“Since moving from San Diego California to Charles Town in early 2000s I always missed the abundant access to local fresh Mexican food; near impossible to find the same un-Americanized style in the Jefferson County area. When I stumbled across Ortega’s and then finding out the Ortega family was from my old stomping grounds, I felt like I struck gold. Being a local boutique pepper grower I was able to share peppers with Ortega’s from Jalapeños to Chocolate Habaneros. I’m a burrito lover and will ask to change up the carne asada burrito by removing most of the rice and beans and adding more carne to closer match the Taco/Burrito shops in San Diego of straight carne. The also make one of my fav if you lucky enough to find packaged in the counter fridge “escabeche” Mexican Pickled Jalapeño and Carrots (Jalapeño y zanahorias en escabeche). Ortega’s to truly a gem of Charles Town so please stop in and give them a try, I wish the Ortega’s team many more years of success! ”

“Wow for starters my husband got loaded steak fries and where I’m from it’s steakums nooo this was actual steak on fries it was so good I ate some of his plus what I ordered I ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich and fries it was so good . “I wanted to leave a review for Paddy’s since every other one was negative and not helpful! We are staying in the area for vacation and wanted to go somewhere for dinner. Paddy’s had a wide variety on their menu; Irish food, sandwiches, seafood and specials each night. The restaurant is in a historical building in the heart of Charles Town. We went on a Wednesday night and it was surprisingly pretty busy! We got set right away and food did not take very long either. There seemed to be maybe only 2 servers for a big (2 room) restaurant, but even the service was not too slow- just more laid back. We all enjoyed our food and I especially wanted to note they the wing night special (6 bone in wings for 6 dollars) was awesome! Good wings for a good price! My only complaint is there was no Irish music playing! Overall good experience and if you’re looking for a casual, solid dining experience in the area I would recommend!”

“I went here a couple of weeks ago. The pizza place has some delicious options, and the prices aren’t too bad either. I did not get a chance to try the other options, but they all had lines, so I am guessing they are pretty good, too.”

“Super friendly, food made fresh, everything was tasty. Bathrooms and restaurant were clean. Disappointed that we couldn't get floats because of a maintenance issue, not staff fault but still sad. We'll definitely stop again next time we're in town.”
