“Hi all! Yesterday we ordered three lagmans to take with us and were absolutely delighted!!! I've definitely never tried this before! It was truly amazing!!! The portions are large and I thought about not eating it all at once, but I couldn’t stop myself? Very nice service. We were treated to tea, and they also close at 9, but they waited for us for half an hour, thank you very much for that!? I’ll definitely be back ?“

“While the restaurant has closed they are operating as a food truck. Please check their Instagram to see their daily location. Lately they have been in bed stuy. This review is for my visit over the summer. We went on a Sunday and received the following: seafood mac n cheese; hot honey oxtail sliders; blueberry cornbread and the Cater 2 U which has salmon, shrimp and crab cakes. No complaints on the food, the portion size or the customer service. Everyone is always nice. I've only met the male owner during my visits and he is the best! Sad to see the restaurant go but happy to see that they are still making food. Definitely check them out when you can.“

“Super reliable spot, food is always ready within or before estimated time. Ordered online and to go several times over the past year. They offer a little bit of everything. Never had a bad experience, food is well packaged with plenty of sauces. They’re always busy with plenty of to go orders, but always welcoming and professional.“

“I was super skeptical to try this at first because it didn’t seem authentic but after i gave it a try i had to come back 2 more times because it was GREAT. Jerk chicken over rice is on top. I’d recommend this to anyone especially if you’re tired of a basic chicken over rice platter. Make sure to get their dragon sauce.“

“This is the best restaurant in Midwood in my opinion. The food is fantastic. Some unusual dishes that I have never had before as well as some old favorites that are made much better than anywhere else. Even the mango lassi is better than anywhere else. Don't miss the chaats and the butter chicken! The service is warm and incredible. And the owner is such a delight to talk to. I love this place! I'm so excited to hear that they are delivering during coronavirus epidemic.“

“I’ve eaten at this restaurant three times in person and once online via Uber eats and I can safely say the food here is excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the decor is pleasant, the food is affordable, and the area itself isn’t too bad. I must admit that It’s easy to miss if you’re coming here as it’s a bit small and hidden away.Me and my partner have personally enjoyed the Butter Chicken and Lamb Korma.“

“I really enjoyed it. I just got a mix gyro. Chicken was really good, so was the lamb, pita bread was fresh. Just wish they had green sauce. But the hot sauce and white sauce is good. Hot sauce is not too hot at all. Also they have tables which is great for when your hungry and it’s freezing out :) the guy was also very very nice“

“This was my first time trying Uyghur cusine. Lamb appears to be an integral part of their dishes. My Favorite was the langman noodles. hand pulled noodles with good texture topped with delicious meat and vegetables. Well balanced dishThe nan gusht A pan baked flat crispy bread stuffed with ground lamb. Had a fried dumpling like taste.Kashkar soup. Made of lamb meatball, sliced dough and vegetables. Looks like noodles but it's not. A comforting dish.Nan govurmasi. A type of toasted steamed nan bread topped with meat and vegetables. Bread was thick and soaked up all the gravy without falling apart. Super tasty dish served with bits of lamb and vegetables. There are a variety of nan breads in their cuisine bakes inside a tandoor ovenManty, a type of dumpling was great . The skin is a little thicker than a traditional dumpling. It was heavy and filling.Washed it all down with tea and compote a boiled and chilled fruit drink.Big thank you to Shakhzod who patiently explained and recommended dishes to us.Also had herring. It wasn't foe me, but my friend loved it.“

“Service and food was excellent! I got the combo over rice and it had a nice balance of flavors and textures. The meat had a nice spicy flavor that paired well with the creamy white sauce and rice. The vegetables had a nice crunch to them and helps balance out the soft textures of the dish. I would recommend this dish and get it again.“

“I visited De Tandoori Knight on a Saturday 4/6/24. I was dining alone. The customer service was excellent. The restaurant was small but very clean and organized. The prices were excellent and the portions were great. I ordered Chicken Korma with Basmati rice, regular Naan bread and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was creamy, delicious and not spicy. The Naan was good. I loved the Lassi. I had leftovers. I will definitely be returning. I am Puerto Rican and grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Growing up here there were no Indian restaurants. So happy to see more Indian restaurants now. I've been eating Indian food for about 20 years. To my Latinos try Indian food you might just love it. Not all dishes are Spicy. Visit this restaurant you may just love it like I did.“

