“Barley's is my favorite bar! It's basically the "Cheers" of Oshkosh for my group of friends - "where everyone knows your name". Nate, the owner, is one of the most personable guys you will ever meet and he always makes a point to say hello! Thursday nights are the best nights to go, especially when it's meat bingo night! They also do a lot of fundraising for the local humane society, which I really appreciate. Nate and his establishment are a great asset to downtown Oshkosh! I definitely recommend this bar!“
“Used to be a great grab and go now it’s hit or miss we call our orders in and they are usually timely. They can make a well done burger to save their lives this year I’ve been to them and have yet to get my order right at least my husband don’t mine the medium well. I normally dont even complain but when your told specifically NO PINK then it should be just that cut it open to make sure it’s done correctly“
“We ordered take out on Friday 12/8/23. Our first time eating from there. Called our order in Perch & fries , Combo Platter w shrimp and a combo basket. Pickup time was 45 mins. Totally understandable for 5:30 on a Friday night. Food was ready on time , hot and cooked perfectly. Prices are excellent . Definitely recommend.“

“The perch was very tasty, we didn't care for the coleslaw tho. The air conditioner could use a bit of a swipe of the cleaning cloth. It blew in my face with dust in my eyes. Great place to eat and for drinks. Casual and friendly atmosphere.“

“First timers! Glad we tried something different and new by stopping in here for lunch this afternoon! The drinks were great! I loved my blueberry vodka lemonade. Gave me summer vibes on a brisk day! The chicken gyro was TO DIE FOR. My husband liked his pulled pork sliders. Tater tots were addictive. The vibe inside was cool. Family friendly. We brought our daughter here with us and were other kids inside eating with their families so we didn’t feel out of sorts! Highly recommend!“

“Immediately fell in love with this bar! Great atmosphere and above all clean. The smell of fresh laundry as I walked into the door not a single bar I've been to in Oshkosh had that! We ordered combo baskets with fries they were soooo good it was hot fresh and had a ton of choices for dipping sauces. Plus it wasn't too costly for the amount of food we got. The food reminded me of home on the east Coast which is extremely hard to find in the Midwest. The staff was attentive and kind even with a Packers game going in full swing! They have darts and pool table as well. Would definitely give this bar a 10 out of 10! We'll be coming back!!“
“Had lunch at the Varsity Club today. We were pleasantly surprised overall. Easy to find downtown location, I believe it is the old Gibson motors building. The food and service were top notch. The Philly steak sandwich was really good and my wife enjoyed her shrimp basket. Plenty of room with a comfortable atmosphere.“
“Ordered take out. Daughter’s sandwich was great, but my chicken Caesar salad had significant amount of brown lettuce mixed in. I had quite a pile when I finished picking it out. Disappointed because otherwise salad was very good with generous amount of chicken. Had I been in restaurant, I would have sent it back.“
