Good fresh seafood and friendly workers. Prices are reasonable.
Excellent spot for fresh, local seafood. You can call ahead to order if you need to, or just walk in and it'll be pretty quick anyway. Love the deals you can get if you buy a whole salmon side (which they're happy to butcher and trim for you).
Forget the showmanship of Pike's Place. When I think of an authentic local fish market, this is the kind of place I'm thinking of!
We got here around 11:30AM to buy some crab bait, which is really just the fresh scraps / ends of fish that they can't normally sell. It's pretty cheap at about $2/lb. We also bought a baguette for the road trip, which was actually pretty good here. They also sell chowder and of course, many different types of seafood.
