“this is my favourite place to eat, ever. the sushi is always tasty, always super affordable, and I love the guy who works here! Super hard-working and friendly. They’re fast, cheap, and delicious. I would say ignore any mediocre reviews, try them once, and form your own opinions. But I highly recommend and think you’ll come back!“

“What an absolute gem! The curry beef brisket here is as good as their Vancouver and Richmond locations. The beef rice noodles are perfectly cooked with plenty of ingredients. Really glad Mui Garden is still around as they have been for all these decades. Everything was so delicious we'll be coming back for more.“

“Crystal Cafe is the place to go when you're in need of a quick fix for your Hong Kong style cafe food cravings. While there are other options in the area that serve similar dishes, Crystal Cafe stands out for its affordability without compromising on taste. The menu offers a variety of options, and I must recommend the French toast – it's a must-try!“

“The food was great, and they offered some nice suggestions. The owners were very hospitable and saw me about to get up for more napkins and brought them to our table (A+). The black pepper chicken/beef extra spicy was legit, the veggies were cooked to al dente perfection.“

“This is the second restaurant by Wooden Fish under the brand "Pho & Roll". Let's start with location: the restaurant is located on Cambie Str, opposite to Save'On, Canadian Tire and BestBuy. The bus stop is right in front of the restaurant and the parking on W 7th Ave is very accessible ($1/1hr -> you can't beat that parking price anywhere else in downtown). 1 block away from Broadway City Hall. So I give you guys 5 stars for location and accessibility. The restaurant itself is a reflection of memoir of Vietnamese heritage that showcases thru all the pictures on the wall. High ceiling and open kitchen make "Pho & Roll" more special and you have the feeling of watching all the cooking activities in your kitchen. The best part is the food fetish with selective options of best Viet cuisine that remind us about a time in the past associated with a time in the future. I highly recommended the Pho Ga and Com Don and fried chicken here. Wordless to say about its taste but these are the "bang on the bucks" and "must try" when visiting. Their condiments are hand made, their dried lemon slices and pine apple are also hand made. Furthermore, take a sip of Viet traditional cofffee here. Overall, a magnificient experience for this hidden germ restaurant. Definitely a GO BACK for me no brainer.Parking: Park on W 7th Ave plenty of spotKid-friendliness: They do have a small corner to playWheelchair accessibility: Easy to access“

“I love this place! Delicious food with fast and polite service. I used to go here all the time when I went to SFU and now I still try to pop in for lunch whenever I’m in the neighbourhood. I get the katsu curry every time - I’m sure the rest of the menu is great too, but I don’t want anything else, it’s that good!“

“I don't think the Poke here is particularly special, but it's still really solid and I really enjoy it. Highly recommend bringing your own bowl (about 1.5L or 6-7 cups should be good (purex has some good ones)). With your own bowl you get a discount of 10%! Note you can't get flame torched with your own bowl.Vegetarian options: Tofu“

“From the outside, Happy Family seems like an unassuming restaurant, but stepping inside you'll come across a hidden gem of southern chinese cuisine. The waitresses that greeted us were very friendly, and accomodating to us. Even though it's my parents 3rd time here, they regarded them as regulars and treated us as honoured guests rather than customers. We ordered their specialty dishes and they were all quite good. The chicken was very chrispy and you get an explosion of flavour biting into it. The egg yolk really adds to the umami of the shrimp, and the eel rice has a generous amount of eel. Make sure to get the sticky rice at the bottom of the clay pot!“
