“The burgers are fantastic! Really juicy and flavorful and a substantial patty size. I have to eat GF, so I had limited choice; I ordered the Kitty’s Deluxe. The server was very attentive and professional. It is disappointing that the pub charges $3 for a GF bun. I can see covering cost, but $3 seems high. I found the dining room to be overly bright. Is there really a need for 8 chandeliers in a relatively small space? Also, an employee kept coming into the room and speaking very loudly. My husband and I could hardly hear ourselves speak.”

“The coolest cafe I’ve ever been to. So unique and artsy, while also actually having delicious food and coffee. I could drink the iced cinnamon roll latte every day. My husband finished his hot pistachio latte in just a couple minutes. Seriously so good!! We also each got a breakfast burrito when we definitely could have shared. We want to explore the other cafes in town, but 5th and Jefferson has set a high standard!!”

“THE BEST COFFEE of my life!!! At the first sip of their Columbian Medium roast (with just a touch of cream and sugar), I froze in my tracks. Time stopped. I was overcome by the astonishingly satisfying flavor and balance. I forgot about all of my problems, for just a moment, and sunk into that perfection of their roast. It's rare for me to find that perfect balance of flavorful and bold without being overly acidic or bitter, while also not being watery or too weak, and THIS was it.

After that first sip, I had to tell someone, so I told Robert who was working behind the counter, just how much I loved this coffee. Robert was, from the start, so incredibly friendly and helpful, and a real pleasure to talk to. Robert warmly thanked me and said he'd pass my compliment to the owner.

For the next hour, I sat in the small, but very comfortable seating area, and began what I came for: To get on WIFI and work on my laptop and try to get something meaningful done. Not only did I get it done, I basically redesigned my worklife. I attribute my success in this (which I'd wanted to do for months) to the positive energy of that Columbian medium roast, the friendiness of Robert, and the warmth and optimism of the guests and staff that came in.

As if this wasn't already an amazing morning, Robert also introduced me to the owner, Sean, who told me a little about his roasting process (this has been his passion for 20 years!) One by one, really friendly people and staff came through the doors, and Robert introduced me to basically everyone that would be good for me to know in the local arts and music community, of which I am a new member.

I left Pinky Promise and went on to have probably the most productive and satisfying day I can recall in probably the past 5 years.

“Had a coffee and scone and they were both pretty good. The coffee and espresso were on the lighter/weaker side. So I would recommend getting an extra shot if you are used to a stronger flavor. Cool interior with lots of unique pieces.”

“Donnys Glidden delivers a classic old school supper club vibe and menu. While the menu is not pushing the culinary cutting edge, the food is generously portioned and very well prepared. The service is very solid and accommodating. The views on lake Michigan are worth a visit all on their own.”

“I would recommend this establishment to anyone, young or old, who wants good food, enjoys watching sports, or enjoys golf simulators and axe throwing. The food is great from what I have had and I can’t complain about the prices or the menu selection. They offer golf simulators, axe throwing stalls, arcade machines, slot machines, pull tabs and dart machines too. Plenty of parking and seating for bigger crowds.”

“Stay with us and enjoy a pot of Door County Coffee every morning. Each of our cottages receive delicious varieties like Country Morning Blend, Highlander Grogg, Deaths Door, Sunrise Roast. There’s always a Breakfast Blend decaf and always seasonal favorite depending on the time of year. It isn’t a Door County vacation without a cup of Door County coffee in a Door County mug while sitting on the cottage deck of your Door County vacation cottage. It’s the good life.”

Very quaint, gotta get there fast to get one of the 2 tables available. Popular with locals, appreciated friendliness of regulars who advised us of places to visit while staying the week. We ended up at Crate in downtown (3rd Ave) Sturgeon-unassuming outside, but gave a try-I am a lover of foods around the globe, and I had THE BEST stuffed Pork chop I’ve EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! We all loved the Sushi!! Loved my husband’s ‘Crate Old Fashioned!’ My Son loved his steak. I highly recommend!”
