“Outstanding fish fry! I had the perch, 2 large filets, 2 potato pancakes, homemade slaw (nice and crunchy), and homemade tartar sauce. Breading was just right. My friend had the cod and was equally pleased. Ate at the bar with several other diners. Bartenders are friendly and mix a proper old fashioned (tall boy) from scratch, no pre-mix! For sure we'll be back!“

“Amazing food! We haven’t been there since before the pandemic and we live in ET and we finally got there on Black Friday and it was fantastic. We started with the Pepperjack wontons and they are BIG and SO GOOD. I had the Tex-Mex burger with the side of tots, it was 13.99 and they definitely are generous with the portions. Delicious hamburger done exactly right and the tots were hot and crispy and about 50 of them. My husband had The Works Pizza and again the price was right and the pizza was great. With a couple drinks thrown in we had the perfect meal and spent under $60. We will definitely be going back. Also the service was A+ Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.“

“Very cute restaurant. Has a consignment store in it along with ice cream, Amish candy and old time candy. The waitress, Cass was super friendly. I had sausage, cheese, tortellini soup. Cass made it homemade and it had an awesome taste to it. Would have liked bigger pieces of sausage but the taste made up for it. The squealing checking sandwich was delicious. It was a grilled chicken breast with mozzarella cheese and crisp bacon. Tons of ice cream flavors to choose from also.“
“This is such a hidden gem! I’ve driven past many times and always wanted to stop - we finally did this evening and everything was so delicious! There’s a great variety of items on the menu without being overwhelming. We ordered the any day fish fry and it came with not 3, not 4, but 5 generous pieces! Potato salad and coleslaw were also good (and that’s saying a lot - I don’t enjoy coleslaw!) as well as the chicken portebella sandwich special (so good!). The pumpkin cheesecake was also delicious. “We dined at Chances on a Saturday night in March 2024. . Lots of local townspeople having a good time in bar area. I am all for that type of atmosphere. However, if your face is not familiar, the bartenders tend to ignore you. There were two mature guys on duty behind the bar and if you did not specifically call out or gesture for a cocktail, they simply stood there. Grumpy as all get out. Two delightful elderly females (not familiar faces) tried to get a bartender's attention to ask about the gambling games in the room, but were very disrespectfully ignored. We'll write this off as both fellas having a bad night. Dining room was about half full. Got seated at a very small table for two against the wall...maybe a former window table, but no window anymore. Very cramped with all the extra stuff already on the table. Didn't want to be a pain in the ***, so we didn't request a nicer table. Good news...ribs and shrimp combo and prime rib special were delicious. Spinach salad and onion strings also very tasty. Extremely busy waitress took care of us skillfully, attentively, and with the most pleasant demeanor. So our occasional date night had a happy ending following a not so great start.“
“For a George Webb's, this is one of the best locations I've been to. It was super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I went around 1 in the afternoon and it was really busy! I love sitting at the rail and getting that classic diner feel. I got the super George combo w/hashbrowns like I always do and it was a perfect lunch. Saw lots of people eating regular dinners, and they seem to be enjoying it. Looking forward to trying out their prime rib one Saturday. Nice place, friendly people. “The food arrived not as warm as I would have liked, BUT, there was only one server. My party arrived shortly after the restaurant opened and quickly became very busy. The server did a great jun but was overwhelmed until help arrived! The food however was very good albeit the temperature was not. The hostess was most gracious in apologizing and I will return in the future.“

Our thin crust Wisconsin style pepperoni pizza was delish as well. Mr. Spanky's, the owner, approached to us to say hi and to check if everything was ok. He told us that they will be opening their new location in May. It will serve them well because it's a popular local place. I hope they keep Corn-Beef Hash in their menu. The bar area was busy. “We ordered the battered cod and half the fish was pollack and the other was cod. The pollack was so fishy tasting the dog wouldn't even eat it. It went down the garbage disposal. Fries were overcooked, almost burnt. Salad was all leaves, no tomato except for 2 tiny pieces.The bun was the best of the whole meal.Tally's has always been our go to for fish fries. “Played Saturday mid day. We got there super early due to another course cancelling our tee time on us. Spent 3 hrs in the bar with the owner and bartender. Had a great time. Breakfast was great and the bloody Mary’s was really good. The course was in good shape. Nothing too out of place, but I will say this course is in desperate need of a lot of tree removal/trimming. There are a few landing areas in the fwy where the tree canopy is more narrow than the fwy itself. Hitting a good tee shot on the edge of the fwy is penalized. I understand dog legs and being sure to play the correct side of the fwy but this was on straightforward holes. Nonetheless, the course looked good and it was super fun. I have a few comp passes I plan to use in the near future. Good job Rivermoor.“

“Shanahan's is the place to go. Way better than Brew52 - a chill spot to read, do work, or be with friends. Seasonal drinks are always the bomb (but their regular menu is a great go-to). Love love their thai chicken salad (so gooddd) and all of their coffee. I always get one coffee drink and then one light seltzer drink and I feel light and happy the rest of the day. Absolutely go here!“
