“I stopped in to Thirsty Pagan Brewing to try a couple of their brews. They had 9 of their beers on including an Amber, American pale ale, dark ale, west coast IPA, cream ale, an orange cream, pineapple pale ale, pilsner, and a Hazy IPA. Pagan has a nice outdoor seating area. The bar area had plenty of space with high ceilings, with lots of the historic feel that you expect in Superior. The service was friendly and fast. Pagan a full bar and a pizza and app menu if you get hungry. The Superior/Duluth area has a ton of brewery options and you should put this one on your list.”

“The cheese tray was lovely, but over priced for the amount that is on it. I would buy one more often if the price was more reasonable, but it was wonderful for a special occasion.The outdoors seating is beautiful and there is heaters and even blankets to sit on. Nice touch.”

“I just like this place for the quick service and overall atmosphere. not the flashiest place, not the fanciest place, but at least, even when it's busy, you know they know you exist and that your turn is coming. Goes a long way. I also like that the bartenders and regular customers seem to get along more like a family then just some body serving another person a drink kind of thing.”

“I love Subway! My favorite sandwiches are "The Philly" and the "Sweet Onion Teriyaki". Both are delicious!! And Subway is great for finding more healthy options than fried foods. It's one of my "go to" places for both lunch and dinner.

“My husband and I dined here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. And WOW was everything tasty! We started with the Nueske's Bacon & Bleu Cheese Fries, such a good combination of flavors! I had the Pluma Iberico Pork, very tender and tasty. My husband had the ribeye which was also very tender and had a really good seasoning on it. Garlic chive whipped potatoes? Can’t go wrong there! We ended with the raspberry tiramisu, but there wasn’t a whole lot of room left so we definitely took it home. Sam was our server and he was also great! He made some recommendations when we asked, made sure we had everything we needed, and was sure to wish us a happy anniversary before we left. We will likely be repeat customers!!”

“So I went to Taco John's once about 10 years ago when my students made me on a road trip. Then I did it again a couple years later. Then last week my wife said she had never been so we went.... I thought maybe things would have improved... But not really, the food just seems to be overall pretty bland. I just hate to say it but because I like to give positive reviews to places but it seems like that all three Taco John's just doesn't really do anything for me. Staff is always super nice though. And they are clean and decent restaurants. Kirk, heck, even the generic Taco Bell seems to have just a little more flavor to it. Of course, none of them compared to or are even trying to compare to any of the authentic kind of Street tacos you can find on Taco Tuesdays at some authentic good local Mexican restaurants. But at least in a pinch it's not nasty, it's okay.”

“I pass by this location several times a year while traveling between Eau Claire and Walker Minnesota, this ends up being about the halfway point. I always get the double Whopper with cheese, heavy on the onions. The drive-thru staff is always very friendly and efficient and the consistency of my order is always perfect. Excellent job!”

“I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were fried instead of poached and were not cooked to soft, but they did not ask me for my preference. The eggs were fried to crunchy bottom, not the way I liked my eggs, I was not 100% satisfied. The sauce was tasty and plentiful. The rest of the meal was good.”

“The best Chicken Caesar Salad I’ve ever had! Period. End of story. (except please keep reading) I’m so happy I got to talk to the mastermind behind this dish (Brandon knows what he is doing!!!), because I wouldn’t normally order this salad. I usually find Caesar salads to be bland and boring. Not this one! Smoked bacon (made in house), croutons (made in house), plus a Caesar dressing that compliments instead of overpowering the salad - yes, again made in house. Then Brandon explained how he makes the chips in house (I won’t try to explain it, because I won’t do it justice), but just know that it is like a chip and a waffle fry had a baby, and these chips are the wonderful, delicious outcome ~ light, but flavorful! A must order!!! The cherry on top was the great service. Cathy was a fabulous bartender and server! She was welcoming from the moment I sat down, and was attentive, without being overbearing. She also made great cocktails! Overall, The Shack was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to coming back on a weekly bases while in town for work. They apparently had a rough go during Covid, but Brandon (& others) have been working tirelessly to improve things, and I’m definitely impressed! I recommend you give them a try as well!”

“We ordered take out and had the Mongolian Beef mild and Happy Couple, very bland, no flavor, rice was crunchy, beef was like rubber and you could not chew it. Gave the beef to our dog. Also had cream cheese wontons. They left out the sweet and sour sauce. About 2 hours after we ate, we had severe stomach pains. Won't order or eat from there again. Very disappointing. We never had any issues when it was China Inn. ☹”

“Monday Meal Wheel gang here. Another good meal and we are leaving full and happy. Waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Had Whisky Burger, Tomato Basil soup, Broccoli Chicken Alfredo and the Chicken Honey BBQ Skillet. No complaints at all with anything.”

“I thought they had ice cream 😂 they don't. I think combining Baskin Robbins with Dunkin in my town made things confusing. I went to only Dunkin thinking they have ice cream like the other one. They didn't. They probably thought I was a weirdo. Trying to get a shake at a coffee store. Anyways they got a crushed ice coffee with flavor instead, the closest thing they could get to ice cream. She was cool though she made a sale! I would have just left but she threw the offer up and I took it 😂”
