“Kiki's is one of those rare trendy spots that feels more cozy than pretentious, and while the food was a bit underwhelming, it makes for a good downtown date night. We went out of our way to visit this spot located in an old Chinese storefront within the nebulous borders of Dimes Square, and although packed, were happy to find a seat at the bar located in its second dining room across the street. Although arguably one of the city's most buzzy spots, the interior is hardly hip, and instead reflects a homey, lived-in Mediterranean vibe. We started out with a huge, medieval jug of their chilled white, and then settled on dinner. We started with their tzatziki and horiatiki, followed up by Greek potatoes, honeyed saganaki, and gigantes bean stew. Everything was fine, if not a bit straightforward, but nothing I couldn't get from most Greek taverna-style restaurants elsewhere. Regardless, the buzzy, young atmosphere makes this spot a scene.“

“Fantastic!! What a fun evening we had! Such a great neighborhood find. Started with happy hour cocktails at the bar. The cocktail menu is fabulous, the drinks were inventive, delicious, and presented beautifully. Bartenders were helpful, friendly, and made sure we loved our cocktails. Dinner was delicious! We were a group of four and shared a Greek salad, grilled octopus, lamb chops, and Branzino. Everything was incredible, with plenty for 4. Our waiter kept an eye on us and made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant is very attractive inside, had a nice crowd, and noise level was good even when very full. We will be back, and often. Prices are very fair. The staff here are really great, makes a difference!“

We opted to sit at the bar instead of our table, the bartender Vassilios was awesome with drinks and menu recommendations.We tried a bunch of appetizers- the tirokafteri and the octopus were our favorite (definitely get those!), but everything we tried was delicious. For dinner our favorite was the lamb chops which were outstanding.Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood and worth a visit.“

“Really excellent Greek place. This is the second time I’ve visited and I’ve been impressed on both occasions by the lovely food. The tuna-salmon carpaccio is gorgeous and so good I regretted having to share it. The ink risotto and the sea bass with gnocchi are both wonderful—the gnocchi is so crispy! And for dessert we had the orange cake, which is packed with citrus flavor. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.“

“I have been a fan of Souvlaki GR for many years . Prices are reasonable and food is excellent. Our favs over the years have been lamb chops, lemon potatoes , meatballs , Greek salad , and of course pita wraps. Today, after our meal, on the way out, I asked them to get me baklava as take out . I got home and I am stunned to see how small the portion is for $12 bucks . I know inflation is hurting everyone but I think this is such a shame . Very disappointed . Nyc restaurants are increasingly becoming obnoxious . Please be better .“

“We had the pleasure of dining at Eleni's Saturday night and it was a wonderful evening. The hostess Sren started the evening on a high note because of her warmth and friendliness. Unfortunately, my reservation had been lost when I did it on Google, but she could not have been more accommodating. She gave us a table that we could spend two hours at without being rushed. The grilled calamari, octopus, and appetizer of dips were all exceptional, as was the waitress we had. Both the waitress and Sren made a point of coming over during the meal to ensure that we were pleased with everything. The ambiance is lovely and is very inviting. I can't wait to return to this restaurant that truly values and appreciates it customers and makes you feel like an honored guest. Thank you to Sren and our waitress for a fabulous night out.“

“Really cute place! The food is always delicious but the coffee is not always as amazing. It depends who makes it. Also sometimes the people working there are amazing but that also isn't consistent...although I would say more often than not the people are great, the food is always good, but the coffee needs to be more consistent!“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat in the whole city. I come here sometimes with my baby and everyone is very nice to us and they’re very accommodating with space for my stroller even though the location is somewhat small. The food is delicious, you cannot miss the spreads. They are AMAZING. The vegetarian bowl and chicken souvlaki are also delicious. If you order coconut water they serve it fresh from a coconut. The staff is super helpful and very kind. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I love visiting.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and are very accommodating to children.“

“Pappas was amazing. The dj was great. The belly dancer was so fun. I came here for my cousins birthday and it was the best. I ordered the salmon and fries. Salmon was good a little small but still good. The drink I ordered was the first on the menu the martini the pineapple one. It was really strong not really good. They ran out of the evil eyes for the drinks but they gave us free shots. The waiters were all really nice and I just can't believe how many bad reviews this place got. I went on a Thursday at 9 pm and we stayed till 12:30 and they didn't kick us out. It was very fun dancing and I would go back.“
