“Visited for the first time on April 11 for the Wednesday/ Thursday night couples dinner deal. We had steamer clams for the shared app, blue and Caesar salads, and pork chops and top sirloin for our entrees. For drinks, we opted for thyme, lemon martinis and a couple glasses of red wine. The martini was stellar.Our server was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. From start to finish the service was impeccable.The clams were a delicious way to start the meal , accompanied by fresh, warm sourdough bread and infused butter. The salads were great w/ quality dressings; the blue cheese dressing was unctuous and I enjoyed every bite. The pork chop had great flavor and the top sirloin was tender and delicious.We didn’t have room for dessert, but the house made desserts looked so incredible that we will surely carve out time to visit soon just for coffee and dessert.I can’t wait to come back to Gardner’s.Parking: Shared gravel lot w/ an adjacent brewery. Street parking as well.“

“The food was fantastic. It arrived quick and looked fresh and appealing.I ate there and it feels strange eating in a gas station. But I was fine with it. I will say, there was some interesting folks hanging in and around the place. I had no trouble, but feels a little off putting.I will be back for food again. Most likely take out“

“This place is amazing, we had a huge group and our server Ashely was over the top amazing! The food was better than great and they kept the refills coming on the fresh brewed tea! If pics are worth a thousand words .. here’s a novel of excellent proportions! Highly recommend bringing the whole family as the kids meals are deluxe!!! Seriously you won’t go wrong with anything!“

“What a fantastic find! I am so rarely impressed when I go out, but Chicory was absolutely incredible! So inspired and inventive! Everything was absolutely delicious! My taste buds and soul were so happy. Had the scallops, carrots, smoked potatoes and biscuits. I cannot wait to return and try more of the amazing menu! Service was wonderful. “The food is amazing! But be aware if you are ordering via UberEats or other delivery services. For some reason they do not look to see if you order 2X of the same item :( Many times you will only get one of the item) Yes, I still rated 5 because there are mistakes made in hospitality and the food is amazing.“

“We went to the Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar for my wife’s birthday. The gentleman that was our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu selections and he made a mean old fashioned! He accommodated us with our desire to take our time with our meal and he made sure that every little detail was perfect. The food was delicious, I had the white fish with gnocchi and my wife ordered the scallops. Every bite was perfection and neither of us could finish our dinner because the portions were healthy. I would recommend Dockside Bistro for a romantic dinner or for a special occasion.“

“We used the larger private dining room for a celebration and it was a fantastic experience. The food was great, our server Jazzlynn (I hope I spelled that right) was very attentive, the manager Sabrina organized everything perfectly. I highly recommend if you are having a gathering!“

“Had another great dinner here. The food is wonderful, and the prime rib was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Seafood Sauté, and the manager helped to make sure it was safe for her allergies. They have a great process for people with allergies. The manager makes sure to work with the chef, ensuring the dish is safe. They were able to have our information saved with a description of the dish changes that were made so it can be replicated by each chef.They had live music as well. The musician was pretty good, but the volume made it hard to have conversations at our table. It was loud even at the other end of the dining room.Will definitely go come back again!“

“Doing a short road to from Portland to Seattle and needed lunch- the best answer is not to get off the freeway and drive into Olympia - nope, stop here- quick on and off the freeway- the food is really good, the portions are large and well priced. It's Friday so, while the steamer clams looked great I went for the fish and chip special. Comes with a couple of pieces of fish, fries, slaw and a cup of clam chowder- all pretty great. Partner, also had a cup of chowder but, attempting to set a good example had a half salad and it was also good and a very ample portion. However he was casting an envious eye at my, probably less healthy but yummy plate. Being a more than amply serving I did share everything but the fish- nope all mine. With a good tip as yelpers always do- under $40.00- and, since it's a road trip enjoy the super clean bathrooms. An added benefit is the very short drive down the road to the Nisqually delta bird reserve. Even if you just drive in and take a short walk around the headquarters building it's a great way to get out of the car and stretch. So, a great meal and a visit to the bird reserve. Do yourself a solid, give these nice people your money - and say hello to the birds.“

“I went on April 2nd at 6pm and the male waiter was super nice but didn't even open my menu before I'm asked what appetizer. Then when it came to order, our orders were switched and screwed up three times and my son wasn't told some of his order wasn't available until after they were serving the rest of us. Then we had to wait for the last meal to hit the table to start eating which was several minutes after. And no refills of buscuits or water. I guess you have to ask for forks napkins and water .“

“I got the land and sea dinner. My steak was very tough , and I could hardly eat any of it. But the atmosphere was nice, with a view of the bay. Our waiter was awesome and even brought my little puppy a bowl of water. She was in her backpack carrier and was allowed to sit at the table with me. I'm disappointed about my dinner, my salad came out with it, instead of beforehand and my steak was not very edible, especially for the price.“
