“We went to the one in Spokane for a date night and loved it. We liked the garlic beef, lamb and pineapple the most! Very similar to the one we went to in Merida Mexico. As chefs we love new experiences. I would say the pickled carrots and onions were spot on. Some more creative options on salad bar would be cool and deserts could use some suggestions but over all, brilliant experience! Thanks for a great date night!”

“Gotta admit, this was a last-minute decision and, as I pulled up, I was seriously doubting my choice to stop here. Grungy-looking Flying J. Basically, a rebranded mini-mart that you get to by exiting the highway and going through no less than three roundabouts.
Interesting customers (inside and outside). Interesting workers (in the mini-mart). This Subway is about the size of a closet. Not sure I have seen one this small. There were a couple of people ahead of me. A female was working solo initially. Another employee came back from break and started to help as well (clearly, a trainee).
The female finally got to me. AMAZING! Great disposition. Conversational and efficient. I ordered a salad. She made it as I requested. I paid. And I left. I wish I got her name because she deserves a raise given how great she was in providing excellent customer-service in this less-than-appealing location.
Those negative reviews? Geesh, some of you are just interested in whining! Did you notice where this location is located?!?! You complain it isn’t open 24hrs., but then some of you actually post the message explaining why. So, what do you expect them to do? I mean, be fair.
Not sure I would ever go here again (like I said, a last-minute decision). But I would consider coming here again if that female employee was working. Can’t be an ideal spot to work. But she made the experience much better than I was expecting. Thanks for helping me out when I needed some dinner on the go!”

“I wanted to write a review specifically for Heather, as she deserves some recognition for doing a great job.
I don't normally eat at McDonalds these days, but every so often I'll get a curbside order for breakfast when my husband is getting home from work or getting ready to go to work since he's a truck driver and this is easy at random times of morning.
I have never really had any issues here, sometimes there's a bit of a wait but it's usually not bad. Today, Friday March 7th, I put in our order for curbside. As usual we did a count to make sure we got everything, but my husband didn't notice that one of the sandwiches was wrong. We get to his truck and sort out the food, and that's when I noticed I didn't get a mcgriddle but a sausage muffin. Not a huge deal, tho the muffin was $1 cheaper than the mcgriddle. I called them before I went to head over, and I got Heather.
Heather was so sweet. I think she was the one that filled the order, and she apologized for the mixup and offered a refund or a new sandwich. I went in and she gave me the sandwich, no issue. I did ask for another hashbrown as the original was now cold, which I did feel bad asking for, but she gave me one no problem which she did not have to do. She just seems like a happy, bright person too. Other places could learn from her - mistakes happen, but it's how you react and what you're able to do to fix it that matter. I feel like this shouldn't be a big deal, that this is what anyone would do - but I know for a fact that not all servers or fast food workers are willing, or even able, to fix issues. So, I just wanted to make sure that Heather and her supervisors/managers/whatever know that I appreciate her and that they should, too.”

“10.13.24: We had to come back after trying Beard Papa's for the first time back in September for a Yelp event. I'm all about consistency and our first time in was so great that I wanted to try it again to make sure it wasn't a hit or miss kinda place.
Well let me tell you, the consistency of Beard Papa's cream puffs are definitely there and so is Mark's excellent customer service and attitude. The woman who also works there (wife maybe? I don't want to assume ) is really nice and friendly too. The store is really clean, which is an inviting plus.
This time around as a dine-in treat, we ordered the Purple Oreo (Oreo custard filling w/ ube and Oreo topping), Churro w/ horchata custard filling, and Cereal filled w/ frozen mango custard. As a take home, we ordered a half dozen of the classic puffs with vanilla custard. My friend also keeps ordering this Oreo custard shake that he says is thick and delicious lasts the entire hour ride home.
I love how you can make your own unique custom cream puff that would suit even the people on the pickier side. I enjoy trying the flavors of the month and they're all so different too, not too mention really flavorful. If you love tropical flavors, then the frozen mango custard is worth the try. The purple Oreo is a great catch for Halloween month. The subtlety of the ube mixed with the Oreo makes for a perfect sweet chocolatey goodness. I was surprised with the Churro horchata because I thought the horchata would be more on the plain side. I was totally wrong and the horchata had a great cinnamon and nutmeg flavor combo.
We come to town about once a month and Beard Papa's is a place I look forward to stopping at every time! Fyi, they have updated fall hours.

Unfortunately the price like most things is too high for this to be a regular place to visit. But ice cream probably shouldn't be a regular thing in the diet so it probably works out fine. No real place to enjoy your ice cream there. It's more of a walk in and continue walking treat.

Our table ordered their Nashville hot chicken sandwhich and waffle fries, the chicken fried chicken and a biscuit, the breakfast Beignet, the Cesar chicken salad wrap and the grilled chicken panzanella salad. “A real gem in Spokane, from the wooden beams and eclectic touches of old world charm to the classic Italian dishes, this is really good eats. The portions are hearty in true Italian form, plan on being delighted. Everyone, service wise was friendly and delightful. We so enjoyed our visit. The special was butternut ravioli with a brown butter sauce, sage, goat cheese and dried cranberries, we loved the slightly sweet delicate flavor of this dish with a little kick from the goat cheese, this dish. Was wiped out quickly by both of us. I had ordered the gnocchi which is a house special, I love any combo of prosciutto, garlic, peas and shallots, so it was a no brainer for me, it came baked with a creamy Parmesan sauce and a nice bubbly light cheesy crust, the gnocchi was soft and cloud like. We shared a salad with a creamy gorgonzola dressing and I loved it. The topper was the house made tiramisu, it was quite unlike any others I have had and was so good, we ordered a second to take home. The creme layers were light but not thin, they added shaved chocolate and was soaked in Bailey's, Kahlua and Rum, which made for a decadent tiramisu, but not overly done or alcohol flavored, it was a treat. I don't know why we haven't been there before, but it's now in my top ten dining spots for Spokane. P.s. we say the Tuscan chicken and the gorgonzola steak go out and wow they looked yummy too 😊”

“I’ve been to this Applebee’s a few different times, and this time was by far the better visit. I took my mother out to eat here since she had never been to an Applebee’s before.
My mom got the fish and chips, she really enjoyed them (and she’s usually picky about her cod sticks.)
I got the ribeye 12oz, which was enjoyable as well for the price.
However, my favorite part was our server, Ashley. She was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. Very friendly too, unlike some other times I’ve been there I felt like I was not a burden to her for coming in. Today was also a busy day but her attitude didn’t waver no matter what. She was smiling, and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal.
Very kind, and funny as well.
There was also a manager on the floor constantly interacting with guests. The managers name was Kyle, very friendly guy, even when he was dropping off our food orders.

“In February of 2020 I flew into Spokane to be with my mother who ultimately passed away from complications of cancer at Deaconess Hospital. Your restaurant was the highest rated and recommended steak house by all the hospital staff and locals. I wanted to say a thank you for the special treatment I was given at your restaurant that night. I explained to the hostess my reason for being in town and that I really just wanted to eat my meal and enjoy a few drinks by myself overlooking the river. Obviously that area was seasonally closed, but I was immediately accommodated under the less than usual circumstances and allowed to sit by myself overlooking the Spokane river on a cold dark February night and enjoy my meal and drinks. I have never forgotten that experience and how much it meant to me in that moment and I always remember it every February since. I never got to say thank you to your staff.”
