“I was craving pulled ham, and I saw they had it on their menu. I've always seen them suggested, so they've been on my list to try as well. The smashed potatoes are delicious, lots of butter. The fries were pretty basic with a heavier hand of salt but not overly salty. My ham sandwich was good, and I tried all the sauces & ended up mixing sauces just like my server told me was her go to. It's definitely a place I'd go back to to try the other things on the menu or if the craving for ham strikes again. Only mild complaint is that drinks had a heavy helping of ice & could have used a refill earlier because of it; but our server was running table to table non-stop, so not neglectful but simply busy.Oh for those with kids, the activity book kept them busy. 5 stars on that for sure. Would have liked a few more kids meal options, but luckily my kids said they weren't hungry & would have probably went with chicken strips had they been.“
“This place blew my mind. Its hard to even tell it's a restaurant when you first walk in. The food was incredible. The staff was very nice and friendly. The owner was a blast to meet. I gave him a high five for the amazing food. When I walked in I was overtaken by a wonderful smell of pork so I was on a mission to track that down and I did. Definitely recommend. This place was super small and seating was very limited. It's literally like 2 dining room tables outside of a kitchen window. Fantastic atmosphere. We shared a table with some people that came in after us. We had to park about a block away but it was totally worth the shot walk.“

Since this was my first time here they were super helpful and patient with me about ordering even was willing to let me sample some of the food. I was always asked if everything was ok by staff. “I was trying to think of a reason to give this place less than 5 stars on anything and I couldn't think of a single one. Food was absolutely amazing, every part of the meal including the fries. Service was great, everyone was working hard back in the open kitchen. Amosphere was awesome, I'm Canadian but I really enjoyed the national anthem at mid-day I think it's very true to the roots of what I believe this place wants to represent. Hard to believe it was a chain when they told me, I'll definitely be looking to hit another one next time I'm state side.“

“Judy was great to work with. The staff was great, very nice and attentive. The food was incredible and our wedding guests loved it and said it was the best wedding food they've ever had (I agree!). My only complaint is regarding the leftovers. We were not informed that we had to arrange ahead of time to keep leftover food. The food was taken away without anyone asking if we wanted to keep it (we didn't notice it being taken away as my bride and I were very busy)..I was extremely disappointed because I know we had enough leftovers to enjoy for the week since a number of people didn't show up. I'll just have to stop into the restaurant to get my fix! I would give 4/5 stars. thanks for providing great food and amazing staff!“
“Stopped by for a late lunch. Tables were clean and we ordered quickly. Two meat meal with brisket and pork was fantastic. Tried both sauces delicious. Fries were hot crispy and beautifully seasoned. Beans were especially great. Staff was welcoming. Definitely worth a stop! Keep up the good work!“
“Where do I even begin?!? My partner and I made the drive from Madison first thing in the morning on a Saturday - he didn't know where we were going, but I had called ahead the day before to place an order. We arrived right when Lucky Bakery & BBQ opened, and there were others waiting outside and in the lobby (a great sign!). My partner was thrilled that the surprise was Chinese BBQ, and we picked up the order of roast ruck and pork with crispy skin. While we were there, we chose some bakery items as well (an egg tart and a red bean cake). Then, we started to drive home, snagging a piece of pork to nibble on the drive back to Madison. HOLY COW. I pulled the car over SO FAST - this pork deserves all of your attention! You cannot do it justice while driving, you need to sit and savor it! We literally bought a drink at a Panera so we could sit outside and eat this pork. I will dream about this pork every night until we can make another trip to West Allis. My life as been changed by this pork. The duck and the bakery items were also flawlessly outstanding, but I truly cannot get over the pork. We ate the entire pound of it that Saturday, and will be telling everyone we meet!“
“OH MY GOODNESS! I've been meaning to try Wilma's forever, but their truck isn't always nearby. Finally tried them last week when they were parked at Hoyt Park. What a freaking pleasant surprise! We tried the pulled jerk chicken, the brisket and rib tips. The tips were huge and meaty, the brisket lean and tender and the chicken was a revelation! Chicken can tend to become dry, but not at Wilma's! All the meats were smokey, in a perfect way. The greens they serve as a side are fantastic too. I believe the other fabulous BBQ truck, POP'S, has some competition now. Never thought it possible. What a shame that both have such short seasons. I will find that Wilma's BBQ truck real soon, before they take their cold weather break! PLEASE, find a way to check them out!“
“We stopped in for a weeknight birthday dinner and were quite impressed. The jambalaya is absolutely AMAZING!! Best I've ever had. Our server Dan was friendly and attentive without being bothersome. “I purchased a Muskego Warriors Football discount card last Fall and Pop’s Pub is one of the restaurants listed so we thought we’d stop in and give them a try for lunch.Best decision ever!!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!We were unaware that they do smoked meats- but as soon as you park your vehicle you can smell it- wonderful discovery!Don’t let the slightly run down front exterior detour you!! Inside is friendly and inviting and the staff is super welcoming. Out back is an entire outside area that we can’t wait to utilize in Spring ASAP.We got the 3:3 smoked meats. Brisket, pulled pork, bourbon chicken, baked beans, Mac and cheese, potato’s. All absolutely delicious!! Smoke was just right and the Texas BBQ sauce which is slightly sweet and the KC sauce which has a very slight kick were both super fantastic! Pickles were sweet dill an excellent complement to the smoked meats. Cannot wait to return!!!If you haven’t been- go now!!!“
“I like this little place! We stopped in prior to a show at The Rave. It was surprisingly good! I got the smoked brisket and it was SO good! I really wasn't expecting such great BBQ from a little place in Milwaukee, but that was a truly pleasant surprise! My husband got the meatloaf and it was good too. Enjoyed the cheese curds and the onion rings as well. Next time we are in the area, good chance we stop in to this little place. Bartender was really friendly, crackin' jokes and having a good time behind the bar.“
