We expected a little more than a slice of lettuce, a thinly sliced tomato, meat that looks like it came from a grocery store deli, and a sliver of cucumber.”

“Do not recommend! Refused to serve a family with a toddler. We waited at the door till 5 mins after the opening time before they finally opened the door and then told us they would not serve us as we had a toddler and they have no high chair. I said they used to have one and they said now it is broken. So I said that’s okay he can sit on my lap. They said no all the larger tables have reservations(there was not one person in the restaurant). I said that’s okay we can push the 2 smaller ones together and they still refused to serve us. It was just them making up one excuse after the other till we finally conceded and just left. It’s too bad because I’ve enjoyed their food in the past but the service has always been terrible.”

“I am so glad we found Blue (Flame) Fire! We love the atmosphere, the food is delicious and the owner is very kind and helpful. I've been to Darjeeling for a trip years ago, and this resteraunt takes me right back, but this food is better! No chewy meat, ha ha! So far everything we've tried has been very flavorful and very affordable. Sorry all you other Medicine Hat resteraunts, I'm sure you're good too, but I think Blue Flame is our new go-to.”

“Our experience at the restaurant and the Clarion Pointe hotel was excellent !! . When we arrived last Friday we were welcome by Delfy and Piyush. They are problems solving people and we felt no issues at all , the bedroom was clean and comfy ... inviting for the next opportunity that we plan visiting Medicine Hat. The Cliff restaurant & Bar is connected internally with the hotel which is really convenience in winter time. We ate at the restaurant, food was really good and the waitress attention was top notch , friendly , attentive and paying attention to details . I also like a lot the renovation style , combining the new colors with the old stylish furniture. I highly recommend the food , good price and generous portions. If you are planning to visit Medicine hat , don't hesitate to stay in the hotel Clarion Pointe and enjoy the food at the restaurant.”

“The food here is very good!! 7 for a family dinner… so a wide variety of meals selected. Appys for the table included deep fried pickles and potato skins. 3 people ordered pasta dishes… no complaints portions were large and the sauces were good (alfredo, bolognese and pesto) I had a steak it was cooked medium well and it was perfect, one person had ribs falling off the bone with a good bbq sauce. The steak frites did not go over well, if she was to do it again would either ask for it to be cooked medium or as medium well was too dry. The restaurant is nestled in the coulee, grounds are beautiful as it is with most golf courses. We were there in the early evening. The large windows need a good cleaning tho to really make the view spectacular.”

“The coffee was great, the croissant was on the pricey side. $22 for two small americanos and a ham & cheese croissant. Once the tip was on it came to about $26. We were also taken back a little by the request for tips, yet our order was just called out. We were sitting right there, so it was a quick get up (not the end of the world) but when a request for tip is made, the least that is expected is a service to tip, know what I mean? If I wanted walk up coffee I would have just gone to Tim Hortons, where I don’t tip. And if it’s a matter of your employees making a liveable wage, perhaps they should be paid better.”

“Me and my kid went to get lunch at the Medicine hat Pizza. I myself ordered a Donair light on lettuce. For my son he ordered a Donair Poutine from the fries menu. We got it to go and waited about 20 minutes for our food. The wait was well worth it as they had friendly and caring staff. Once served we both are when we got home and it was one of the best donairs I've ever had. My son said the same thing. I would totally recommend going here as a nice family restaurant.”

We don't care for smoked sausage, so we request extra pepper, extra garlic and it is always perfect. Their other meats are very good quality. Just eat some place else first.This is a but if a hidden gem so I do not want to extol all of its virtues. But this joint is worth a try.It’s a beer connoisseur heaven.
