Oh wow.. Did I discovered a hidden gem?!?. This place maybe known for their curry & sate lobster noodle soup, but what attracted me most was their Curry Noodle soup on the menu. Not all Vietnamese restaurant can make this noodle soup perfectly, but wow, their curry noodle soup was superb!! Big soup bowl, the broth, omg, good hint of curry, not over powering, good balance of spice and umami!! Spacious restaurant and fast service. We never have to wait for a table at Saigon Rex, even for big group. I have been there many times. This time I would like I twist so I tried out their sweet and sour soup with fish fillets and vermicelli. The portion is HUGE, full of fresh vegetables. The soup is hot and savory. Pho here is pretty good. A little on the pricier end but not much you can do about NW area. They also offer the deep fried rice paper springroll which is not a common thing to find in Viet restaurants so I love eating that whenever I come here.Last time I went, I accidentally spilled my tea cup and they automatically saw and cleaned the mess without me even mentioning it. I even subtly spilt it while sitting in a corner and they still came! Outstanding service!
