“We spend our summers in the St. Germain area and have tried many restaurants and pubs in the surrounding towns. We have not found an eatery in the area that has better food than Marli's bar. And I mean consistently good food. We have been going there for about 8 yrs. and yet to be disappointed with our meals. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The owners, Mark & Lisa, and all the employees are absolutely fantastic, very friendly and efficient. Can't say enough about them. I highly recommend trying Marli's Bar.“

“Went with a small group of people for dinner. We were seated immediately and our waitress arrived shortly afterwards to take our drink orders. The menu has a variety of food that would please all eating types. Specifically I was there for the pizza. The pizza exceeded my expectations and is now my new favorite place for pizza in the Northwoods! Everyone raved over their food and it was an enjoyable experience overall with fantastic service and “classic up north” atmosphere!“

“First time going to Sayner Pub so we have nothing to compare it to with the former owners' food. The pizza was outstanding. It is thin crust and cut into squares which just so happens to be my preference. If you like thicker or doughy crust, this isn't for you. Topping were generous and the whole thing cooked perfectly. The blue cheese salad had an unusual mix of toppings, including cranberries and a snack mix, but it totally worked and was delicious. The others in our party really enjoyed the steak sandwich and taco special. Although I did not try their food, I'm knocking a star for using store bought premade taco shells. That's just blasphemous! Service was efficient and pleasant without hovering.“

“Typical up north bar and restaurant BUT with vegan options!!! They have a veggie black bean burger and vegan chicken strips. When I asked for a dairy free dressing option it was clear the server actually read all the ingredient options instead of just picking one. Massively appreciate them catering to dietary restrictions- not common to find vegan options up here!“

“It is completely heartbreaking that this place is closing. It has a rich 40-year history, and people come from all over the country to eat here. We went a week before they are scheduled to close for good. Everything was completely flawless from presentation to taste to variety.“

“One of the best get together places in the North woods, been coming here for almost 10 yrs. Always have a debate between the blue gill or the walleye platter. Had to choose the blue gill, they are so delicious like candy. Please if you're ever in the North woods and it happens to be Friday I recommend this place. PS, don't get me started on the drinks!“

“Ate here for the first time tonight, ordered the lasagna which was the Thursday special. OMG it was delicious! The veggies that came with it were a little too oily for my taste but I finished them anyways. The lasagna piece was HUGE, and it came with two bread sticks that were equally tasty.I'll be back again next time we are in town!“

“I D O N O T recommend them. we brought 15 adult motorcyclists in to eat and drink. tried to put two tables together and the bartender yelled, "WE don't push tables together here. so we left with out nearly $1,000 worth of business.“

The food was good the atmosphere is great, they just need to get more help.Kid-friendliness: They have a great game room to entertain the kid and adults for that matter.
