“We have been meaning to dine at La Merenda and by the time we've gotten around to it, we've realized we should have come much sooner!! It's tucked away on a side street off S 1st and has a very homey, yet eclectic feel when you walk in! Our server was so nice and was happy to answer any/all questions. The food was simply to die for. We started with some drinks and the beet salad, which had warm goat cheese on top - this really tied it all together. Then we ordered the lamb bolognese (our favorite by far), kung pao chicken (very spicy but so flavorful), and the Argentinian beef (a great cut of meat). We decided to get dessert because why not. The waiter highly recommended the Irish car bomb cake and it did not disappoint!! We will definitely be returning here regularly!“
“We were lucky enough to get in this restaurant tonight. This food was sooooo good! Serbian stuffed peppers, probably the best I've ever had! We also had Sarma, Raznjici and Chevapchichi. If you go to Milwaukee, eat here!!!! (but definitely make a reservation!) This was seriously one of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile. And our server (Tanya) was so helpful and friendly, we will definitely be back next time we are in town.“
“Having been on quite a few brewery tours over the years, I was expecting “status quo” on this one, but NOPE! This was hands down the BEST brewery tour I’ve been on thus far! Our tour guide Justin is a national treasure & deserves a HUGE raise! We laughed so hard on this tour, learned a lot, sampled some fantastic beer & left with great gifts & a plethora of fun stories to share with our friends! If you’re in WI & a brewery tour is on your list of things to do then run don’t walk to sign up for a Lakefront Brewery tour! Buy your tickets online in advance & then enjoy! You can thank me later! ??“
“I always point people to this spot when they ask where my favorite pizza is. I love the unique combinations that they come up with. We got two pizzas and some spinach artichoke dip. Our server had a lot of energy and was very attentive. We made a reservation on a Thursday and I'm glad we did because the place was poppin. There was live music, too.“
“We came at 3 pm and there were no available tables till 1 hour, so we ordered and got up to the 2nd floor to find a table while waiting (they gave us a pager to tell us when the food was ready ..We ordered:Soups:Lobster bisque bowl 10\10 enough for oneSalads:Cesar salad 10\10 enough for 4 peopleStarters:Calamari fried 7\10 nothing special, enough for oneShark bites(sword fish): 10\10 one skew which not enough even for one, but it was delicious.Sandwiches:Steak tuna 10\10 enough for 1Lobster rolls 8\10, although it is their signature sandwich, but it was an ok sandwich fo me.Fried main:Fried Grouper 9\10Fried walleye 10\10Both fried dishes were great but I like the walleye more, despite the fact that my favorite fish is the grouper.Based on the information above, I really recommend coming to this restaurant. Awesome flavors with not overrated prices.“
“O.M.G. You're not going to find better food in Milwaukee. Fight me. EVERYTHING on their menu is either amazing or fan-f#%*ing-tastic. If I were a richer woman, I would walk in and get one of everything on the menu. The first time I tried it, I was so impressed, that the next night when I had reservations to another "foodie" Restaurant, I left after appetizers and came back to Odd Duck. This place makes me want to bring them little duckies. And I don't say that lightly. I want to hold them and love them and make them mine. The restaurant, that is. Not the ducks. Those I could leave or take. BUT I love the place so Much, that I accept and respect their love for the ducks and will take them just as they are. Am I proposing to a restaurant? Mayhaps. Try it and tell me you're not in love.“
“omg ordered 2 dozen boozy cupcakes for a surprise 60th party..they were delivered to the bar exactly when needed and in perfect condition...EVERYBODY raved about them! absolutely beautiful and what I liked best...not gaggy sweet...just boozey buttery deliciousness! wish I could have tasted them all! highly recommend this bakery! thank you thank you thank you!“
“Tasty healthier bakery with a great selection! LOVE their cashew butter cookies, they are so tasty and have an almost cookie dough texture. The people here are SO NICE, seriously might be the nicest in the game. You can tell their passionate about this business and these bake goods. Walking in feels like a breath of fresh air, with a sunny happy vibe!“
“Do you want a solid spot for Mexican food at great prices made by the same couple for years? This is the spot.Lunch enchiladas for 8.25 with rice and beans? Yes please. Steak burrito for 11 dollars loaded up? Everytime. It’s worth a weekly visit. Highly recommended. No reason to eat at a chain place like chipotle when Mara’s grill exists.“
