“This place is seriously awesome! Food was fantastic, the concept is amazing, and the staff was beyond friendly. My kids absolutely loved it and have been asking to go back. Thank you for a great dinner/evening.”
“Went there tonight for dinner with my husband. He had the perch dinner. I had the seafood chowder & whitefish sandwich. Let me tell you, that chowder was SOOOOO good!! I'm going to rave about this because I just loved the taste. The rest of our food was good too. Definitely would return when coming back to Door County.”
“We absolutely love popping in and having some beers whenever we are in town. This time around, Mike, the manager was absolutely amazing. The team was really knowledgeable and they really did take care of us. You guys also nail the different styles flawlessly. Thank you for all that you do and we will see you soon!”
“A very unique building inside and out including a number of antiques. Stools at a table are horse saddles. Bartender was great and friendly...Theresa. She shared her experiences with us of the resident ghost. We did not eat there but drinks were good.”
“I ordered a ribeye steak. First couple bites were good but after that it was mostly gristle. We told waitress but she didn't do anything about it. My husband had the prime rib which was really good. Very disappointed. We've been there before and it was always good.”
“Thank goodness this place was open ... when another restaurant decided to randomly "close the kitchen" at 8pm tonight (open til 9, though...), we made our way here. We are NOT bar people....although my husband and I have been alive a combined nearly 3/4 of a century, I can count on both hands the number of bars we've been to between us. This was a redeeming bar experience... good food, low prices, pleasant service. Even if you're an out-of-towner and having a "late" dinner (which I guess is relative), you can find respite, along with good wraps, pulled pork, wings and more here.”
“The food was absolutely wonderful except dessert. Fabulous tenderloin steak and chicken marsala. We would order these again and again. But, when your waiter says "the all too often overlooked dessert", there is likely a reason. We were served a very dry "Slice of Paradise Cake" which was Keylime Pie, Coconut Sponge Cake & Passion Fruit. Sounded wonderful until we were served a small slice so dry that the two of us couldn't finish it. Other than dessert, we were absolutely happy with our meals and would return.”
“Great people! Great customer service! Lots of surprises! We purchased the Salute! red dessert wine. Had it with steak, shrimp, and ceviche. It was perfect!”
“The coffee here was absolutely amazing. I haven't had a Carmel mocha latte that good in my life and I drink more coffee then most people. Very impressed check this place out!”
“Fantastic beers, great owner, cool space with games and fun seating. Music and chill vibe. Can’t wait to come back in the summer! Opened early for our group on a Friday and we all had so much fun.”
“Greeted right away, one guy running all tables but totally had it on rotation in a truly professional way. Food was phenomenal. We had crab Rangoon, and then rolls: Firecracker, Godzilla, Butterball and Crunchy Crab. Ah may zing. Finished up something like a crumble cake strawspberry and a lemon glaze. Great ambience for casual bites.”
“Wonderful spot for a fish boil and better than the more touristy options in the area. This small restaurant serves traditional fish boils and cajun fish boils on alternating days. We arrived without a reservation just after one of their boils, and the owner and hostess were gracious enough to make room for us. We thought we’d be served leftovers, but the owner went outside and freshly boiled an order for us! We missed the official show but instead got to watch from the warm interior. Reservations are expected, don’t assume you’ll get lucky like we did.The restaurant is really cute and clean. There is a lovely view over the harbor and the boiling kettle itself. As far as I’m aware, there is no menu and no options. If you’re there on a traditional or cajun night that is what you’re getting. They did have a nice variety of alcohol. The price was a bit high but fair for the experience and quality. The staff were only okay, but I thought their slight edge was fair given the end of an exhausting tourist season. The owner was very personable and took the time to help many patrons debone their fish. The traditional fish boil is served with the fish itself, potatoes, a sweet onion, corn, coleslaw, and bread. The bread was pretty good. The meal looked simple when served but ended up being delicious. The fish had a good flavor to it and came from nearby waters. The potatoes were livened up by the melted butter. The owner makes his own cajun seasoning and sauce. The liberal application of both made the meal even better. The corn and sweet onion were great. The owner described the onion as taking on a candy-like flavor and he wasn’t wrong. The coleslaw was great (my companion described it as the best she’d ever had). This meal is a lot of work to eat given the inevitable picking of bones. Therefore it’s probably not a great first date spot, but very cute for couples who know one another and can deal with some fish bones. They served cherry pie for dessert, which was the weakest part of the meal. Overall this was a lovely experience.”
“Really cute places with great coffee, assortment of cars games, dessert, food and drinks. Make sure to check out their daily specials. They do a great job of maintaining amazing ambience.”
