“Been a few years since we've been here and they've modernize the place. Menu got an update as well. I got #1-pho special and my husband got #4 also pho ? still delicious, we both almost emptied the huge bowl but the broth towards the end felt too salty, still as good as I remembered it and price is somewhat affordable compared to other places6 years ago:Love their pho, my husband love their #51. Portions are big for the pho and I'm always full, satisfied and happy after consuming the big bowl of noodles and broth.Very occasionally I order the porridge with ofalls and deep fried bread - just hit the spot for me. Prices are still affordable even though they've raised a little. Everyone that I brought to this place enjoys their food. It's a very simple restaurant, nothing fancy and get very crowded during meal times.“

“If you can't get to SGV, where the quality and selection of Chinese food is incredible, Sam Woo is a great valley option. Standouts are their BBQ meats; roast duck, roast pork , char siu. Good selections of all noodle dishes; chow menial, Lo Meir, chow fun. Then like most Chinese restaurants hundreds of options. The key here is their consistent authentic dishes. Casual and good service.“

“I saw a post regarding this place and decided to stop by to try them out, the post I saw showed that they were very generous with their portions, I can confirm that they do serve humongous portions that you can just barely close the lid of the food Container.I ordered the chow mien/fried rice with spicy pork and 3pcs fried chicken wings, I love the spicy pork, the fried rice and chow mien were also good. They have other foods I have to try out.The servers were friendly and professionalThe dining area feels kinda divey but functional and clean, I came in around 5:30pm, not sure of their operating hours. “Silverlake ramen in van nuys still living up to its name m/original location in silverlake. I really enjoy coming here. The staff is very tentative and friendly!! And the music is always good! I do Wish they offered a kids menu/kids size bowl. I honestly don't mind sharing with my little one but sometimes I end up eating my ramen cold because I'm waiting to see if my little one wants more Noodle/ or broth or tofu. But other than that I really enjoy coming here.“

“As a Hollywood resident of 12+ years, this is my go to spot when I'm in desperate need of a hangover cure. The soup dumplings (xiao long bao) are my go to when I wake up feeling hungover on a Sunday. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, shoutout to Mya and Ian! As someone who works in the service industry it was so refreshing to come in to such a friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone is on top of it and food and drinks came out so quickly! Definitely my number one recommendation for food if you're in Hollywood.“

“Dropped in on a whim for lunch yesterday and could not have been more wowed... my wife and I got their cheese and mushroom tasting menu which was extremely reasonably priced for the extremely high quality food and service we received. Despite the electric feeling of the open kitchen in the center of the bar, it never felt panicked or frantic. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by a manager who filled us in on their menu and the concept of the restaurant (fresh pasta shipped from Italy daily including eggs the likes of which can only be found there!). Then, an equally friendly and helpful server came and grabbed our order. After a few minutes, I was surprised to see one of the chefs himself whip around from working over a burner to plate our pasta for us straight out of the pan and present us with our first course (as he would continue to do for each subsequent course). He smiled saying, "Oooh, this is a velvety one! The pasta water must be really good today... You'll love this!" He seemed just as excited as we were. I also got a glass of vermentino to wash everything down, but I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes and other wines on their list. The entire experience just felt so passionate and organic in its approach to simple but perfected pasta dishes. The best part is undoubtedly the pasta itself, but it was a nice cherry on top to see this is a "no tipping" restaurant that charges a 16% pre-tax service fee... I assume this place just pays their workers what they deserve because DAMN they worked as a team flawlessly. I just love everything about this place now, so I highly recommend you go.“

“We’ve been to many, many Thai restaurants in LA and this one is about to become our favorite! We had 3 dishes and they all were absolutely delicious. The satay chicken appetizer was the best one we ever had. You gotta try it. The vegetarian papaya salad was so good with just the right level of hotness we asked for and the chow menu with tofu was so delicious we licked it off the plate. Service was excellent and the place is warm and fun to be in. Highly recommended ❤️“

“We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! I liked the seaweed, fish cake, kimchi radish, and bean sprouts.Specials #13 seafood pancake $19.99 - Good. Not overloaded with green onions. The sauce that came with it could have been saltier.Specials #9 chicken stew $25.99 - spicy! Chicken was cooked well. Lots of potatoes. The small bones are annoying.#22 stone pot bibimbap $14.99 - tasty. The ahjumma brought out a bowl of gochujang filled to the top. It was good and not too sweet.#9 chewy spicy noodles $13.99 - delicious. I'd get this again. Came with a soft boiled egg.Specials #12 stir-fried squid $24.99 - I'd get this again too. The rice cake was eh, but the squid was good. Not too spicy.Prices are a bit high, but so is everywhere else right now. The menu is extensive but has some solid favorites. They have a small parking lot in this plaza, so it wasn't hard to find at 7 PM on a week night. Typical of a local Korean joint, they post menu items with prices on the walls. “The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a local date night. We had a great time guys, thank you and we will see you guys again soon.“

“You know this is a good spot since the korean ahjummas and ahjussis flock to it. It was truly an experience eating here. The mandoo is perfect. I have no complaints. It was garlicky, gingery, incredibly flavorful, with a thin but chewy skin. The kimchi is the kind of bright red that you know just by looking at it, it will def not disappoint. And this is not even the best part. The best dish of all was the chicken kalguksoo. It’s the chicken noodle soup of your dreams, with an incredibly flavorful broth that feels healing as you sip it, and noodles perfected from a master. Will def come back again!“

“Came back from my vacation at Cancun and decided to stop by Niko Niko for dinner. I usually order a bento box but today after I saw they have a new happy hour menu I decided to order from that. The new updated happy hour gives very affordable prices. I ordered the 4piece beef Goyza which comes with spicy ponzu plus I ordered 3rolls which was Rainbow roll, Bake salmon roll, and lastly my favorite Hot night roll. Super delicious and fresh. “Best dumpling restaurant. Their dumpling soup with mandu is so good. Not only is the dumplings good, but there broth is very flavorful and has a lot of umami. Their frozen dumplings to go is also so good. I will never buy supermarket frozen dumplings again. I will just get the frozen dimplings here. The sujebi with sweet pumpkin dough flakes and perilla is sooo good. Highly recommend. The broth us very good and I love the crushed perilla seeds on top. The service is very good too. The ahjummas sit there in and hand make the dumplings. The variety platter of fried dumplings is also very good. Please support this restaurant. The food is amazing!“

“Found this place when in LA for the weekend and what a great find. Great menu selection, the Ramen was amazing, good vegetarian options also. Staff were very attentive and service was on point. They also have some great happy hour options on food and drink. Parking is a bit tricky as there are only a few spots outside, so you may have to look around the block for a spot. Will come back here on our next trip to LA, also it stays open till late so can be a great post concert spot also.“

“Such great Chinese food! I'm glad they're open on Tuesdays now. I usually get pick up for Chicken Fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, or Shanghai noodles. The food is always perfect and delicious. Today though... I ordered SnS Chicken and when I went to pick it up they had told me they are no longer mixing the sauce in because it gets soggy. I love it soggy!! And it's not even soggy. Just a perfect sauce mix ratio. So who ever complained about it being soggy... you just ruined it!!! I'll order it next time and ask that the sauce is mixed in.“
