Restaurantji unveils Sammamish's must-visit Mexican dining spots.
“Great service from Cameron and crew today. This is becoming my new "home" location, and I'm over the moon with the level of service and quality of the food. Feels great to support a PNW business that treats it's employees well-- you can taste the love in the food. Highly recommend this location.“
“out of all the chipotles i visit, i feel like this location always gives the best portions and the food is always fresh too but idk if it’s all day since i mostly visit after 6pm? anyways shoutout to the evening crew cuz it’s always worth the “
“Deli! No había encontrado taco fish tipo baja con un sabor tan auténtico en el área. Definitely recommend, they’re very good tacos, bigger than usual in a great way. The red salsa is sooo good! Will definitely come back. Friendly staff, cute spot, great tacos what else do you need?“
“So delicious and affordable, especially if you need a little snack! My new fav taco joint. The tacos are loaded up too, so you only need a few to fill up. Highly recommend the lengua and beef cheek. The beef cheek especially is so rich and fatty. Horchata is a nice counterpart. Can't wait to come back and try their margaritas.Parking: Parking lot in strip mall.“
“Pretty decent taco spot with some nice and spicy salsas, 3 burritos, a candy, and 5 tacos ran me about 45 dollars. Extra points for staying open till 8pm on Sat compared to the other tavonstands that closed at 7pm.Kid-friendliness: Plain tacos were so good my kid wanted more.“
“The service is amazing. U feel important when u go there.and the food is delicious. I'm vegan and they hv a vegetarian menu and will adjust to ur liking. No wheelchair seating. No wheelchair door.Vegetarian options: Alot of options. They hv beans with no lard.Dietary restrictions: No msgParking: It's good.i park in front. Good 4 handicap parking.“
“Great spot to grab some yummy Mexican snacks! The mango was super fresh and delicious. Hot Cheetos and cheese....what else do you need? Maybe some heartburn but worth it! We also got the chicharron preparados but without the chicharron. My daughter doesn't like it. It was still delicious. It's nice to have something culturally different in Woodinville!“
“One of the best taco places I've found in Kirkland and on the eastside in general! Their adobada and carne asada meat are tender and not too salty, which is a problem I've run into with other taco places (dry or way too salty). I love their self-service sauce bar where you can load up on your favorite condiments. Their sauces are all pretty good! Also their churros are delicious and addicting...they have this filling inside of them that is really good and come with a whip cream-like sauce on the side. I'll be coming here to get my taco fix from now on!“
“Great tasting food, with items available gluten free, and safe for this Celiac. The birria tacos were delicious and I didn't get sick at all! Note that not all of the items labeled gluten free actually are, so make sure to ask questions. In other words, the chips are cross contaminated in a shared fryer so they aren't safe.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Recently my family and I was looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat out at and we stumbled upon El Toreador. Not only was the food high quality and delicious the portion was huge and very satisfying. We got complementary tortilla chips that was amazing as well as one free refill of soda. The next thing I want to write about are the lovely staff that were extremely welcoming and helpful when we realised that my sister had forgotten her headphones. They kindly kept them safe till we got back. The only thing I did not like was the smell when we walked it but it did seem to vanish later. Overall I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!“
“Been coming to this food truck for a few months after a jobsite and I gotta say they're the best tacos in the area by far . Hand down the adobada tacos are a dream. Very cheap price and plenty of meat for the tacos. If you order a burrito be prepared to take half home to finish it.“
“We have been eating at Tres Hermanos since 1995! It’s absolutely delicious and the service is top notch. I highly recommend!!!! I have diet restrictions and they are very accommodating to make sure I stick to what I can eat and still get a delicious meal!“
“I have been going here for years, and it's a staple in my family. They seem immune to the decrease in quality -> increase in price trend that has plagued nearly every establishment since our emergence into early post-human oligarcho-technocracy. Maybe it's sentimentality but this place is consistent above all else and has never sold me a sub-par burrito.“
“I’ve tried the chicken, asada, and carnitas now and all options are equally delicious. I recommend the carnitas godfather burrito and chicken tacos especially. The carnitas is smoky and juicy, and whatever spice blend they use compliments the chicken very well too. ? I could eat their burritos every day and not get sick of it honestly lol. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area and looking for some good Mexican street food. ☺️“
“The decor and ambiance is great. Love the sophisticated sugar skull murals and textures on the walls. The service is friendly and attentive. The pork belly appetizer made my eyelids flutter as I slumped back in appreciation. The food was all top notch, even if the refried beans were somewhat pedestrian. Will be back!“
