“Food arrived extremely LATE but was DELICIOUS. They had a crispy avocado slices topping for burgers which was unique and tasty. We waited for over 30 minutes and only after enquiring about the order, they started preparing it (which took another 20 minutes). We understand that this might be because of the tourist season but we should've at least been informed about the delay.“
“Bitter sweet!Sweet: the food, the atmosphere, the coffee and the person that waited our table were amazing! The food tasted great and was fresh/made to order. Definitely recommend the curried egg salad sandwich and their cinnamon roll!!!Bitter: maybe it was just a bad day, but it felt like the owner wasn’t too pleased to help us, starting with trying to get a table, yes we were a big crowd but were more than happy to split ourselves up to not be disruptive. We were told to wait outside and that we would be called when our table(s) were ready, cut to 10 minutes later we have the owner coming out saying “if you don’t come in you loose your table” followed by “find a seat and if you don’t I’ll give it away”.“
“This is my favorite type of place. On the surface, it’s rough around the edges and has a very local feel to it. But once you walk through the door, you will find a fantastic place with interesting details and very good food. The person at front said they are having a terrible time finding good employees so they made the tough decision to have people seat and serve themselves in order to keep the restaurant going. We certainly didn’t mind and if anything, it enhanced the evening. We were all impressed with the quality of the food and I’d call Midtown Public House a must see place in Port Angeles. Don’t let the old and non descript exterior fool you. This is a great place to eat. There appears to be an attached bar that was pretty busy though we never went in since our parents were with us.Hope this place stays afloat. I think it’s great.Michael DelehantyCompass Real Estate“
“This is one of the best diners I've ever been to. Good was amazing. Pancake was a big as the plate. Hash browns were the best I've had, anywhere. The place is so cool and the decorations are well done. I love that there are live plants at the counter and I just can't say enough about the food. I like trying pancakes and sausage at diners all across the country. I cohosh decide on links or patties as I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to come back any time soon. She didn't even hesitate to offer a patty and two links. Glad she offered because the links were great. High flavor and juicy with that snap on the casing. The patty was so savory and delicious.“
“Hashbrowns were perfect, fresh and not greasy. Sourdough toast with thier preserves was great. Eggs were cooked perfect ? chicken fried steak was made really well, perfect amount of breading, not greasy, lots of meat. The gravy was wonderful too. Highly recommend. Oh! And I cannot forget to mention the vienese coffee, never had one before but now I want any coffee I have to be this ?“
“This little shack of a coffeehouse was pretty awesome down the street from our hotel. The hotel coffee is never good so I seek out small shops in town. This one did not disappoint, it’s a drive up window to order and drive around to pick up. The atmosphere isn’t applicable here, but the latte I had was great! Lucky find. Friendly service. Perfect for the drive to Olympic National Park and Hoh rain forest.“
“I ordered the Caboose Burger and tater cheese bombs online. The food was ready to go when I got there, and it was piping hot in the best way possible. The burger patty was the same size as the bun, that's hard to come by these days. The burger toppings were fresh and the sauce was great. I was disappointed by the tater cheese bombs, there were only 5 of them, and while they were crunchy on the outside, the inside had the consistency and appearance of scrambled eggs. For $7.59 I was extremely disappointed in those. The staff was friendly, and it was easy to find. For the price the burger was fair.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“Stopped in on the morning of Christmas Eve. Good standard breakfast, plus delicious GF French toast. At the end of the meal they let us know all meals were on the house for Christmas Eve and we could pay what we wanted. We will be back often.Vegetarian options: Vege scrambles and will make scrambles without eggs for vegans.“
“The workers were so nice and were completely okay with being asked questions even though they were busy. They have a monthly drink list, which had several different drink types on it instead of just sticking to one type of drink. The atmosphere was extremely laid back and easy. The only complaint that I would have is that they did not have the prices listed clearly. (At least not that I could see.)“
“My boyfriend and I came in today for the first time and the husband and wife were so friendly and so sweet! The coffee I got was AMAZING as well! Definitely the best coffee I’ve had here in Washington! :) the atmosphere was warm, calm and “
“Another morning and another amazing coffee shop discovered in Port Angeles. Blackbird Coffee has absolutely everything you would want in a coffee shop including great coffee, great food, art on the walls and a spectacular crew working there. Everyone is so nice they all seem like owners and we certainly felt welcome even if we didn’t necessarily appear as locals. The next time there is a ferry to catch in Port Angeles, get there early and stop at Bkackbird coffee. You will thank me for that little tip.Michael DelehantyCompass Real Estate“
“My husband and I ate here last week (end of March 2024) while visiting Port Angeles for the first time and it was an incredible experience. The service and atmosphere was great, absolutely no complaints. But the food was GREAT! We still talk about how delicious it was. First and foremost, we were thrilled that they had a large vegetarian menu. The vegetarian sandwich was delightful - the focaccia bread on the sandwich was *chefs kiss*. Their drinks were fantastic as well. My husband said the coffee was the best he had during the whole trip and the London Fog I had was the best London Fog I've ever had. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. Would recommend 10/10.Vegetarian options: Large vegetarian/vegan section of the menu (1 whole side of three-fold menu) with a large variety between dishes.“
“Love this place when they are open. Great food. Great service. Great location. It was a bit of a wait while they were closed for the holidays but the old adage “ good things come to those who wait “ has never rung truer.i waited and was not disappointed. Had a wonderful experience dining here. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who needs a good steak and great desserts.“
“Best Mexican food on the Peninsula. Knew it would be good when I walked in and saw actual Mexicans eating here, and not just a bunch of fat white people. Reminds me of the corner taco stands in California, and is very affordable as well. Will definitely be eating here again.“
“Yall were not kidding when you raved about them Brussel sprouts! My friend and I DEVOURED those! It was my birthday today and we decided to give them a try because they seemed to have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options. While I will say their vegetarian and vegan options were limited, the ones they did have were delicious! The food was fantastic, service was great, and the atmosphere was very homey. Highly recommend!“
“Flew in from Texas, and this place was AMAZING. Both of us got burgers, which were juicy, well-cooked, and had Tilamook cheese, fresh veggies out of the garden, and toasted bun. Then we topped it off with dessert, also made from fruits/berries from the owner’s garden. And as incredible as all the food was, the guy who was running the front of the restaurant was even better. We will definitely be back anytime we’re in the area! This was a win all the way around!“
