“Had so much for fun sitting at the kitchen counter watching the talented chefs at work. Our waiter made excellent suggestions. And the food… well it was out of this world! Definitely going back .. so many more dishes to try!“

“A little loud but the good was amazing. Definitely go with the specials. I felt like they were stronger with appetizers than meals. Had a great special carpaccio with seeds and spices. Super flavorful. My favorite cover marrow was here and all it took was adding some greens and capers. Why don't other places do that?“

“Food was incredible. Entire team was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and friendly. One of the best dinners we’ve had in all our global travels. This is food made with LOVE. If we lived in Chicago, Jeong would be a staple restaurant for us.“

“Food was great, but service was lacking.Wait was quite long on the weekend, but that was expected. If I were to go again, I'd probably bring my own latte for the line, ha. But the maiz con leche was everything I hoped it would be. The longanisa was superb. I couldn't identify the spices, but it had such a different balance than what I'm used to in Latin cuisine. They have an odd ordering/seating system where you order at the front, pay, but then they don't sit you for a while, then they sit you, then they bring you out your food. They came by 4 times during our brunch to tell us that they couldn't find our lattes in the system. Not once did they ask what the lattes were. They eventually brought out the lattes as we were just finishing our meals (and obviously found them in the system since they brought out the right ones). Since we already tipped, I guess no incentive to do anything about the poor service. They didn't comp the lattes, they didn't bring out a little dessert, etc. like you might see in a any other restaurant.Obviously they need to make the ticketing system more accessible to their waiters or train them on it better.“

“Exceptional atmosphere! The live kitchen makes you feel as a part of a Bear episode with the chef plating and commanding “hands”. I tried the pana cotta. Overall I was surprised by the texture and olive oil addition made it feel more like a dip than a dessert.“

“Couple from Argentina here really pleased about our experience. Great general atmosphere and drinks. Perfect bar if you are looking for some nice background music and really good drinks. Amanda was amazing, learned a lot from her and her passion for mixology. Definitely a must visit if in Chicago and worth it sitting at the bar.“

“Higher end cuisine than I'd expected in Pilsen. You've got to admit, the neighborhood is changing, and hip restaurants are not rare there these days. We had good service, excellent wine available, and we made some really great choices. Nearly everything we ordered was excellent in our group of five. Glad we did the shared plates approach. The cornbread madeleines were so delicious, we ordered some to take home for coffee time the next morning. Another highlight was a mushroom dish. All of the vegetables focused selections were excellent. Our beef and fish choices were fine, but not as impressive. I wasn't a fan of the truffle oil dessert, but honestly it reminded me that my palate isn't as sophisticated as some others' are. What I expected was different than what we received. I tried it anyway, and it was too much umami and charred/burnt flavors. It tasted like it looked, so I know it was me, not the kitchen. We'd ordered several other desserts, and I loved all the others. I was more disappointed in myself that I didn't like it. Good decor, fits in well with the intended vibe. We found it somewhat noisy; perhaps if the (cool) music was turned down by half, it would be more conducive to friendly conversation. Lighting was a bit dim but not bad. Definitely have been recommending S.K.Y. They are inventive and enthusiastic. There's some room for improvement but I believe it will be truly great.“

“Oriole is a hidden treasure in the West Loop that offers an intimate and luxurious dining experience. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're at a private dinner party. Chef Noah Sandoval's seasonal tasting menu is a masterpiece, with each course perfectly balanced in flavor and presentation. The wine pairings are expertly selected to enhance the dining experience. The service is exceptional, making you feel welcome and special from the moment you walk in. Oriole is perfect for a special occasion or a sophisticated date night. It's a place where you can truly savor each moment and each bite.“

“Great place! The farmers market was a bonus! Enjoyed the exhibits , Calder was an inspiration in my youth! Lunch was superb! To bad we live in Virginia Beach or I would be a regular!“
“An incredible food experience from beginning to end. Upon entry, a new customer may question their choice by looking at the place. It is simple and plain. The staff is casually dressed and there is borderline loud music playing. It is obvious that this place is all about the food. Every course is well thought out, explained by staff and delicious. The music tapers off, the tables fill up, the wine (BYOB) flows, the apprehension among newcomers falls away and the experience becomes more and more fun. Enjoy a talented staff, superb service, creative courses and lots of fun!“

“Parsons is my absolute favorite place to go in the summer to sit outside with the dog, have some great frozen drinks and some yummy food. Sitting outside is like a huge barbecue, the awkward family reunion type. Super chill vibe, lots of people just having a good time and enjoying the sun. The fried chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, and hush puppies are amazing. If you have better restraint than I do and can eat your food slowly like a normal human being, he won’t leave feeling like you need a nap. Highly recommend the hush puppies she just wishes he could sit on the bench and drool closer to us“

“I was surprised that the ambiance of the restaurant was so much nicer than the presentation of the food.Everything tasted great, but not sure it really met my value expectations. All the dishes were served with no sides except the half roasted chicken. The presentation of the food was very plain and honestly boring. The truffle fries were particularly special as most reviews indicate.“

Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. We will definitely return with friends and recommend anyone to try it out! classy, but not snobby, cool decor, warm kind and accommodating staff, and great food and cocktails are just the cherry on top! try the carrot cake after your meal :) Thank you again to taylor and the manager again <3“