“So glad this place was reinvented into one of our favorite stops in all of Door County. The building sat empty for many years before reopening about three years ago. It has it all - food, beer, wine, and a market. There is no where else you can grab a drink and shop. Their food is fast, affordable, convenient, and most of all delicious. Their nachos are loaded with a protein of your choice and fresh ingredients. These are some of the best nachos I've ever had. The pork is tender and smokey and the beer cheese sauce really take it to the next level. This time o tried their nacho special - Hawaiian (pictured) which came with pineapple and jalapeño salsa, pulled pork, sweet bbq sauce, and topped with cojita cheese. My husband loves their rib tips which come with a choice of sauce. They have most of their hot sauces available to try on your food before purchasing in their market. Other menu items include tacos, walking tacos, hot dogs, soup and salad. Bridge up brewing has something for everyone. A great selection of their own beers and guest beers. They even have NA, sour, cider, and seltzer options. If beer isn't for you they also have wine available. The market has it all - canned items, fresh baked goods, frozen door county specialties, etc. They also have a good selection of novelties such as games, jewelry, and gifts. There is some indoor seating, but the outdoor patio takes it all. Lots of tables with umbrellas, large fire pits, and yard games for the whole family. There are board games and cribbage board available inside as well. Make sure it add this place you your list, it has something for everyone!”
“My husband and I came to town on vacation and stopped here for a snack and it was perfect!! The tiramisu cake was SO GOOD. I am not able to handle caffeine, but wanted a hot drink since it was chilly outside and they worked with me and made me a DELICIOUS steamer. Already planning to go back tomorrow for another drink and treat. Service was great and food was even better!”
“Blue Horse Beach Cafe was such a fun stop! My husband and I loved the drinks we got, he got a double espresso and I got a large iced chai, my chai was pretty milky, but still delicious. We waited for 15 minutes before going up to ask where our drinks were. They had lost them in the business and kindly made them right away. It was no problem at all and they were super nice about it giving us a cookie for our troubles. Overall it was a great experience, the staff was very sweet!”
“As the menu states, the pizza takes 30 minutes but well worth it! The beer and wine selection seems carefully and intelligently curated, and the gentleman behind the bar manages the entire place with ease, even though he is the only one there. Will definitely return again soon!”
“I was looking to have a breakfast/ brunch catered to our hotel room for my bridal party the day of my wedding while we were getting our hair & makeup done. McEvoy's Culinaria was recommended by the hotel I were staying at. I initially reached out to Scott at McEvoy's & was put in touch with Janet. Janet did a great job in creating a menu based on what we wanted & our budget. She was also very conscientious of dietary preferences & provided us with several vegan options. Janet was so sweet & touched base with the event manager at our hotel to ensure everything went smoothly & was set up properly for our morning. The food was absolutely delicious & was the perfect start to my wedding day! Also – the macaroons were a big hit. So good! I would highly recommend McEvoy's Culinaria to anyone looking for a caterer for a special occasion – big or small!”
“Finally a legit wine bar in Door County! No cherry wine here! Great wine selection and service! It’s obviously doing very well given the constant stream of people coming in! Highly recommend their Petit Verdot! We will be back!”
“W.Jacksonport's best bar is back! With the best of the old (PBR sign, bathtub in the Ladies) spruced up by Gator for an authentic DC experience. Cold beer and pickled eggs, pool and darts. Be sure to visit during baseball season: town ball on the field of dreams out back is not to be missed. Go Ports!!”
“Im working not far from your amazing sub kitchen, and your Italian sub is the best of its kind that I've ever had! It starts with the amazing bread!!!! It's absolutely amazing all the way around, and I can't wait to eat ANY other sub that you guys make! DELICIOUS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!”
“We came a little too early in the season to see the goats which was our only negative- (we thought this might happen but still wanted to try the food). The food and service were awesome! I had a mimosa with the sweetish pancakes & my husband got their biscuits and gravy with sweetish meatballs. Everything was very good! After breakfast we walked around the boutique and they had a lot of cute options! I definitely recommend this place to any who want to try it!”
“Nice cozy breakfast place! The apple cinnamon scones were the best I have ever had. They weren't hard like a brick like most scones. They were crumbly and nice and creamy tasting. Waffles were delicious--bacon was perfect.”
“Honestly the only thing bad about this place was the attitude of the man hosting, seating and taking the phone calls.Otherwise it had a great atmosphere, the server was extremely knowledgeable and ran off all of their multiple specials and descriptions off the top of his head. We had the lobster tail and the special of sea bass and the food was absolutely divine. Definitely a must visit!”
“My wife and I love coffee and this place did not disappoint! We tried the Iced Mochas with a sausage and ham breakfast sandwich. Both of which were really good, the coffee was not burnt or bitter but just right and the sandwiches were hot, and we'll worth the money. The staff were super nice as well!”
“We had an outstanding vacation staying at this location in Sister Bay! In fact, we have returned for a second time. Their rooms are spacious, modern and clean. In addition they have a wonderful coffee shop that serves delicious breakfasts. Beautiful location close to the beach! We look forward to returning next year!”
“Really enjoyed stopping by yesterday! The barista was super friendly to chat with and had great drink recommendations, plus the cappuccino she made was phenomenal! Definitely will stop by again when I'm in town!”
“second time into door county with wife and this was the first time at this café for our espresso fix. wonderful & helpful staff. i tried their Sweet Sweet Summer - Hot and wife got Iced Strong Cappuccino, they were both perfect strong flavors made the way we wanted. 100% recommend this place! this place is also a delicatessen with Boar's Head”
“Stopped by at 10:00 a.m. for Bloody Marys with my sister-in-laws. We all loved the drinks. Service was fast and friendly and location is fun. The best spot in the house is near the street so you can pet all the dogs that walk by!”
