“Black Bear is a Morgantown institution! They have a large menu with many, many delicious items! Their burritos and quesadillas are awesome! It is a very unique place! Portions were generous! I had not visited since before Covid and I was very impressed! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience!“
“Consistently tasty food - we especially like the street taco combo and tacos campechanos. Great margaritas, and we enjoy the chips and salsa. If it's cold out, try the chicken and rice soup!Dietary restrictions: All the choices I mentioned are dairy free - safe options for my milk allergy.“
“I had their new quesa birria tacos which is a favorite of mine. They were excellent and maybe even better than my favorite spot in Charleston, SC (Rebel Taqueria) the house Margarita was solid too, would definitely eat here again if I pass “
“Everything was decent but not great. Nice service. Fine atmosphere in a strip mall, nothing to write home about but not bad. Free chips and salsa which is always great. Ordered the fajitas which were okay but again, not great. Meat could have used a little more seasoning, and I was disappointed that it came out on a platter versus the sizzling hot plate that fajitas normally come out on. Food filled me up and was good enough. Probably wouldn’t come back but I wouldn’t go as far as recommending against this place either. Normally I’m either pro or against - this restaurant was a rare one that was decidedly mid.“
“Ordered table side ceviche, Al pastor tacos, and a quesadilla; everything was hands down amazing. Music and vibe accompanied by great food was all I need to wind down at the restaurant. Some of the best tacos I’ve hand, and not to mention the complementary chips and pico de gallo. It’s worth it to sit down and breathe with delicious food.“
“The tacos are amazing! The burritos are huge. I've been a couple times in the last month and everything I've tried has been quite tasty. Very authentic and my new favorite place for Mexican. They make a spicy green sauce that I highly recommend. They are always friendly, and keep the restaurant very clean. Try this place out you won't be disappointed. They also serve Mexican Coke.“
“This is my second visit and won’t be my last. The food is really good! My husband and I have enjoyed everything we’ve ordered. He highly recommends the Birria ramen. The icing on the cake is fabulous jumbo margaritas, which are on all day happy hour for $5.99!! I believe you can park in the media business lot across the street after 5, otherwise there are two lots nearby.“
“Stopped here for first time with a friend who raced about the place. Now it will be a main place I eat when in the area! Awesome staff and they are very kid friendly! Totally recommend!Kid-friendliness: They were super friendly and interactive with my son. He's very picky and they helped talk him thru the menu to decide what to get!“
“Food is reliably delicious, staff is super friendly. and well decorated environment. Love it here, my boyfriend and i went on our first date here after both being fans for years and we continue to come back all the time. Love these guys they do great work“
“Absolutely the best Mexican food in Morgantown. Not only is the food exceptional (the street tacos, birriaramen, salsa, and elote), but the service is fantastic. The staff at Monarca are always so helpful and friendly every time I come in. Plus, they are incredibly speedy. Tonight I came by for some chips and salsa after a night out and they included a free serving of elote. I am so happy they are a part of our community, and I am so proud every time I get the opportunity to support them.“
