“We had a wonderful experience at The Harvey House. The service was very friendly and personalized. The food was next level! We even had a surprise dessert come out at the end of the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary! I'd just been reading Unreasonable Hospitality and this place exemplifies that sort of fine dining experience.“
“I personally had a wonderful experience planning working with Momo's when we had our Lunar New Year on 02/13/24. They exceed expectations from the food that they provided, space, and decorations. I would love to plan another event there in the future. If you're looking for a venue to have your next event, with a centralized location, give them a call.“
“Always enjoy the food, fish, and steak. Breakfast choices are good. Ate at the bar. Our bartender lacked service skills. We felt ignored. Like the supper club feel. Love the lake views.Parking: May need to park on the street. Restaurant has limited parking due to lake.“
“Went for lunch with a friend. It was Badger home game Saturday so it was busy. We only waited a few minutes for a table. Ordered cheese burger & beer. Burger was cooked perfectly. It was on a soft bun and was juicy and seasoned well. Atmosphere was friendly and place was very clean. Will definitely return.Parking: There is street parking and area is safe.“
“I am an international student and live around the area. The Main Depot is a heritage bar. Its more than a bar, its a community of people of all ages. Undoubtedly the kindest people I have met at any spot in my 2 years in America.P.S**** = If you are lucky you can see trains passing from the bench on the backside. Enjoy ;)“
“Me and my partner found Cordial after being referred here by some of our coworkers, and our experience was so amazing on our first visit that we came back here for the next four nights. The staff here is so welcoming, we feel like we are home no matter who is bartending. We have gotten to know all of them very well, and they treat us like family every time we come in. And the fact that they are very LGBT+ friendly is only an added bonus. If you're looking for a chill, low-key bar with the most welcoming staff you will ever meet then this is your place!“
“Garth's is special not only due to their wide selection of rotating taps and large selection of craft beers/seltzers/ciders that you can purchase, but they also allow you to bring in food to eat which offers a ton of flexibility for anyone looking for a relaxed environment to have a drink. There's also a self-serve water/utensil station that allows people to enjoy their meals and stay hydrated effortlessly.I really enjoy coming here with my family to play some board games or just watch the hustle & bustle of Monroe street over a cold beverage. Staff have always been courteous and attentive during my visits, and the place is always very clean which goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere.“
“Absolutely love this restaurant. Been 4 times, and tried something new each time (except street corn, we always get the street corn). It’s not your common Mexican, much more authentic. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, the service and friendliness of the staff is also outstanding. Already one of my go-to places!Kid-friendliness: They understand the value of friendly service, and they try hard to do it well. Bravo.“
“I was visiting the Madison, WI area on business and wanted to visit a place to listen to some live Jazz. I located this bar on google. This is a small neighbor bar. I got there about 45 minutes before the band was scheduled to play. I was able to order some wings and onion rings for the pizza place two doors down and they delivered my food to me at the bar. By 8:00pm the band was setting up and the place was getting full. The bar tenders were getting really busy. The band played well. The service was great. The bar allowed me to run a tab with no cc on file. The locals kinda keep to themselves and I was ok with that. One couple ask if they could sit with me considering I had a table with four chairs setting along. They were friendly people. There were very few African American there i'm being one of them. Despite that I felt welcome and was treated well by the bar tenders. I would recommend visiting this place if you are in the area and looking for some live music to hear. :)“
“Dot’s Tavern is a quintessential rural Wisconsin dive bar experience. Walking down to the basement bar feels like walking down the steep steps to your friend’s parent’s home bar. The service is as you’d expect, straight to the point, but happy to engage in conversation, especially when there’s a game on. Don’t forget the shake of the day!“
“I was surprised by this place. Based on name I imagined it was a Tejano bar with dancing but it is just a super chill neighborhood bar. Tigers are everywhere ? (prolly why the name). There were a few small tables with a jukebox playing old school music. We sat at the bar and bar tender came pretty quick and checked on us a few times. Old Fashioneds were pretty good and came quick. Overall we really liked this place and will come back. If you are looking for something rowdy - downtown Madison is better, but if looking for a super chill neighborhood bar this is a good choice.“
“A neighborhood bar with good bar food and warm atmosphere. My chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked as was my wife's burger. Fries are either seasoned or not. I got seasoned and they were just right. Parking out back or on the street. My only complaint was the menu was on the wall behind the bar and hard to read.“
“Came in and they were closing pretty early on a Wednesday (before 10). Classic bar, great place to take folks from out of town, lots of story's and local color. The documentary is coming soon. For those nearby, best show up after an honest days work.“
“Food was good. Burger was quality and not skimpy! Nice dive bar vibes. I like the tall ceilings and exposed brick. There is a counter where you order your food so heads-up about that. They have pull tabs which is always good entertainment but I hear they have even better entertainment on Saturday & Sunday mornings lol! Not my cup of tea but if you're into a unique experience, then check out breakfast here on the weekend for smut n' eggs.“
“Really good atmosphere, super kind staff. The jam pretzel burger special was fire. Square cheese curds, strange shape, very tasty. I would definitely come back to this spot. They served an adequately liquored up drink and did it with a smile. I may have found my new "local" as they say out in the Midwest. ALL good here.“
“Normally I will only eat at the hotel restaurant if I need something quick. I ate here a few nights during my stay. Will who worked the bar was amazing. He was tentative, joyful and talked to everyone. He created a great atmosphere. I ordered a burger my first day. It was juicy and flavorful and the fried were perfection. Today I ordered a chicken quesadilla and I didnt expect much but OMG it was so flavorful, a kick of spice and so cheesy. I will likely order another one before my trip is up. If you are staying at the Sheraton in Madison I recommend checking out the Hub and hanging out at the bar for a while. It's just a nice vibe and food is really good. Complements to the chef.“
“If possible I would give 1,000 stars. DJ is my spirit animal, and new bestie. His mom and grandma must be awesome and everything about the folks who frequent this place is comforting. My people and I can't wait to visit next year as this years pop in has created memories I want to repeat!!! Drink here!!!“
“A small town bar and grill that feels like home to me. I had not been there for a few years and unfortunately the owner had past away since. His family is giving it a go. Burger was as good as I remembered. Apparently the same recipe that has been used for 40 years.“
