“I don’t even know another place to get gelato in Birmingham, but Cannella seems to have a pretty consistent menu. Haven’t seen too many seasonal flavors, but I’m impressed with how creamy the lemon sorbet is without any dairy it. If you go there and ask how they do it, they might just tell you their secret!“

All I can say is that after taking a bite of the apple danish I wanted to go back and get 5 more. The danish was so buttery and the cheese and apple filling complimented the danish perfectly. “Oh my goodness! Best churros I've had outside of Mexico! My friend and I ordered the Bavarian cream and Dulce de Leche churros. Churros were crispy yet soft and warm. The fillings were just right, not too sweet but tasty and very satisfying! The owner was very friendly and shared some history of her business. Churro Station is very classy, clean, and well organized. Definitely worth the trip from Trussville! We're coming back for more and will try the ice cream and coffee. Give them a try and you'll get hooked!“

“The food was great... The only reason why I gave a 4 for service is because they forgot to skip the onions on my bacon cheddar cheeseburger. And I gave them a 4 for atmosphere because there were only 5 customers including us there at 230p so I couldn't really tell how it would normally be when it was busy... Overall I will definitely be backParking: There is not a drive thru so you have to park somewhere. Well, there is not much room around store for parking and NO BiG vehicle will fit in the parking lot next to location downtown. The parking shared by everyone around location only has about 30 spots and then there are another 20 spots on street, some free and some with meter. There are 7-10 food choices in block for dining so it can be tiredsome to find parking but going during off peak times would help..“

“The milkshake was delicious and the young lady who made it was a shining star amid what would have been a very bad experience. She's a beautiful soul and even placed the additional tip I gave especially to her in the collective tip jar. However, when you pay $9 plus tip for a 9oz milkshake you expect the previously happy and talkative young man ringing you up to at least pretend he went to customer service orientation, especially as I was the only customer. Still, he is a hard worker and was wiping down the counter after ringing me up. He returned to his happy and talkative self once I began to walk away. I'm just very conflicted about the entire encounter. I think he was just having a bad day.“

“Knowing the controversy about this place, I had to come check it out for myself. All I can say is that it truly was a 5 star experience. Truly the best sorbet I have had in a long long time (and huge portions, you can easily share 6oz between two adults). The espresso was phenomenal as well. The bathroom was the cleanest public restroom I have ever been in.If you are vegan/dairy free, they have oatmilk (oatly) for coffee, and several flavors of fruit sorbet. The lovely gentleman serving gelato this morning informed me that the dark chocolate gelato in the case is actually dairy free chocolate sorbet. It is divine. “I picked up my take out order. I told the staff I needed the strawberry shake. I was told a couple minutes later it was in the bag. I checked and I could see the top of the cup so I left. Got home and it was vanilla. My husband ordered the hot ones burger and there was a quarter size of sauce in the middle of the top bun. His burger was basically dry. My bacon burger was cooked too long, part of it was not edible because it was hard as a rock. This was my first time coming here and I don't plan on returning.“
