the counter. I’ve also ordered online once before and did not have any issues with my order being messed up. The large pho bowl is pretty big but manageable if you’re really hungry. Most people would probably be fine with a small.“
“This is a very good pho place near the place I live. The food is always fresh, the pho is always hot (in a good way), and all orders are made to expectations. Did I also mention the dishes are reasonably priced given that the food is consistently great. The customer service is prompt and attentive even when moderately busy. Definitely a very reliable place to have a great pho and food experience.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families tend to eat there and the way the restaurant is set up, sound is well controlled.“
“This is our go-to for Pho and Vietnamese fried rice. Banh mi are also pretty good here!Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetable dishes including vegetable fried rice and tofu spring rolls.Wheelchair accessibility: 1 level with ramp at end of front sidewalk.“
“You will never feel sorry for eating at Pho 7!! Spectacular Vietnamese cuisine with strong flavors for a decent price. We pick up from here regularly and tonight the gentleman behind the counter was kind enough to help me carry our drinks to my car when not even requested. A quality small business that I hope stays open forever. I love living across the street from Pho 7!“
“Wow, I did not expect this place to be so good, just stopped by on a whim and decided to give this place a tryI ordered a large Steak Pho to-go, and they absolutely delivered on the large part of that. Very generous portions, and very well presented! Every ingredient is obviously very fresh and high qualityI put it all together and gave it a taste and just wow! This has got to be the best tasting Pho I've ever had in my lifeAlso, the restaurant was very busy with both sit-in and take-out orders, so there is demand for this supply, and I can totally see why they are so busy“
“Amazing flavor hands down. If you haven’t tried the PHO broth is phenomenal and the flavor of al the noodles, thai basil, bean sprouts, jalepeno slices and meat is to die for. Bank Mi sandwiches are so fresh and ever bite is sooooo goood. The Rice noodle bowls have so much flavor and fresh ingredients and delicious meat and egg rolls makes for the perfect bite every time you have it. Thai tea is always fresh and definitely pairs well with every meal.“
