“My wife and I are senior citizens (with a capital S), but we like to dance, and listen to music that pre-dates "jump-jump" music, if you know what I mean. We have been to Lucy's on several occasions. We usually eat first, then wait for the music. Recently, we saw 2 different groups. Tony Rocker was the first, and was great! the last time we were there, we heard a band called the Fort Nigng Band. While they were warming up it appeared they may be talented musicians. However, as they started to play their first set, the volume went up to the point of painful to our ears. I went over to the man on the sound board, and asked if he had a decibel meter, as sound over 90 decibels over a period is said to cause damage to hearing. He pulled out his cell, and the meter reading was 100-115 decibels! When I asked him to cut it back 10-20, he referred me to another man who was videoing on his phone, When I asked him to lower the sound level, another person, who I thought might be management, was also shouting that others were complaining over the volume as well. We tried to dance the second # after my request, and my wife noticed the hard beats were causing me to wince, We decided to leave, and as we passed the man said to be in control, he suggested we might be happier standing at the far end of the room away from the pand. talking to friends several days later, that had seats in the bar room several feet further from the dance floor, said they found the sound levels uncomfortable as well. The food was good, and the service as good as could be expected, as the room was understaffed. The waiter for our table also seemed to be working both ends of the bar, and serving tables as well, but was polite and attentive.“
“Just spent the last few hours at this bar and my heart just feels so full. Spent time sitting with the owners and bar tenders just chatting and sharing laughs and stories. Heard so much love and support of each other being shared no matter what our background was and who we love or be. That as long as we are kind that’s all that matters. Knowing that there is a community of people that will always be such a huge voice of support for our community especially right now. There is an attacking being on the queer community starting with drag and the fact every month drag bingo sells out and has repeated customers and inside jokes between groups. It’s just really an uplifting thing and wish everyone had access to a bar like this.“

“I lived in Janesville for 15 years and never ate at TASBAAG. Last night I was in Janesville to go to my kid’s choir concert. I was going to go to Culver’s but the line was out to the street so I went to TASBAAG. I ordered a Mo Burger with tater tots. The burger was delicious. I ordered it medium and it came out medium. The tots were crispy and hot. I can’t believe I missed this place all the years I lived there. Many in Madison swear by Player’s for a bar burger. TASBAAG is just as good!“
“One of only 2 bars in Janesville with a second floor. It does make for a nice view. I was only here to get a drunk and saw they've got a nice Sunday special. They were quite busy and it seemed like their food was good. I'll have to go back again and try some.“

“The service at Stokes is splendid! Mary and Amy are Sunday staples that sling lovely libations. I've never had a miserable meal or dainty drink. Amy's artistic ambitions are actually awesome and amazing. I've never seen a more realistic basketball on a drink board in my entire 28 years on this planet. “We have eaten here many times. The fish is always very good. I also like the fish sandwich and the tator sticks are my favorite. It's neat to be able to see them cooking your food too. I would definitely recommend for their fish fry but you will want to get there early...the restaurant fills up fast! All the employees are very nice as well! We moved out of Janesville so we don't get here as often as we used to, but we still make a point to get over there for drinks and food periodically!“
“Nice track! Definitely not walkable. The #3,5,9,10,11,12-16,,,18 are nice holes. Definitely need to become familiar with the course to score well. Not many holes with the flag visible to strategize from the tee box. The hard pan around greens was, you know difficult. I will play again though.“
“This bar has two floors and a patio. The first floor is the main bar, complete with backrest barstools and table seating. The first floor is also where you'll find the billiards table and one dart board. Restrooms are also located on the first floor. The second floor has a mini bar for large events or busy summer nights. Upstairs also has access to the rooftop patio along with three additional dart boards.“

“I've only been twice but so far so good. You can play your own music. Pretty big establishment where you can dance or sit at the bar or table. They have slot machines. There is a smoking area with sitting. A mixture of people go here. Bartenders are friendly and personable.“
“Visited twice for lunch in Feb 2024. The first time I had chicken tenders with tator-tots and cheese curds. Excellent tenders made with batter and not your typical crumb breading. Cheese curds were really good, as would be expected in Wisconsin. The second time I tried their Cuban sandwich, but I would not recommend it. It was disappointing - served on ciabatta bread with what seemed black forest ham and pulled pork. It was not pressed like a cubano should.The atmosphere was your typical sports bar. At lunch time it was rather quiet.“