“I MAY HAVE JUST FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE INDIAN RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK. Food: I had the Lamb Vindaloo. The spice had me sweating, but that's my favorite kind of spice. So packed with flavor and the lamb pieces buried in the curry was so juicy and tender. Delicious to dip some garlic naan into. My gf thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Korma as well. My mouth is watering thinking about a bite. Can't wait to be back. Service: Amazing service. Incredibly friendly and attentive. Checked up on us frequently to make sure we had everything we need. Ambiance: Cute little restaurant. Will definitely be back. They do delivery as well!“

“I was passing by the neighborhood the other night, and needed to grab some food as I was planning on working late. This restaurant showed up on my yelp search and was highly rated so I decided to pop in and give their food a try. The vibe here is mostly takeout, but they do have a few seats if you choose to sit here and enjoy your meal. Interior is very utilitarian, it's a main ordering desk with a salad station and the kitchen in the back. Cashier was friendly and helped me pick from their various menu options and suggested the chicken kebab. I asked for the Afghan rice with it because I am such a huge fan of fried carrots and raisins. Service was pretty quick, I didn't have to wait too long for my food to get ready and they were generous with the side sauces. I found the food really delicious, the topping of carrots was very well done, and the rice was fluffy without being too heavy or greasy, which I liked. The chicken kebab was perfectly cooked, it was not dry and I like the flavors on it although I do think that it could use a little bit more seasoning. For my taste, I did find the kebab a little bit on the bland side. Salad was good and the sauces complemented the meal very well. The white sauce was creamy without being too heavy and the red sauce was a good consistency and appropriately spicy. If you are in the neighborhood, come through and give this place a shot, they are definitely dishing out some amazing food.“

“I had a couple slices of pepperoni pizza last month here with low expectations and was impressed. Best pizza in NYC? No but up there with the best $3 slices in NYC. The bagels are handmade here and lovely as well. But on to the star of the show: the Indian food is great. Chicken Chaat was really spicy in a nice way, a medley of great flavor with some heat. Samosas were fresh and crunchy on the outside. Lamb biryani was delightful, not too herbaceous but well balanced and nice meat chunks.I'll be back soon to try the Indian fusion pizza! Can't wait.Update: the Indian pizza is the best. Why is this not a thing yet? It will be soon. The crust could be better but the flavors on all their pizzas are phenomenal. The chefs here are creative and care about the quality they put out.I just tried their bagels again and maybe I got a fresh batch but they are so much better than I remember. Soft and chewy with perfect flavor. Not very dense but I think that's a plus. Omar's is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. They deliver quickly and everything is great. We've ordered a dozen times from Omar's and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish is probably lamb korma. I hope they will offer a lamb korma pizza one day. I luv Omar's!“

“Decent halal food here with good portion sizes. The halal itself was older meat and bit more expensive than normal, but the pita bread was pretty well done. The Gyro was mainly lettuce too. Still a good spot for Halal though and there are many different options. The lamb could be better though, felt like it was warmed up in a microwave, but we did eat it at 3PM so ti could have just been some leftovers.“

“This restaurant boasts a cozy and immaculate ambiance. While the service may have been a tad slow, the servers' exceptional demeanor compensated for any delay. Despite managing solo, he displayed remarkable patience and attentiveness. The cuisine was enjoyable overall, although the kebabs were slightly undercooked to personal preference. However, the standout was undeniably the Somsa, arguably one of the finest in all of NYC.“

“Lokanta just opened up a few months ago. I always walked by, and i decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating and is well kept. I placed an order for pick up. I went with the mixed grill entree. It was flavorful and tasted charcoal grilled, which I love. The ambiance is alright. It isn't a dimly lighted restaurant but doesn't need to be. I will stop by again and try more of their food.“

“For my birthday I wanted to try somewhere I had not been but that had been on my to try list and Bedawi fit the bill! Having fallen in love with Arabic food in Jerusalem many years ago, I am picky about where I eat it. Bedwai did not disappoint! We ordered a Merguez (ground lamb) Platter and a Chicken Platter. Both the lamb and the chicken were perfectly grilled and flavorfully seasoned. The accompanying baba ghanouj was exceptional and the warm, freshly baked Jordanian style pita bread sealed the deal! The cafe is small and nicely decorated giving patrons, along with the arabic music being played, a sense of being in the middle east. Portions are generous and prices very fair. Highly recommend but get there at an off hour because they fill up quickly!“