“We ordered and went and picked up some burritos yesterday. And they were absolutely delicious. We are working on a job site close by and will probably eat there again today. It’s awesome to find a place that has great service and great food.“
“Love love love this place!!! The food is LEGIT. The menu changes which makes it more exciting and fun. The service is always super great and nice. The atmosphere is dope and chill. This place is VERY VERY underrated. It doesn’t take a bit longer to get the food but it’s absolutely worth it!!“
“I sat in the bar area which is roomy and has several screens to watch. The food was generously portioned but not really the flavor profile I enjoy. Too much tomato-based sauce for my preference. I prefer my rice and beans more on the crispy side. Chicken was somewhat dry in the enchilada. Nice atmosphere though.“
“Not bad, but not amazing. Viewed in the context of food available in a shopping mall, I'd say it's as good as you are going to get. Kudos for the chips and salsa provided free of charge. The chips are quite crispy and good. Service was very attentive and thoughtful.“
“I've come here multiple times for take out now. Their lengua tacos are my go to, because they are very delicious, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Their horchata is some of the best in the area and it's made to be drank with ice. If you ask for it without ice (which I generally do), you can cut it with extra milk and still get a TON of flavor. Burritos are also very tasty, although not as big as some other food trucks.Prices are reasonable, and I appreciate that they have hand sanitizer, a hand washing station, and tables under the shade.“
“Food had great flavor. Typical food truck. Nothing different other than their menu is extensive for a restaurant on wheels.Since we dined in I was a bit irritated to see the first charge on my receipt was 15¢ for the bag they put my burritos in. I could’ve carried them without a bag and the charge. At least they should let customers know of the charge. That’s really my only beef.“
“This food truck has delicious food and a covered seating area. My go to is the sopes when I want something small. When I want something larger, there are a variety of entrees. I haven't yet tried one I didn't enjoy.I will also always be grateful to this food truck for introducing me to champurrado, although they no longer serve it.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options and you can get tofu as one of the protein options.Parking: The parking is in the lot of an office building and there always seems to be plenty.“
“The food is good but a bit expensive. They give good portions though. Today I ordered to go.. They misunderstood my order and I ordered only one quesadilla but they noted that at 2 and charged me for two instead of one even after the clarification.“
“My favorite taqueria on the East Side. Some taco places make their Al pastor/barbacoa too “wet,” and not crispy or rich enough. Not these guys. Much like their birria, it’s distinctly flavorful.Pro-tip: most tacos are great if you get them “Señor Taco” style (added shoestring fries, guac and pico), but get the fish tacos plain. The sauce is amazing and can hold its without any “sidekicks.”The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. The place is small, but well kept.“
“I came here for the first time last year and since then I’ve come here at least once a month. Their food is delicious!! They bring out chips and salsa but what makes them different than every other restaurant is they have, what I call “cabbage salsa”. It’s not actually a cabbage based salsa but it’s a pico de gallo of sorts with the tinies amount of cabbage in it. It is DELICIOUS. The red salsa is also very tasty and the green salsa has that kick when you need a little spice. The staff are always extremely friendly and kind. I have never, not once gone to Agave and left disappointed or underwhelmed. This is the best food in the plaza, and I stand by that statement 100%. Their macho burrito is huge and so good, or their enchiladas when I don’t wanna have leftovers. If you love yourself, do yourself a favor and go into Agave. I would be genuinely shocked if you didn’t enjoy it.“
“Amonos! is great. I've only ordered take out from this restaurant, and it is one of my favorite's for Mexican cuisine. It is not laid out for ample seating to eat in, but you could. This is my GO TO for a bunch of dishes on my commute home.Local. Authentic. Delicious.I hope the secret gets out because they deserve all of their continued success. Grateful for Amonos! quality and consistency!“
“I love Casa Durango. Lot's of good food choices, some favorites are the pozole verde, Durango Burrito Asada (so huge it's two meals for me), and their enchiladas make a satisfying lunch. Antonio and crew are so welcoming, it always feels like when I hung out with mi familia as a child. As a regular, Antonio has in the past given me beer glasses and a T-Shirt and is sometimes known to make my margarita a double or special with a float of Grand Marnier. Well worth visiting!“
“Best tacos for your money. They cost around $2.50 per taco. Where else can you find such a good deal? I do wish they had more options (buche), but what they have is just fine. Overall, I recommend coming here if you are in the area or if you want some reasonably priced street tacos.“
