“ventured out to try this restaurant out! friend really craved for their chocolate cake so we decided to go :-). ordered tuna toast, duck fat fried potatoes, scallop crudo, ricotta gnudi, and their famous chocolate cake. my personal fav dish is the tuna toast, super light and flavorful. the potatoes and ricotta were a bit too salty for my liking, the scallops were delicious but the portion was on the smaller end. service was amazing! ambience was very nice especially on a warm, sunny day. a great date spot or just a nice dinner with friends :). all the dishes were shareable as well!“

My partner who doesn't even like truffle couldn't put it down. I recommend setting a reservation, we were fortunate to originally be seated at the bar, and then offered a table due to cancelations. Ambiance is very chill, low lights music playing but you're still able to have conversation. Staff is friendly Food was delish. We got -Steak frites, burger, Mac n cheese and French onion- and was not disappointed !!!“

“I'm a huge fan of Greenpoint and specific to this section of the the hugely popular area with up and coming dining and events. House is located in the back of a dashi store which has all kinds of Japanese bowls, textiles for sale. The experience was nice, the seating felt you were in a very intimate environment, seats facing the chef and kitchen at all times. The service was top notch and what I expected for a 2 course menu north of $400. The food, we had the 2 course menu, a sake flight, a sake flight B, a Kirinzan glass, a Nanbu glass and a Hakkaisan glass. The dishes had an amazing presentation and were tasty but honestly the flavors did not move me. Perhaps it might be a style where the flavors are really flat and balanced which I can understand but I was not overly impressed or blown away by any 1 dish. All in all, great service and great experience which still is within what I feel a 4 star rating.“

“The alcoholic pairing blew me away. The food, not so much. I can only recommend Restaurant Yuu if you love wine. For $180 you get to try 12 wine and sake with wildly distinct characters. Most of the bottles were priced above $85, with some being in the $250-300 range. Usually wine pairings are pretty bad value because only one or two stand out. The pairing here felt fully worth the money. Almost everything tasted amazing. Frankly, the drinks far outclassed the food in complexity of flavor and aroma. The food was much more about aesthetics than taste. Half of the food arrived lukewarm, perhaps from too much tweezer work. It was frustrating. Things were either not hot enough or not cold enough. There were glaring execution mistakes. It often felt like they were adding more and more components for quantity’s sake, but it did not translate to deeper flavors. The truly delicious dishes (asparagus, bread, sawara, squab, signature pithivier) were the ones with the simplest presentations that arrived piping hot. Though, looking back, the second half of the meal was really strong. It’s just that I sat through the first half hoping the food will get better at some point (which it did).In short, the drink pairing felt worth the $180, but it’s hard to justify $250 for the tasting menu when half the dishes were executed sloppily.“

“Got the cauliflower sandwich, the special hot chicken sandwich and the crispy potatoes. They were all really good and delicious. The chicken was crispy (wish it was a tad spicier), the cauliflower sandwich is amazing and my favorite thing from here (as a meat eater), and the crispy potatoes are always just solidly good. The ambiance though was a little chaotic feeling. I felt really claustrophobic in there, as if everyone around me was just a bit too* close together. The table arrangement felt strange. I get wanting to maximize seating but one table was in such a weird tight corner, one by where everyone walked by to the bathroom, and one had a plant where someone would be seated by the window? Also there were several 4-seater tables that just had a single person at them just reading or on their phones with a coffee while groups were waiting. I get that it's seat yourself/first come but it felt really inconsiderate as parties of 3 would awkwardly cram into/sideways into a 2 seater table while that was happening. I wouldn't come back to dine in for sure. But the food is delicious so back to take out exclusively for me.“

Pretty reasonable prices as well for the quality of food and flavor! We got the steak tartare to start, the cassoulet, and beef bourginon. The steak tartare was a refreshing starter. The cassoulet was a great cozy dish in a cold night. Great flavor that wasn't too heavy. The beef bourginon was also fantastic. The beef was tender and moist and came with a great, rich sauce. Wine options were great and paired well with dinner. Also loved that the water cups were made from old wine bottles. Very friendly owners and servers!“

We came for happy hour but they have a very limited happy hour menu (and were even "out" of the cocktail that I wanted) but I won't complain about that as there are great prices on the happy hour menu. “A Mixed Brunch Experience with Promise for More: During a casual stroll through Park Slope with our dogs, my husband and I discovered Brasserie Le Mistral and decided to give their brunch a try. Our experience was a blend of highs and lows that has left us curious about their dinner service. The French onion soup, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. It was on the watery side, lacking the rich, hearty flavor typically associated with this classic dish. The topping seemed more like croutons rather than the traditional bread, and the cheese lacked the fully broiled, melty characteristic that defines a good French onion soup. However, the burger was a different story altogether – it was impeccable. Cooked to perfection and brimming with flavor, it was the highlight of our meal and showcased the kitchen’s capabilities. Our server, a tall, white, young gentleman, added to the positive aspects of our visit with his charming and attentive service. Dining outside allowed us to enjoy some delightful people-watching, and having our dogs with us made the experience even more enjoyable.Despite the soup’s disappointment, the excellence of the burger and the overall ambiance have piqued our interest in returning for dinner. The promising reviews and the glimpses of potential we saw in our brunch visit make us optimistic about what Brasserie Le Mistral has to offer during the evening service. ????“

“I can truly appreciate the effort and intent in creating this #smallbusiness The space is handicap accessible. Orders are taken at the counter and food is delivered to the customers sitting at the table. My goal, as a first time customer, was to taste Le Paris black coffee. The condiments were not labeled. ME - an Aries Ram Black man instead of asking for help, I learned that honey and agave syrup look similar but taste differently. I didn't enjoy the coffee. In reflection I was not comfortable - it didn't feel like a safe place to admit mistakes and take up the resources to ask for a second cup of coffee made properly. (This is what internalized racism looks like in behavior. All the customers were visibly white and the staff are Black.)“
