I was greeted but a young lady, did not catch her name, but she was so sweet. I ordered her recommendation on the mimosa... pineapple coconut and grenadine. So so so good. I ordered a mimosa, country fried steak burrito with no eggs and hashbrowns inside and a coffee. Everything exceeded my expectations. After tipping, it came to about $38. If I'm in the area again, I will most definitely come back.“

“Wife and I went to Chef’s Table for the first time for an early late afternoon dinner.. It’s located in a shopping center so there is ample parking. We entered and were promptly greeted. As directed we seated ourselves to an empty table. Our server greeted us with water and menus. He completely explained the choices and even went over the desserts. I believe his name was Brahm. Really nice person as well as the other staff members. They really made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We ordered our choices. Wife had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. In addition, she ordered the Caesar salad, I had the house hamburger with a side of French fries. Both dishes were excellent. The burger was humongous and delicious. Wife really enjoyed her choices. To finish, wife ordered the cornbread strawberry shortcake. Wow, what a great find. The place was half full when we entered and was packed when we left.I really want to compliment the staff in addition to the food. Staff and food made this a memorable experience. We will be back and highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.You gotta try this place.“

“Used to go to Awful Annie's in Lincoln. Haven't been to the Auburn location so we decided to go for breakfast. The food was the same (other than my toast coming out a little over toasted) but the service was not as good as we expected. My wife asked for extra olives in her Bloody Mary and didn't get them. I know but we've been spoiled by the great service in the Lincoln branch. We'll be back...UPDATE Went back, and had great service and great food! Yeah!“

“I came to Hawks for the first time with my family to celebrate my birthday. Our food was excellent though I was a little surprised by prices, I thought they were a little too high. First course, we shared charcuterie plate, I thought there too many pate, we tried all but still had a lot left over. For entree, I had duck confit with couscous and peas, I didnt really like the peas. My husband had wagyu cheeseburger, and kids had chiken strips and fries. We all liked our food. I would say it was 9.5/10. We did receive a plate of complimentary birthday dessert which was very delightful, as I didn't want to start placing dessert orders as it was around closing time. I do want to say a huge thank you to our server who went above and beyond especially being super sweet towards our kids. He provided exceptional service! There were no other families in the restaurant with kids at the time and I'm very happy he made us feel welcomed. I see us coming back here again to try other items on menu but probably only for special occasion.“

Try this place!LONG VERSION:My intent coming in had been to order a Club sandwich, but before I could, the young man behind the counter suggested the tri-tip French Dip they had on special. And just then two of them came out for an earlier customer and I was sold.I got the sweet French roll and passed on the garlic aioli. As Miss Vickie and I have had an intense relationship going for years, I was happy to meet her on their chip rack and share the sandwich experience with her. Sodas are in the can, which is not my favorite way to drink it, but pricing is reasonable and the selection is wide (my Diet Dr Pepper is a mundane choice - they have many varieties and flavors of sodas, juices, and the like).The sandwich was just about perfect. The tri tip was sliced to a proper thickness and cooked tender with absolutely none of the stringiness that tends to happen in these sandwiches. The au jus wasn't the watery restaurant variety, but a creamy, almost soup-like sauce which dipped well, coated the sandwich bites well, and was savory enough I considered using a spoon to slurp up what was left after I'd finished.The staff was friendly - not just with me but with every customer who came in or called. And it was busy while I was here! They were outgoing, talkative, and seemed to be enjoying their work. Great job!In a day when a convenience store sandwich will cost you seven bucks or more, $16 for a neat perfect trip tip French dip of decent size is a good deal.My only complaint was atmospheric - the fluorescent bulb above the counter seating I chose was flickering like a strobe light, which was far more annoying than I thought it would be. Odds are it'll be fixed before I come back though.I loved it! Eat here!“

Oddly enough, I used to live right down the street from here for a year, used to go to the shopping center at least once a week and the Starbucks couple doors down a few times a week, for a few years... So, you can imagine how surprised I was to find out this place was there and this was my first time visiting it.... The service was great. They were on top of it, fast, attentive, helpful and very efficient. The restaurant is an old diner and definitely represents that old school style, layout and vibe. The food was great! Just what I needed and what I was looking for. I didn't even think that you could get as good of a breakfast from a diner, but, this was pretty great. All was fresh, made to order, great combination and flavors. I will definitely be frequenting this place now that I know what they have to offer and a few other items I'd like to try on their menu.“

“Haven't been to Yard House outside the one in Long Beach and man, they did not disappoint. Mind you I sat at the bar so I can't speak to the waitstaff, but the bartenders were attentive without being annoying. They read your needs really well. The environment isn't too, loud but was still energetic and has nice tall ceilings making the space feel huge. And the food was super tasty, and came super quick. Spicey garlic beef noodles were bomb!“

“Heard about this place awhile ago but finally got a chance to try it. Arrived around 11 am on a weekday. We got seated immediately and there were lots of open tables. Came with a friend. I ordered the chicken fried steak. My friend got a side of corned beef and a cinnamon roll. Portions are large and a good deal for the price! The corned beef is fresh rather than canned which is great. The cinnamon roll I massive and the size of the entire dinner plate! My chicken fried steak was crispy and cooked well. I ordered a biscuit with it which was also twice the size of a normal biscuit. The menu is massive. The servers were attentive and I would return to try other foods.“

“I have lived in Foresthill, CA for over 40 years. I Remember the days when Black Bear opened. Every time I have family in Area, just need a great burger, little late going home and do not want to cook or just because i want a meal, I have ate at Brown Bear so many times over the last 40 years. Over 500 times with over 2000 customers with me. Understand, I have Managed restaurants for 20 years and it is one of those things that I can do. I can see behind the scene by seeing the front. In other words, I do not have to walk in the back in order to understand if it is clean, keeped, managed. By seeing all the rest it tells me if Management and Employees are following values and procedures which makes a great restaurant. I have never had any issue with the Auburn, CA restaurant. Not one. Great food, great portioned size meals, fresh items, friendly seivice, and most important very clean. Even down to the lights and bottom side of tables. I also should add that for the price, I personally think it is great because I love having half of my meal 5 hours later. Visit Auburn Brown Bear Restaurant and prove me wrong.“

“They have always had good donuts, that's not debatable. This past weekend was my daughter's 4th birthday party. She asked for a donut themed birthday. I called the day before and asked for 2 dozen donuts. The woman I talked to was amazing. She was so excited for us, and she said she'd make sure we had lots of sprinkles, because the kids love sprinkles! When we went to pick them up on Saturday we had just driven to Cavitt Jr High to discover the annual egg hunt was cancelled. My daughter was so upset, she was completely inconsolable while we tried to explain we'd still get the donuts and her party wasn't cancelled. We went inside and the woman working the register was so kind to her that she completely forgot about the egg hunt. She showed her all the donuts she packed for us, and even gave her a special heart shaped donut. She couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there. Anyone with a toddler or small child knows how game changing this was, and it helped set the mood for the rest of the day. TLDR. Donuts are awesome. Service is awesome. 100/10“