“Whenever my wife and I are planning a date night, whether it's just the two of us or we're bringing friends along, El 42 Cantina is at the top of our list. This place has never let us down, matching fantastic service with equally fantastic food every single time.Starting off with the appetizers, you can't go wrong. We always go for the nachos to share around the table, and they're a huge hit. Loaded up and perfect for getting everyone stuck in, they're the ideal way to kick off a meal here. Then, it's onto the tacos, which are out of this world. No matter which variety we've tried, each one has been a flavor-packed delight. It's pretty rare to find a spot where you look forward to every single item on the menu, but El 42 Cantina has nailed it.Honestly, I've never had a meal or even a moment here that wasn't top-notch. Everything about this place, from the vibes to the dishes, is just spot on. If you're on the lookout for a guaranteed good time with some seriously tasty food, El 42 Cantina should definitely be on your list. Highly recommend it!“
“Not really a fan of outdoor eating. But la Tia Angelina is the spot to eat at. Well worth every penny when it comes to great service and friendly staff & excellent food.Kid-friendliness: Remembers to go that extra mile for great service.“
“The Woodinville Taco Time is the best. Easy parking, drive-thru, nicely landscaped, comfortable inside dinning, friendly staff and most of all fresh tasty food - typically significantly better than most other locations. And like all Taco Times far better than Taco Bell.“
“Before leaving the area to another work location, I found this place in google maps so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the carne asada plate w/corn tortillas and a soda. Got generous and very tasty portions. It was close to the hotel I was staying at, wish I would’ve find it earlier. I definitely recommend it!“
“BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We had them at our backyard wedding and everyone was obsessed! They were so fast and accommodating to everyone and food was always amazing and fresh for everyone. Couldn’t recommend them more!! My guest are still messaging about how great the food truck was!“
“If the occasion calls for a lavish splurging on myself, this is another Mexican place I prefer to order from. I’ve particularly enjoyed their habanero sauce that I so shamelessly ask extra helpings of. The nachos that come as complimentary snack is usually good, but of late I smell the “ old oil” in the chips n it starts tasting weird. It would be better if they don’t offer the nachos, but I’ve particularly enjoyed their vegetarian enchiladas with gaps and half sauce. I love their very huge portion of burritos.Masa kitchen accepts orders on phone and since it’s just a few meters away, I call ahead in time to place my order and stroll down to pick up my order. The staff is great and I’ve never had to wait for my lunch to be put together. I love their food!“
“The best Mexican food you’ll find around here.-The adobada(Al pastor) actually has pineapple?-they offer lengua(beef tongue) and tripas(tripe)-They have horchata and Jamaica(hibiscus water)-You can easily order online. One thing is, I wish the veggie burrito included a variety of veggies, maybe fajita veggies or mushrooms. It is just a regular burrito without any meat: beans, lettuce, and cheese.“
“Honestly can’t wait to try more things on the menu. I got pork, chicken, and adada tacos as well as the enchiladas. The carmalized onion, pickled radish, and lime slices complement them well. The verde salsa is perfect. Adding a few little grilled jalapeños for a little kick ?? this place is probably the best Mexican food I’ve had since being in Washington. Good flavor, fresh taste, awesome prices. Up next is the chili relleno and some tongue tacos“
“Nearly didn’t come here because of the star rating on yelp BUT thank god i did!It doesn’t get more authentic and Mexican than this really tasty food and friendly staff. The vibe food and service was on point! Definitely give it a chance. Thank me later !“
“Happened upon here on a bike ride and I don't know what took me so long! Who doesn't love tacos and to have so many different variations kicks it up a notch. I had the Glazed Shrimp taco - loved the flavors and crispiness of the shrimp, and it was the perfect size for me (for lunch). Pair that with chips and guac, and a mango margarita and it was a perfect afternoon (love the small patio outside which made it so our dog could hang out as well). Will totally make this a standard stop on our Sunday bike rides to try out other different tacos.“
“We celebrated our daughter's birthday with dinner. The calamari appetizer was fresh and elegantly served. Spinach salad with mushrooms, bacon, and Gorgonzola was delicious. The three pasta dishes we tried were absolutely perfect! Service was well paced and attentive. We will definitely return to Luigi's!“
“The food was absolutely delicious on a rainy Seattle day. The carne asada burrito was the highlight for me and was a great snack between wineries! The rest of my group that ordered other items had nothing but good things to say! (Went back and grabbed an extra burrito for lunch the next day haha.) Service was also fantastic and the kind woman who took my order made sure to text me when the order was ready and packed plenty of the salsa verde which is to die for!“
