“The food is great overall. Items tried were the seasonal kusshi oysters, dungeoness crab BLAT, smoked salmon avocado toast, and of course some cocktails. (Ginger pineapple and spicy Bloody Mary). The only things that in my opinion were not up to par was the dungeoness crab BLAT and the Bloody Mary. I am a traditionalist when it comes to dungeoness crab and believe that less can be more. This was a mix of crab, aioli, panko, and other seasonings which deterred from the natural delicacy of the crabmeat. It is a way to reduce the cost of the sandwich so I can understand the premise but I believe if it costed more and had more crab that was not smothered in other seasonings it would definitely be worth it. The Bloody Mary is probably 3/5 no thought really into the mix. Just kind of tomato juice tasting and even the help of the pepper vodka to spruce it up couldn't take me there. NOW for the good stuff. The oysters were some of the best in my life! Excellent pairings and worth every penny. Petit oysters are so bursting with flavor. I cannot even begin to describe how pleased I was with these. The avocado toast is what I had for brunch while visiting the establishment about 3 years ago and HAD to retry again. It has been changed from being served on a larger piece of bread to four small pieces but the elements are all the same and still delicious but I would be amiss if I did not mention I miss the old way of how it was served. I cannot wait to return“

“What a gem of a place! Best burger we've had in years. I used to work at a restaurant that had gourmet burgers, but they have strayed away from being true gourmet burgers.The Gourmet Burger Shop did not disappoint. I had the Pastrami and Swiss burger that had ample amount of pastrami on a burger with Swiss cheese, slaw and Russian dressing, it was out of this world!!!Gig Harbor is a wonderful place to visit and a stop at this little restaurant will help make your visit that much more memorable“

“my husband and I will go there about few times a year. this was my father in laws favorite place to eat every Wednesday with his brother for many yrs. Yesterday(July 21st) we ate there at approximately 7pm. very nice waiter we had. my husband ordered a Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. he indicated that that meat was very tough and rubbery. I tasted it and totally agreed with him. but that won't stop us from going there again. we did show up on July 16th(Sunday). had no idea you closed up so early(it was about 6pm)“

“Visiting Gig Harbor from Austin TX...stopped in for some ice cream at the place in the back. The vibe and atmosphere was so genuine, comfortable and had a sense of home. I didn't want to leave...I love this little place. We'll be back one day for a meal.“

“Pretty good burgers. I wouldn't say they have the best burgers in town but definitely worth checking out. Tons of options and reasonably priced, choose how small or large of a burger you want. Service is good and food is cooked to order pretty quick too.“

“We ate here tonight for the first time and we loved it. We got a pretzel appetizer, it was huge and fed 5 of us. Our food got there pretty quickly after we finished the pretzel. I got the bbq burger, I was just in the mood for a burger. It was the best burger I had had in a really long time. We came with 4 kids in tow, and sometimes that gets looks and attitudes, but we got great service!“

“We had a date night here and were absolutely impressed. The Beecher’s grilled cheese and butternut squash soup was a stand out. Both of our pasta entrees were phenomenal as well. The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. It was amazing and flavorful.“
