The worst part is having to decide between so much good food. I usually don't buy ribs from places cause I love my own ribs but I get them here a lot. They are amazing as well as all the other food. “I came to Hawks for the first time with my family to celebrate my birthday. Our food was excellent though I was a little surprised by prices, I thought they were a little too high. First course, we shared charcuterie plate, I thought there too many pate, we tried all but still had a lot left over. For entree, I had duck confit with couscous and peas, I didnt really like the peas. My husband had wagyu cheeseburger, and kids had chiken strips and fries. We all liked our food. I would say it was 9.5/10. We did receive a plate of complimentary birthday dessert which was very delightful, as I didn't want to start placing dessert orders as it was around closing time. I do want to say a huge thank you to our server who went above and beyond especially being super sweet towards our kids. He provided exceptional service! There were no other families in the restaurant with kids at the time and I'm very happy he made us feel welcomed. I see us coming back here again to try other items on menu but probably only for special occasion.“

“It was Mother's Day weekend, so I expected complete chaos like every other restaurant. To my surprise, the organization and communication to be seated was a breeze.Once we were seated, our drinks came out quickly. We needed some extra time with the menu because our kids did not know what they wanted yet. Our waitress was more than accommodating and checked back in with us as soon as we were ready.The turn-around with our food and additional drinks were sufficient. The cooking quality of our breakfast was amazing! Exactly how we ordered it. I was very satisfied with our service and food quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.“

It brought tears to our eyes and the love for Labs and all dogs is very heartfelt. I loved all the pictures of happy dogs around the restaurant and to find out the staff was asking to bring in pictures of their dogs to help decorate the walls just melted my heart. “I'm embarrassed to say this but I grew up in Orangevale and this was my first time here! And all I can say is WOW! I have been missing out! Maria was our server and she was amazing. So nice and attentive. Great service. And the food? I can't find a monte cristo anywhere. It was soooo good! Prices were great and you get so much food! We will definitely be back!“

“Number one I have to say that the name of the restaurant is awesome. And, we understand now why it is called what it is called.We tried this place on a whim because we wanted something different, and the Lobster Roll caught our eye. As you can see by our pictures, we did not end up getting that because the other two items we ended up choosing sounded Delicious from their description.Definitely have to say that the food was unbelievably delicious and full of flavor. My pastrami sandwich was out of this world I have never had a cut like this I believe they said it was called the Sailor cut so gives you a little bit more of that marbling of the meat so that it absorbs the flavors really well of the seasoning. Also, the rye bread was phenomenal. You could taste the freshness of the Rye it had a beautiful crunch to it and was still soft in the inside, which lent itself to absorbing the juice from the meat. And I can not forget that it came with these perfectly homemade pickles that were slightly sweet salty and a little Tangy that brought the entire sandwich together. Also I did not realize the salad that I got as my side would come with homemade blue cheese dressing that was phenomenal and I really enjoyed the Little Flower carrots that were in the salad very very nice touch.The Bob Hope Burger was so well balanced between sweet and spicy, and the caramelized onion that came with it was perfection. My friend asked for the burger medium, and it was cooked exactly the way he wanted it. Unfortunately, he was unable to finish it because I gave him a piece of the pastrami sandwich because I told him he had to try it.The last thing I would like to speak about is the waitstaff and service. Everyone there was so kind and welcoming. About three different people came to check on our table to see how things were doing, and they gave us a little bit of the history around the restaurant that connected to the lobster sandwich.I will not give that story away go check it out and find out the history behind the sandwich. I know I will go back because now I really want to try it“

“Samuel Hornes has spoiled all other burgers for me. I always get my burgers well done coz I’m that paranoid of minced meat. But even a well done burger here was so juicy! Definitely the best I’ve ever had. So much so that I don’t eat burgers elsewhere.“

“They have always had good donuts, that's not debatable. This past weekend was my daughter's 4th birthday party. She asked for a donut themed birthday. I called the day before and asked for 2 dozen donuts. The woman I talked to was amazing. She was so excited for us, and she said she'd make sure we had lots of sprinkles, because the kids love sprinkles! When we went to pick them up on Saturday we had just driven to Cavitt Jr High to discover the annual egg hunt was cancelled. My daughter was so upset, she was completely inconsolable while we tried to explain we'd still get the donuts and her party wasn't cancelled. We went inside and the woman working the register was so kind to her that she completely forgot about the egg hunt. She showed her all the donuts she packed for us, and even gave her a special heart shaped donut. She couldn't stop smiling the whole time we were there. Anyone with a toddler or small child knows how game changing this was, and it helped set the mood for the rest of the day. TLDR. Donuts are awesome. Service is awesome. 100/10“

“I called for a pickup order. Wasn't too thrilled when the total came to $34 and some change. I guess it's the times? I walked up and saw they offered dog treats outside. So cute. I was greeted but a young lady, did not catch her name, but she was so sweet. I ordered her recommendation on the mimosa... pineapple coconut and grenadine. So so so good. I ordered a mimosa, country fried steak burrito with no eggs and hashbrowns inside and a coffee. Everything exceeded my expectations. After tipping, it came to about $38. If I'm in the area again, I will most definitely come back.“