“We love this place. The food is outrageously delicious. They often make errors on to go orders. Sour cream is homemade and amazing. This is now our favorite Mexican restaurant by far.May 2020: Great meal, safe ordering! We will definitely order there again. They took my credit card number on the phone, and dropped the food/drink in my trunk with mask and gloves. No contact at all. We ordered the carnitas burrito, carne asada, chile relleno, taquitos, and 2 margaritas. My son was crazy for the taquitos and rice and beans and chips. I've never seen him eat so happily (or so much!) We loved carne asada! Carnitas burrito was ok. It was all meat, and didn't see the other things included. But I put sour cream and salsa and it was great. I had the Agave Margarita. Yum!! Also ordered Cadillac Margarita, also delicious. They serve the to-go margaritas in canning jars. Salt is on the rim under the lid, I ordered "no ice." I would order w ice next time. 16 oz margarita was just 8 oz without ice. But it was delicious and generous alcohol. I adore the canning jars. You seriously could take home, open lid, and enjoy. Their bar is incredible. They also had nice holders like at Starbucks to keep the glasses from rolling around in your trunk! Glasses cost $1 each, if you want a drink you pay the surcharge. So fun to drink from a jar. ? I will be back for the carne asada. Enjoy!Kid-friendliness: Nice kid's menu. Good drinks.“
“Have never had bad food here. Blackberry Marqurita's are excellent. Best tortilla soup. You can have complimentary chips, fresh salsa, guacamole, green sauce with pork, beans and or sour cream. While you wait. They have a really good bacon cheese burger❣️The southwest steak burrito is good it has zucchini, summer squash , black beans to just name a few of it's contents.Camarones(shrimp)Happy hour during week in bar think it's 3- 6Special menuThey do have a senior and kids menuKid-friendliness: Kids in the dining room“
“The kitchen is awesome. And not retarded over priced like most of this area. The bar staff is great, and as often as they get hit on, they are still cool... Generally, the music is solid and most of the guys we have played pool with, have been cool.“
“I go here about ever 2 months when my wife is craving good old carnitas burritos. There came a point where I lost my favorite water bottle and couldn't find it anywhere in my house. About 2-3 months later, I stop in La Venadita as usual to get some tamales. The manager sees me and says "Hey boss, did you lose this?" and pulls my water bottle out from under the counter, where presumably he had kept it safe specifically waiting for me to return. 5/5 service. Food's pretty good too.“
“It's a small but big on flavor.Because it has that Mexican touch that we all look for so as not to forget our roots and this place has it.Excellent place, I don't live here in Seattle Washington.I live in Santa Ana California. I came to visit but I recommend it 100% I give you *****“
“I love taco time but not for the tacos. I love them for one specific item that they have recently brought back. That piece of art is the Caesar soft taco. I don’t know why they ever took it away and whoever thought that was a good idea should reconsider their life choices. Other than the continuous romaine lettuce scares I can’t see a world where taking this item off the menu is a good choice. I am even willing to say I’ll ensure ecoli if that means I can enjoy a chicken Caesar wrap from my local taco time.Thank you for reading and please don’t ever take away my chicken Caesar soft taco.“
“I stopped by the other day to Casa mistaka and I was overwhelmed with the wonderful and amazing products they have available for the consumer. I was very excited about seeing the quantity and variety of bottled chiles Salsas that they have as well as their produce and a complete meat department with a butcher that will cut your meat any way you want. The staff is amazingly courteous and professional I want to give my congratulations to the owners of this place and I highly recommend the shopping as well as the restaurant part of the store. Bravo casa mixteca keep doing a great job!“
“Grabbed dinner with a close friend [to catch up] and they were adamant on this particular location- while at first I was reluctant [we both live more North and commute south to Redmond] afterwords I understood why. Everything about the experience proved to be a memorable experience [which catching up with a good friend can also contribute to]: despite having not the most ideal seats [high bar tables] due to the business at the particular time we went [~7:30 pm]; the environment, food, and service quickly quenched any distaste. I remember making a mental note of seeing how the waiters/waitresses interacted with one another in between making their rounds and how it acts as a testament of the apparent good environment- they appear to genuinely enjoy their jobs which in turn makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Long story short, I can now see why Matador is my friends' favorite restaurant!“
“I've tried the enchiladas, the burrito, the quesadilla, the torta, the carne asada, and various tacos (fish, carne asada, adobo, etc.) and they do not disappoint which is why I will keep coming back.Wash it all down with a Mexican Coca-Cola or horchata... Mmmm!“
“Large portions.I asked for a lemonade and got a whole mugI asked for a cucumber margarita and was expecting a tall glass but received a chalice so no complaints from me.The margarita was amazingThe food was also great. As any hispanic that has eaten bowls of rice and beans will appreciate that the beans and rice don't taste like they came out of a bag but from my grandma's house.“