“i am so grateful for such a wonderful evening at lula cafe! i went with a friend last night and the service, the food, and the atmosphere truly were all five stars. the staff were just so lovely, it felt as if i'd been coming for years and was a cherished regular. we started with the baked feta and it actually came with more than enough delicious sourdough to enjoy it with. you ever notice how a lot of places will give you something delicious to dip, but you run out of something to eat it with? haha clearly lula cafe wants you to just eat and have fun - they take care of the rest. my main was delicious and the ricotta ice cream with chocolate and cherries? i could have eaten a litre. thanks again!!“

“One of the best experiences of my life. The Ever staff were extremely knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to chat with. I went for my birthday and they really went out of their way to ensure I had a memorable night. Just to top things off, they offered to give us a tour of the kitchen! I was in awe the entire night and could not recommend this restaurant enough. Of course it’s expensive, and we certainly had to save up for a while, but it was so worth it.“

“A not so hidden gem as of late now that reviews are catching up with the imaginative menu and exceptional dining experience Community Tavern has been consistently providing over the past several years. Menu is full of unique dishes… elevated dumpling and noodles are a signature. Beautifully plated and generous- but not overly. Cocktail menu is fun, with zero proof options that are spot on. Save room for baked Alaska. Oh, and ambiance is chic but allows the focus to be where it belongs. On the food. Upscale West Loop experience in modest Portage Park for a lot less and no pretense.“

“I've been to the other Etta location in river north (recently closed) but this was my first time at the Bucktown location. I like this one a lot better! The space has more character and sitting on the rooftop patio was so nice on a beautiful Saturday! We came for lunch around 1 and there was plenty of seating. They were still serving their brunch menu which has a range of brunch plates and their pizzas. We split 2 pizzas between 3 of us and it was the perfect filling amount! we got the Margherita and the wild mushroom and both were delicious, though we all liked the Margherita better. The sauce was so fresh and flavorful! I'd like to come back and try their pastas, as I enjoyed the brunch when I went to the other location previously. Definitely can't go wrong with Etta!“

“Last night, my girlfriend and I celebrated her 30th birthday with an unforgettable dinner at Roister. The evening was nothing short of magical, beginning with the Market Oysters that were delicately smoked and served with a tangy mignonette sauce. The shishito peppers, paired with a savory topping, were a burst of flavor that set the stage for the rest of the meal. Each dish was a masterpiece, not only in taste but also in presentation. The Pork Belly was succulent and perfectly seasoned, melting effortlessly at each bite. The Fried Chicken & Caviar was a surprising blend of down-home comfort and upscale indulgence, creating a delightful contrast. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Hearth Grilled Scallop. The cauliflower purée and fresh melon provided a sweet and creamy backdrop to the perfectly charred scallops. Following this was the Blue Crab with sofrito, which was a testament to the chef’s attention to detail and flavor balance. For dessert, the Butternut Squash Sorbet was a refreshing palate cleanser, and the Banana with pecan ice cream ended our meal on a decadently sweet note. Each plate was not only a treat for the palate but a feast for the eyes, served on beautifully curated dishware that enhanced the overall experience. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to savor each moment of our celebration. Roister has truly set a high bar for culinary excellence and a memorable dining experience. Five stars are not enough to capture the essence of our evening. We will definitely be returning!“

“The pretzel was very good! Light and fluffy on the inside. The brisket taccos were pretty good they have a decent kick of spice to them. Beer is good, staff is friendly. A 1 star deduction for getting my fiancé her flight but then forgetting my pint, and no napkins or silverware when the food was brought out. (This is a bit arguable as we were at the bar.)“

“As an Italian from Cleveland, Ohio, I have pretty high expectations for Italian food. Chicago has a plethora of good Italian spots, but DeNucci’s takes the crown for having what I consider to be the most “old world” and authentic spot that reminds me of home. I particularly loved how they have Cavatelli’s and Braciole on the menu, as it’s usually hard to find those items at Chicago spots. The sauce was great and the sausage and peppers was fantastic as well. We only got takeout, but I popped in to pick up the food and was impressed by the atmosphere and overall vibe. Will definitely be coming back asap!“

“This is my second time at Adorn and I continue to have excellent experiences at this restaurant. It's tucked away and quiet, helping the experience feel exclusive and sought after. The food and drinks are elevated, but approachable. I was excited to have new options to try with the same dependable quality as my first experience. I highly recommend and plan to return!“
“One of the best and cozy interiors. Good price for now. You will be more successful if you change the kitchen and go up the prices. You will change the kitchen, mainly the cooking and serving techniques. Your products are good. And you will conduct trainings with waiters. Otherwise, with such traffic, you won’t earn much.“

“Excellent food and magnificent service!!!!“
“The drink I had was excellent! The flavors blended together perfectly. The service was absolutely terrible for a place of this caliber. Waited over 15 minutes for a server to come over, ordered drinks and was advised that they were doing last call in 15 minutes at 11:30 (posted closing time was 1am). Server asked us if we wanted to close or run a tab. We left it open, another woman brought it back closed out at 1130 and told us it was too late to order anything else. The 2nd server was also missing a front tooth and seemed to be high on drugs or something. Questionable at best“

“I didn't have my glasses and couldn't read the menu so I asked the bartender to just make me something fruity. He made me a Cherry Blossom Gimlet. It did not disappoint. I'm also very basic when it comes to food, but I decided to jump out of my box. We tried the Szechuan Cucumbers and Lentil & Beef Kofte. Both delicious and both with ingredients I wouldn't normally eat. Everything was great.“