“The perfect vegan brewery! Come here for every event and you won't be disappointed! Service is always great, and the arcade surroundings will wrap you in a warm blanket of nostalgia. It's your friend's basement where you played video games as a kid, and your friend's mom has made pizza!“
“This is one of those places where I can try something new every time, and it's always incredibly flavorful. I tried my friend's dish, Nam Kow with ham, and it was the best tasting dish I've ever had! Everything is so tasty, and the staff is quite friendly.Vegetarian options: Any dishes can be made without fish sauce or components, and made with tofu as the main protein. (So yummy!)“
“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. Thank you!!“
“We ate here on 3/9. The food, cocktails and the service were amazing. Knocking a star off for the hostess who told us we needed to be out of there by a certain time. The kitchen got backed up so courses were coming out a little slow. This normally doesn’t bother me but since the hostess told us when we had to be gone, it ruined my ability to enjoy the entree and dessert as I was worried about getting out of there on time. It shouldn’t be something the hostess puts onto the patrons. It was our first time there and I am not sure about returning.“
“First time visiting this establishment! Ambiance was an amazing neighborhood Italian restaurant with delicious authentic Italian dishes! We enjoyed the margherita pizza, Caesar salad, fettuccini marinara and Bomba dessert! All were so tasty and satisfying!!! Five stars!!!!“
“My first visit to Temple Goddess was on St Paddy''s day. I enjoyed the vegan Ruben very much. My son tried the Disco fries their version of poutine, yummy. I took home some extras for my hubby including the pastiche. What a wonderful place and friendly people I will return time and time again!“
“Amazing food! My husband and I had our catering through them for our wedding. It was fabulous! Everyone loved the food, the portions were enormous and Michael was a delight to work with. The set up was beautiful and fast. Thank you for everything!“
“super yummy! the serving sizes were great for getting your morning kicked off. loved the way this place is inclusive of all dietary needs! our server was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu, and gave us great insight on the dishes as we were choosing. ambiance was really vintage and cool, giving us a good look at historical train station culture as well as industrial milwaukee aesthetics. well done, will come back to enjoy again :)“
“Well this was a delightful surprise! I attended a themed pop up here and it is absolutely charming. There is an incredible selection of beer and liquor. They even have quite a few mixed drinks available. All of the staff was absolutely wonderful even the guy checking IDs at the door had a smile on his face. It is cozy, comfy, and bright inside. I don't know why there's this trend of painting the interior of bars "stage black" but I'm glad sugar maple has bucked that trend. If I find myself near Milwaukee fancying myself a drink I will definitely make a return visit!“
“Very good pizza! The slices are MASSIVE so even with just one slice, you're set for lunch. I like that they do custom single slices too.The customer service is also lovely and I enjoy the vibes. It feels small and intimate without being super cramped.Parking: Small/moderate sized parking lot across the street“
“A cute corner shop providing top tier service, delectable nibbles and quality sips! So far, everything I've had has been great. My personal favorite/go-to is the lox bagel with a side salad. It's a delicious combination that hits the spot every time. I enjoy their indoor environment when it's not too crowded otherwise it can get a bit noisy. Their outdoor seating in the warmer months makes for a great setting to enjoy a nice meal, a cup of coffee, and the warm weather. Staff is friendly and attentive, to-go orders are always ready on time, and the place is always clean.“
“C.Adam's Bakery is one of my favorite places to grab a tiramisu cup. ? I need to find time to try all their other sweets but first tiramisu since it's my favorite dessert. Highly recommend. Plus, they're located inside the Milwaukee Public Market and that's always fun!“
“Found on recommendation from my sister easy parking atmosphere was good tables were a little close, but I’m OK with that. Service was excellent nice young lady. Food was most excellent. Would recommend this place and would like to go back for the jazz bar next-door met the owner on the way out told him about our experience. He was much appreciative great place.“
“Absolutely delicious wheat-free arepas - vegan, vegetarian, or meat, with a variety of sauces. For sides you can get beans or platanos. Inside the popular Third Street Market Hall with skyway to parking ramp.Vegetarian options: Beans, avocado, platanos (plantains).Dietary restrictions: Arepas are corn-based and wheat-free.“