“On a day when comfort food was the order of the day, Coney Island House of Wings really delivered. This was my first visit, and I will shout it from the rooftop that this is a business the community should support. The food is fresh and the selections of wing sauces make my taste buds sing. And don't sleep on the waffle fries. They're a meal. Lou, one of the owners, is wonderful to talk to,, and very generous and accommodating! I want to see these Bay Ridge brothers who are educators as well as entrepreneurs, succeed. Patronize and you will taste the good energies in the food.“

“Very delicious and clean food. Food comes out quick but not too quick so you know it's fresh and good quality. Pastries are pretty good too. Service is fantastic everyone is very attentive and kind and helpful. The only thing about this place is that it's a little pricey. Besides that, the food location and service is great so if you are past spending anywhere from 20-40 for a full meal then you can enjoy a great lunch. I don't drink anything besides water so I cant say anything about their drinks.“

“It's a great place for munchies. Their fries with cheese are really good but more than the food, it's a great place to chill for a bit. When it's crowded you only have 30 minutes to play video games but if it's dead you can be there for hours without anyone bothering you. It's pretty cheap and good quality for the price. This location is much bigger than the one on court street so even though it's further from me, it's worth the ride.Kid-friendliness: It's colorful, has game references around the venue, and of course tons of games for kids to play. It's a cool way to introduce them to old school games.“

“Some of the BEST chicken I had. I got the #3 which comes with a tender, slider and fries. The fries were great, about the size of ShakeShack Spicy Fries and taste very similar as well. The tender was MASSIVE and juicy. I got the extra hot and it did not disappoint. Usually fast-food spicy is mild but this thing lit my mouth on fire, which is saying something bc I am a spice addict. It also came with a side of white bread and 3 sliced pickles so that was welcome. The slider was just a chicken sandwich with a tender in between and was great as expected, I'd say better than a Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich.Overall great value, I was only able to eat the fries in tender in one sitting and I was stuffed. I paid $17.33 total with tax & tip.“

“The best chicken over rice ever. Love my Habibi guys. You guys are so good I always come back to you. I work for Grubhub, and I always stop in to get a plate when I need dinner. “I was drunk as hell ? got some chicken over rice with white sauce mozzarella sticks and a sprite. If your drinking don't get the white sauce it is a trigger for vomit as soon as I smelt it I kinda knew but obviously my judgement was empared. I fell asleep for a bit but they didn't bother me. I hopped up just in time not to mess up their lovely establishment but I lit the street and side walk up. ketel-one me-zero my g ?. The staff was friendly and open to Convo. The meal was good my stomach just wasn't ready I finished my meal in the morning. Chicken was seasoned well but you know me I put a lil more salt and pepper. The rice and fries were cooked well and the mozzarella sticks where ok. And the sprite was hitting as always. I'll go back if I'm on another liquor store hunt. Ps drink responsibly“

“We loved the food at Joloff! We decided to explore a Senegalese restaurant during our visit to Brooklyn. Given that the African continent comprises more than 50 countries, African cuisine is diverse according to the region of the continent. Senegalese food is a cuisine that stands out.Pay attention when trying to locate the restaurant on Bedford Avenue, you will only see the word "Joloff" in green letters on the glass in front. If you are driving it is easy to pass by.The restaurant features small tables covered with beautiful traditional West African fabric, and livens up the place. The service was superb, the waitress was attentive and very kind.We began with the fried yuka accompanied by a sauce and a hot ginger tea. The yuka sticks offered a delicate flavor, and the unsweetened ginger tea packed a punch. Since the ginger tea is unsweetened you have the option to add the amount of sugar you desire. The floating mint leaf in the tea added a nice touch. For our main courses, we chose Mafe Ganar – chicken stewed in peanut sauce with vegetables, served alongside jolof rice. The peanut sauce delivered a smooth balance between the peanuts and the vegetables.Another dish we tried was okra and jolof rice, which was well cooked and had a pleasant flavor profile. One thing to note is that Joloff has a comprehensive vegetarian/vegan section on the menu, a feature I have not seen in other African restaurants.Joloff restaurant certainly earns my mark of approval.“

“This place is one of the best halal spots in all of New York. Their chicken over rice is full of flavor and chicken doesn’t get chewy or dry. The rice is cooked perfectly and perfectly moist. The fries are a great touch to chicken over rice platter that I never knew would work so good. I used the pita to scoop the chicken and rice and topped it off with extra white sauce and that tasted magnificent. Their hot sauce also is a perfect spice level. 5/5“
