“Visited this mom and pop shop around evening rush and I was impressed by how quick my service was, it was ready in less than 15 minutes. It's take out only with no seating available, however the layout of the restaurant seems like it used to be a sit down restaurant prior. The orange chicken was crispy, albeit the sauce was slightly slimy. The pad thai leaned too heavily on tamarind and fish flavors. However, the pad see ew shone with its delightful taste. While the Thai tea boba was a tad warm and priced a bit higher than usual, other dishes were reasonably portioned and priced.“

“I've had a lot of ramen in the states. This one is the first that truly displayed truly authentic Japanese ramen. The aroma oil perfectly accompanies the tare and the broth. Wonderful presentation with a menu that both respects Japanese roots of the restaurant while also dynamically including elements uniquely from California. Definitely come here if you want authentic ramen with a fun inviting atmosphere and wonderful people, especially Jaxon and Donovan.“

“Dropped in on a whim for lunch yesterday and could not have been more wowed... my wife and I got their cheese and mushroom tasting menu which was extremely reasonably priced for the extremely high quality food and service we received. Despite the electric feeling of the open kitchen in the center of the bar, it never felt panicked or frantic. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by a manager who filled us in on their menu and the concept of the restaurant (fresh pasta shipped from Italy daily including eggs the likes of which can only be found there!). Then, an equally friendly and helpful server came and grabbed our order. After a few minutes, I was surprised to see one of the chefs himself whip around from working over a burner to plate our pasta for us straight out of the pan and present us with our first course (as he would continue to do for each subsequent course). He smiled saying, "Oooh, this is a velvety one! The pasta water must be really good today... You'll love this!" He seemed just as excited as we were. I also got a glass of vermentino to wash everything down, but I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes and other wines on their list. The entire experience just felt so passionate and organic in its approach to simple but perfected pasta dishes. The best part is undoubtedly the pasta itself, but it was a nice cherry on top to see this is a "no tipping" restaurant that charges a 16% pre-tax service fee... I assume this place just pays their workers what they deserve because DAMN they worked as a team flawlessly. I just love everything about this place now, so I highly recommend you go.“

“We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! Everything, from the poke bowl, salmon teriyaki, brussels sprouts, and edamame, were perfect! High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good service also. We will definitely be back.“

“Short Ribs are delicious! Do yourself a favor and order Special B. It comes with Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Beef Short Ribs, sides of rice and salad plus teriyaki sauce and chili sauce. The short ribs and chicken were not only delicious they were nice and hot! You can tell they came right off the grill! Portion size is big for the price. For appetizer, ordered chicken egg rolls (qty: 3) comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Egg rolls were hot and crispy. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. He offered to clean the table before we sat down. I liked and appreciated that. The restaurant is very clean and has a small dining area.“

“Takeout experience only since I'm a lazy lady. The vegan pho was phenomenal! Like better than any other Asian veggie soup I've had in AGES! Nice amount of veggies, flavorful broth, good portion, and it travels well. The stir-fried spicy lemongrass imitation beef is really good and has the best texture. I think it's a little too much lemongrass for me but we still get a portion every time we order. The mixed tempura is battered nicely! Always a hit. The stir-fried tofu and mushroom plate is so tasty but so small. I wish the portion size was a little bigger since neither of these ingredients is that expensive, ya know? I need to try a few other things on the menu. I've tried the vegetarian stir fried flat noodles, the vegetarian udon, the catfish stewed with green onion... these weren't bad, but they won't be my repeat order. Overall, I really enjoy their pho and this will be part of our regular rotation!“

“We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. “Came here yesterday for the first time after visiting the Thai market across the street. We had a beef noodle soup and a Thai curry pizza, they were both really great! I think I'll like their marinara sauce pizza more because the onions were a looooot for me. But if you love onions, this is the place!!!The pizza dough and crust was just ? great. Soft, pillowy. Definitely recommended.The beef noodle soup was great too!!! The perfect touch of sweetness and spiciness. Super flavorful. And the folks here were super welcoming and nice! “If you can't get to SGV, where the quality and selection of Chinese food is incredible, Sam Woo is a great valley option. Standouts are their BBQ meats; roast duck, roast pork , char siu. Good selections of all noodle dishes; chow menial, Lo Meir, chow fun. Then like most Chinese restaurants hundreds of options. The key here is their consistent authentic dishes. “I love Pho and am very hard to please when it comes to a good pho. I have been to many pho restaurants and have not been impressed at all. The West Hills Pho 1, however, despite being much more distance than many others close to me are my ideal pho place. It's a clean and nice place, the food is served so quickly within few minutes of ordering, the quality and amount of pho served is wonderful, I order chicken pho, there was such generous amount of chicken white meat in there, generous amount if the soup, noodles, fresh mung bean sprouts, fresh basil, fresh and juicy lemon halfs which I asked for, I love lots of lemon juice in my pho. This is by far THE MOST DELICIOUS AND BEST PHO I HAVE EVER TRIED.“