“Love this little spot! We stumbled upon it while on a walk and thoroughly enjoyed it. While we were waiting in line, a woman told us "we just discovered this place yesterday and we're already back. Everything is good!" She was right! We got smoothies, coffee and a sandwich and it was all phemomenal. Everyone was so friendly and the service was quick. It's cute with natural light inside, and a walk up window outside for the warm months! Definitely will be back.“
“Came with a friend after some shopping. This is her favorite place and I can definitely see why. Great "Mexican Style" tacos and margs. Can't wait to come back!!! Our service was good and the food came out so fast. Definitely recommend.“
“I had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional hospitality of Jack and the management team at the Pfister Hotel recently, and I cannot praise them enough. Despite being fully booked on a bustling night, they went above and beyond to accommodate us and rectify a mistake I made. Their dedication to providing impeccable service truly sets them apart. Jack and his team exemplify what it means to exceed expectations. Instead of turning us away or making excuses, they embraced the challenge and ensured that our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Their willingness to go the extra mile, even when faced with a busy schedule, speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. The Pfister Hotel holds a special place in our hearts as it has been a part of our family tradition for years. From the moment we got engaged there five years ago, it has consistently provided us with unforgettable experiences. Thanks to Jack and the entire team, our recent visit only reaffirmed our love for this iconic establishment. I cannot express enough gratitude to the Pfister for their unwavering dedication to making every guest feel valued and cherished. They truly exemplify the essence of hospitality, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of creating cherished memories at this remarkable hotel.“
“Love this place!! As the daughter of a baker I will always support local bakeries and luckily this one is so close to my house and so good!! If you want a donut or pastry make sure to get up early, because they don't last long! I love the cinnamon rolls (have just the slightest lemon flavor in the glaze which makes them so perfect!!) for breakfast with a cup of their coffee, the Italian cookies for an afternoon pick me up, and the hot ham and rolls on a Sunday! Everyone who works there is always so nice and I've never ordered something that I didn't love!!“
“Always on the lookout for a great burger and curds. The spicy cheese curds were easily the best I have had in years. Super gooey and the spices give them a great kick. As for the burger, I went with the one with jalepeno aioli. What a perfect choice! I used absolutely no ketchup yet the burger had a great mixture of flavors and texture. I'm going back next time I'm in Milwaukee.“
“Nice little bar in a prime location. Haven't really drank there much, but I am a very big fan of the food. The sandwiches, soup, wings, and especially the fish fry are all great, and very reasonably priced.Only complaint is that it is a very small place, and seating can be hard to get at peak hours.Parking: Busy area, street parking near the bar is difficult during peak times. There is parking in the area, but you will have to walkWheelchair accessibility: Would be difficult, small place, with a step up to come in“
“The best and most authentic Tabouleh in not just the state, but possibly in the Midwest. You will typically see cheap or poorly made Tabbouleh made with at least 80% Bulger wheat to save money... not this fresh, deep green masterpiece with the perfect amount of little white flecks of chewy wheat they create here. Add to that that there's a falafel pita that comes with both taboulah and baba ganouj by default. Both of those are usually "extra" if even offered at all at other places, both are so critical to making a great sandwich. That makes the pitas they have here a steal, and being located in pubmar just makes it all the better.“
“The food at Anytime Arepa is spectacular! I cannot say enough about how good their food is, especially their Arepas. Empanadas are also very nicely done. And, being all gluten free is a huge plus! First of all, all masa based Arepa and empanada dough is just much more flavorful than flour based.“
“My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. The "salad" bar had so many delicious choices. Our favorite was the cheese bread. It must have been a hit because it was picked clean twice while we were there. All of the meat sliced at the table was tender and delicious. Wear stretchy pants because you'll leave full!Parking: You can park in the BMO parking garage and the restaurant will validate your ticket so it will be free. Very nice?“
