“I'll be honest. I've been to China King and Panda Express many times over the years. One day, I decided to try something different, Chang Jiang. I was absolutely shocked. China King and Panda Express are good, but Chang Jiang is just on a whole other level. Everything I've ever gotten there tastes amazing! The workers are nice too! One thing I will recommend to quite literally EVERYONE I meet: Eat the damn pork egg rolls. They'll change your life. They'll make you go from whatever size your at now to plus fifty pounds. Seriously. Their absolutely heavenly.“
“I saved an opening announcement for this restaurant but forgot about it until I found it with my recipes recently. We really enjoyed the dumplings and Happy Family dish we picked up Thursday. I like dumplings and so often suspect what I get was bought frozen. Not the case here. Wrappers are thin as opposed to thick and doughy. Filling is tasty and includes a range of ingredients. Happy Family was meaty and flavorful! YUM!! We will be back!!“
“Food was hot and as fresh as can be. Order at the counter for to go or there is a small, clean dining room to sit. The meal was brought out to me, hot and delicious and quickly. I would highly recommend, a hidden gem. Also you can tell the kitchen staff works hard to get the food out quickly.“
“I almost want to gatekeep this place but I’m shocked at how little reviews this place has. I always come to global food market JUST for the brisket rice noodle soup (#20, $12.95) and the occasional mango sago ($3.95)!!!! I’ve ordered the same dish at least 6 times. The meat portion is on another level, ingredients are so fresh and broth is so hearty and well seasoned. When first served it doesn’t look like much because there’s just so much broth but the bowl is huge. “They are becoming our go to for take-out Chinese food. Only issue I've ever had turned out to be my fault as I got what I ordered but I didn't order what I thought. Duh! They prefer cash and I don't blame them. Get there earlier than they say because they are very fast. There is a dining area but I don't know if I have ever seen more than one table in use.“
“Was just there today first time for lunch carry out. Indeed a simple and not super inviting place, but I'll be back to eat in sometime. They're super nice and happy people, all seemed to be family. The teen taking my order was very helpful with my request to try something new and I asked for something traditional Chinese and not Americanized. As other reviewers say, it's decor is pretty plain and uninviting but they're super nice. Per their suggestion I got homestyle tofu and veggies and Singapore mei fun (they suggested any of the mei fun as traditional). Also got steamed dumplings (I ate 2 today and want to fry the other 4 later tonight), and a spring roll. The veggies in tofu dish were perfect al dente and the mei fun which they have labeled spicy was super flavorful with spices but medium hot at most which is perfect for me. The Singapore Mei fun and dumpling filling both had delicious prominent flavor I think might have been star anise.“
“Even with the not so great recent reviews we decided to give this place a try. Put the order in ahead of time and when we arrived it was ready in a bag to pick up! Portion sizes are fantastic for the price. I'm sure even better during lunch specials. I ordered the sweet and sour pork. Breading was fantastic and loved the consistency of the rice. My fiancé got chicken chow mein which was delicious also! We both got an egg roll and that's definitely worth the couple extra bucks to add on. Can't wait to try more menu items!“
“Me and bf are vegetarian. So we got vegetable lo mein and general tso tofu. Lo mein was amaaazing and the g.t. Tofu was good too so we're likely to come back and eat more. The ambiance is like if you turned a Burger King into a Chinese place. Clean. Good service“
“Good food, I just had a beef with broccoli combo, well priced and came with a drink. I’ve been to a lot of Chinese places around the Midwest, and worked for one in my home town. But the egg roll I got with my combo was actually perfect. It’s an easy thing to throw on the menu, but it’s rare to find one this good. Although I had simple food, it was done right and filled me up with leftovers. Only critique I’d have is that dine in doesn’t have music playing, but otherwise the atmosphere is good, & they have nice art hanging/for sale within the dining area. Overall deserves a try!“
“I've been going here for 20+ years, through several owners. I have only had a couple bad dishes over the years, and they are happy to replace things that were wrong. They often give extra items when you put in a large order. I like them much better than the other place in town, especially the fried rice and eggrolls.“
“This is the very best Chinese food in Madison! I always ask for extra veggies to substitute for the rice and the woman who usually works the counter is always super friendly and very accommodating! Their flavor and freshness is awesome! 100% recommend this restaurant! Usually I get a stomach ache after eating Chinese but I always feel great after a lunch here!“
“Panda Garden has been one of my favorite spots for years!! (Sun prairie local) The food is great! The people that run it are good people. Try the he fun (thick noodle) and i love the chicken teriyaki and the spring rolls. Dad likes the crab rangoon and sesame chicken.
