The food and setting are good, but not exceptional. I’m happy I tried Autumn, but there is a reason no one talks about it. For the price point, I would expect to be wowed a little more. Certainly nothing wrong with our dishes, but in a city with great food, there are other places that offer more nuance. Truly delicious. Highly suggest the chef's tasting menu. Every experience I've had at Autumn has been exceptional, from the service to the cocktails and especially the food.
What seems to be a simple little neighborhood restaurant is so much more. Great food with the right preparation to be so much more than the usual. Imagine...pasta without cream sauce or marinara. So wonderful in creativity and presentation. Fresh fish with recipes beyond the normal breaded or something else that actually hides the flavors rather than enhances them like this restaurant does.
