“Layne’s Chicken Fingers: The Multiverse of Fried Madness
Walking into Layne’s, you might feel a strange sense of déjà vu. The chicken. The sauce. The Texas toast. It’s all eerily familiar—like Raising Cane’s, but with a slightly different font and a stubborn refusal to be sued. But here’s the kicker: Layne’s has been frying tendies since 1994, back when Todd Graves was still welding pipes in Los Angeles, blissfully unaware that Texas had already beat him to the punch. That’s why the year 1994 is plastered no fewer than six times in and outside this fine establishment—just in case a certain billionaire chicken mogul starts getting any ideas.
Now, let’s talk tenders. Layne’s spicy version isn’t that spicy, but it has about 100x more flavor than the competition. And unlike that other chicken joint with its one lonely sauce, Layne’s gives you options—six sauces, including Jalapeño Ranch (bold), Gravy (unexpected), and, of course, Layne’s Sauce (suspiciously familiar). The crinkle fries? Piping hot and salted by someone who respects the craft. The Texas toast? Properly grilled, because Texas takes its carbs seriously.
Then there are the milkshakes—five flavors, sitting there, mocking my self-control. Did I get one? No. Do I regret it? Yes.
Now, is Layne’s co-founder Mike Garrett worth $9.5 billion like Todd Graves? Probably not. But has he made an honest buck serving up quality fried chicken without building a corporate empire? You bet.
As for the dining experience, the service was fine—no forced “My Pleasure,” but also no existential dread behind the register. However, be warned: if you drive here, you’ll have to pay to park on the street or in a lot. And whatever you do, do not back into your spot, or Morgantown’s friendly parking enforcers will hit you with a delightful $7.50 ticket. Because nothing complements a box of hot, crispy tenders like a parking violation.
If you’ve got a craving for tendies while watching your meme stocks tank, give Layne’s a shot. It’s hot, fresh, and—unlike some other places—you don’t have to ask permission for lemonade.“

“I wasn't expecting alot from this place. But I have to say there pizza is really good. There toppings are fresh the sauce is amazing . The crust was cooked perfect. The manger was so nice actually came over and asked if everything was good. So if you get a chance go and build your own pizza we'll worth the money.“

“I have to give Arby's big props! I think they may be trying to compete with the CFA across the street for kind, courteous service. The lady at the drive thru on Patteson Drive around 2:15pm today was great! And I tried something new that tasted like superior quality & healthier than most fast food options: the Market Fresh Turkey, Bacon, Ranch sandwich & crinkle fries! So good, I had to search & find a way to share a positive review. Thanks Arby's!“

“Every time I go here I usually tip because I know what it's like working in Fast food and sometimes it's awful due to customers being jerks, short staffed, coworkers being annoying, or you picking up the slack for other's. This location is great and I appreciate every worker there. Only thing is if you go through drive thru ask for to go lids because it's not automatically giving which it really should be but no issue I just ask. They definitely do deserve a raise because some of my order's are big and they are excellent at getting it right, plus we always check before leaving the parking lot to be safe. So glad you've got 100% better than the last location y'all had, definitely can tell the difference! My kid's love it here!
Vegetarian options: Tell them no meat and they also have a lot of options!
Dietary restrictions: Just let them know if you have a allergy before ordering.
Parking: It's part of the bfs gas station and a big parking lot!
Kid-friendliness: A lot of choices for the kid's!
Wheelchair accessibility: Enter through the has station there's a flat area to get you inside and handicap parking as well.“

“This Burger King impressed me with its clean and modern ambiance, setting a positive tone for our visit. The staff were exceptional, providing friendly and efficient service. The two individuals I encountered inside were particularly pleasant and helpful. As for the food, it was fresh, hot, and overall quite satisfying. I got the impossible whopper and a oreo shake. While it didn't necessarily exceed my expectations in terms of taste, it was certainly enjoyable. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, great service, and decent food made my experience at this location a positive one on the road...
Vegetarian options: Impossible whopper“

“The staff was very nice and they had our order ready very quickly. Everything was good. The coleslaw and hush puppies were just like I remembered. They have a selection of sides but I do miss the corn on the cob they had when I was younger. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.“

“Great Place.
Someone give Patrick a raise, he was extremely polite and accomodating. When I got there they were out of teriyaki chicken, and crab rangoon. They told me about a 10 min wait (no problem), but then they got flooded with a line. Patrick took it upon himself to walk the food that was ready over to us, and then walk the chicken over when it was ready. 10/10 experience and a very pleasant time even when you have to wait and it's busy.“

“Every time I stop in after placing my order with the app for pick up, each person I come in contact with is so friendly and welcoming and patient. I had my lil fur baby and an associate asked if I'd like a pup cup for him. Aww! So awesome! My food is always fresh, and yummy. Thanks so much, your doing an amazing job!!!“

“The employees have always been wonderful to me each time I’ve ordered food here. Usually go inside due to my order size, and I’ve never had a problem with missing or incorrect items. Orders are always accurate and freshly made.
Parking: This Taco Bell is located in a gas station, so parking is a bit difficult if it’s busy. If not busy, then parking is quite easy.
Kid-friendliness: It’s Taco Bell. Family friendly taco time.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has handicap parking and wheelchair ramp.“

“Very busy place, but well staffed and fast service! We ate in but didn’t have a long wait after ordering. Staff was cleaning the tables as they became empty. Looked like there were two lanes into the drive thru and the cars seemed to be moving rather quickly. Staff was efficient and friendly. And the chicken was delicious, very moist. A pleasant experience after a long day of travel.“

“Very satisfied with this McDonald's. The few times they've messed up my order they've went above and beyond to make it right. Last time I got my burger they forgot, plus an extra one and an ice cream for free. Almost all the people there are extremely nice, especially the evening manager.“
