“AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING STAFF ? ❤️Came here for a friend's birthday and had a pretty good experience. It was a set menu because of the number of people in our group. The appetizers were yummy but weren't a fan of the wedge salad because I don't like blue cheese, and they can't separate it from the dish, which was a bummer. The main course steak was delicious with a perfect medium rare ? for dessert it was apple pie and ice cream, which was a perfect match and great ending. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were super attentive. The only thing was that we waited quite a while for each dish of food, which made us a little annoyed because we were hungry.“

“My Friend snd I had wonderful lunch of soup and salad on 4/20, the second to last day Chez Olivia was open. With so many clients enjoying their cuisine, their greedy landlord should not have demanded such an unreasonable rent increase, causing them to close. Karina NYC“

“I went to a lunch with friends and found myself in a restaurant filled with an ongoing party - party members were loudly singing and later loud bag pipe music resounded We had made prior reservations but had not been told that there would be a party. We should have been told - we would have come at a later time. As a result of the party the staff was overwhelmed and the service compromised. I do not understand what the management was thinking taking reservations when they knew that there would be a party. We have been there before and have not encountered such a problem. The food and drink are very good Make sure to ask if there will be a party when you make a reservation. The place is too small to handle the noise of party goers and regular customers.“

“This very unassuming restaurant, that you can barely see as you are driving by, has some of the best quality food for brunch you could ever want and need. You can tell the one man chef show puts his heart and soul into everything he makes.I had the Nordic Benedict. Let me tell you. The light and fluffiness of the, what I like to call "Love bun" rolls that the, not porched, but fried egg was laying one created an almost spiritual lifting experience. Smoked salmon, to me, tasted like house made gravlax. The perfect blend of seasoning for the Benedict. And the Hollandaise sauce, was golden and perfect. $20I had a bite of the corned beef hash and potatoes, and it was also very tasty. The corned beef was seasoned right and it comes with a fried egg which makes the dish perfect. $20However, the in house homemade French toast was the most interesting and awesome dish I have tasted in a very very long time. The 6 "love buns" on a skewer, were served with maple syrup and this berry compote, that make you want to slap something, was an amazing addition to the dish. $20All of the brunch menu comes with coffee, tea or orange juice. For $20, I will be patronizing this establishment again and again.“

“All good things...must come to an end. I was a little saddened to find out the previous owners Jean-Luc and Lucette retired already. Our visits to this neighborhood gem are like going to friends' homes for dinner. We are going to really miss their smiles. It is their granddaughter Marie managing the place now. They should be very proud of how she carried on their legacy. On our recent visit, we had soup sampler (French onion soup, carrot soup, potato soup) and oysters as appetizers. All the soups were yummy good and the oysters very fresh. We had the quails and frogs legs as mains. They tasted great and good portions sizes too. My significant other especially liked the zucchini that came with the entrees. We took home our desserts (cheesecake and chocolate truffle cake) and opt for the special strawberry souffle. It is so gooood. The twilight menu also came with salad for less than $40. Specials are extra and our bill came out to around $120 before tax. It is well worth every penny. We also wanted to thank our lady server, too. She was attentive and friendly. Basically has a little "lucette" touch in her. Thank you !!“

“My partner and I have been coming to Plein Air since it opened in 2020. Back then, it was outdoor-only with a small but incredible menu. Today, it has graduated into one of my favorite restaurants, not just in Ridgewood, but in all of NYC. It feels like one of those little gems you could only ever find hidden down the side streets of Paris. The mornings offer a warm, cozy brunch with delicious coffees, fresh juices, and impeccable egg dishes; the evenings serve up an intimate dinner experience featuring new and delightful specials alongside elevated staples—the chicken and pork are among the best I’ve had anywhere—that pair perfectly with their well-curated selection of flavorful sides and other small plates. Oh, and don’t get me started on the Sunday burger! It’s fantastic. How Plein Air manages to pull this off in a space this size is nothing short of amazing. Whether you’re in the mood for a romantic dinner, casual Sunday brunch, or maybe just a good glass of wine with some fresh oysters, give this place a try. The wonderful food, service, atmosphere, and consistency will keep you coming back for more.“

“This was my second time that I've been to this restaurant. The first time was years ago, so I don't remember it too well. The second time was during restaurant week. I did the prefixed menu where you get an appetizer, entree, and a dessert for $35. I got mussels in white wine sauce with garlic, shallot, and parsley as an appetizer, shrimp scampi with linguini pasta as an entree, and key lime pie (with a lot of whipped cream) as my dessert. They didn't have the dessert that I wanted, so the key lime pie was the substitute. Everything was prepared in a timely manner, and it all tasted great. The servers were very attentive and were prepared to take on any and all requests. The place itself had plenty of seating, and it was a Saturday night. Reservations aren't necessary.“
