“This is the best sandwich shop! You can tell the bread is fresh and the deli meats are freshly sliced. We ordered online for pickup and got a bogo deal through Uber Eats so we didn't have much interaction with the service. On the inside it's a little shop with a bar and limited seating. Luckily we live a half mile away because I will definitely be craving this. Pro tip: add banana peppers to the west sider.“

“Surprisingly good atmosphere! Went here for a first date and at least on tuesday it was a surprisingly romantic environment? Pretty low lighting and cool candle-y things on the tables, and quiet enough for a good conversation. Probably different vibe on a weekend. Solid beers on tap! And love the neon signs.“

“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.“

“My husband and I were in Chicago for a convention a couple of weeks ago. While I was getting ready for the day he was watching the news and says to me "we need to try this place". As y'all know from my other reviews he is a pizza perfectionist :) On the morning spotlight segment was this place called Whiskey Girl Tavern and they were talking how they are known for their hot honey pepperoni pizza and chicken tenders (which sell out).We didn't get to go to it that day and the next day we kept debating between that one and Robert's pizza which had been recommended. Well he couldn't get the image of their pizza out of his mind, so we hopped in a Uber and took the 25min ride to check it out.We sat at the best seat in the house ... the corner bar where we had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the best bar manager, Phil!! I ordered the Spill That Spicy T Margarita made with their homemade pineapple, jalapeño mix. It was the perfect balance.. of heat, sweetness (I don't do sweet) perfect touch of smoke from the mezcal and finished with a tahini rim ... omg I can't stop thinking about it!!!! To start we ordered the fried pickles which were the perfect size and lightly breaded .. delicious .Now the main event .. the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza. Let's talk about the crust which in our opinion will make or break a pizza. We love thin crust with a nice char , not burnt which is a fine line. We needed to be in that small 2 person kitchen at the end of the bar to see how on God's green earth they have perfected this pizza crust!! And who doesn't love cupped pepperonis? I personally feel these should be on every pepperoni pizza instead of those big greasy ones. I just can't say enough about how delicious this was!!!While talking to Phil my husband tells him how we heard about it and that we took the drive to check them out. Phil tells us we have to meet and tell the owners. We met Heather and Christina who were beyond thrilled and sweet to have us there. It's a small world bcs while talking with them we find out that during Covid they didn't want to be locked down in the cold and bought a place 30/40 minutes from us !! They opened the tavern about 2 years ago and just recently purchased the old pool hall next door. They showed us around and it was so cool with an old school vibe with some brown leather couches, pool table and a nice size bar that had just opened that day.If have read this far , THANK YOU! And when in Chicago please go check them out you will not be disappointed I promise!!I am sooo glad and sad that we found this place and believe everything happens for a reason. Glad bcs it was (no joke) the best pizza I have had in a long time and sad bcs I can't stop thinking about it now that I am back home in Tampa!! lolUntil next time“

“Please bring back the Ferris pop up! My husband and I were there on August 20th after the Cubs game. I returned with my sister on September 9 only to be disappointed that it was gone. Ferris was filmed at our high school and John Hughes the producer graduated with my sister. Thank goodness I took many photos when I went the first time. Bring it back!!“

“Margherita Pizza is amazing. Staff was helpful and very friendly. We are from out of town and found it odd we couldn't be seated at 10:30pm even though they were open and plenty seats available. App says they are open which is why we chose to eat here. We made it work and had to carry out. “I was in town visiting folks and friends for the weekend and ended up here yesterday afternoon. Katie and Chelsea were here, both super friendly, helpful, and professional. Makes it easy to be here and relax before flying back home (Chicago was home for me for 20+ years until March 2020...then I left for suburbia and ahome where I got more bang for my buck.I miss it here. Today I had a "lighter" lunch, meaning size, not caloric heh heh. I ordered the tomato soup, which came with garlic bread. It is basically a thick slice of Pullman bread that has shaved garlic that is very noticeable when the dish comes out. The soup was tasty, piping hot and I did eat only a little of the garlic bread because of my flight home and not wanting to get murdered by my seat neighbor for stinky breath. I LOVE garlic so I'll be back for this dish next time I'm in town and have time to clean up my breath after eating.So the reason I skipped most of the bread was because I saw that they had a sausage pizza puff on the menu. This was one of my guilty pleasures when I lived here. It's not a healthy item by any means, usually it's deep fried but I think this one was baked- wasn't super greasy (if it was deep fried then the chef crushed it and let it sit so the excess oil would drain....but I SWEAR in my mind this was not deep fried)It wasn't busy because there was no football on this weekend, and it was quiet enough to be able to talk with the friendly team working here. A really enjoyable time!Support small owned businesses! Thank you Katie and Chelsea for an awesome quick stop before my flight home yesterday. I already miss the people and the food. Down here in the south, guilty pleasure foods just hit different.I'd have taken photos but I destroyed the dishes so quickly so I am sorry. “Need to start by saying this used to be my favorite bar to come to, as well as sandwich spot.But ever since their renovations , the amazing bar (with the best regulars) is closed , and now all that’s open is a sort of “modern” looking cafe next door.The service is worse , more crowded , and empty and LOUD. “Had the pleasure to visit this place for lunch. It was a great atmosphere. I don’t eat seafood but this place was suggested. The food was delicious!!! The staff was friendly. And the owner Robert, was even there. He checked on us multiple times and was just very attentive to his patrons. Our Server Nicole was great also!!! I highly recommend the steak tacos!!!! My husband had the Crab Stew and hasn’t stopped talking about it yet. My sister in law said the lobster Mac was delicious. The wings and fried pickles were also a great appetizer. I live in Indiana but I will definitely be returning!!!“
