“Costra taco was one of the best we had during our stay in PHX. The dark salsa that came with the chips was also fantastic. We ate in a group of 8 with a kid so we were worried we wouldn’t find room but we did and it was great. There were high chairs.“
“You won't regret getting food here! Fantastic food, large portion sizes, friendly service! My favorite might be the nachos. The queso is insane! Even if you're a meat eater, you'll think the food is amazing.Vegetarian options: This is an all vegan restaurant!“
“Excellent quality of food ah super affordable price, totally recommended, Jaquelin was super helpful all the time with all the questions I had, 100% recommended, I love that for several dishes you have the option of grabbing cooked shrimp or aguachile shrimp. Excellent to come and share with family.“
“The best tacos, im obsessed and want to go all the time now ? the margaritas are great too! Plus the owner/family that run this place are the nicest people, always friendly and welcoming. If you haven't eaten here definitely try it, you won't be disappointed!“
“I did order the vampiros. It was so salty It was unedible. I love salt BTW but this was overkill. I tried the birria taco and it was a 7 out of 10 I give it. Now the carnitas burrito my boyfriend got was Execellent! It was huge, delicious and the reason we will return. They also make great beans that are self serve if you order like a dollar amount. I will absolutely go try some more.“
“Me and some family visiting from out of town went yesterday for happy hour. Great pricing and awesome quality food. Leaves hope for some still fairly priced Mexican food with good flavor in Arizona . Would definitely visit again and again!!“
“I’ve been vegan for almost 12 years. Slowly there have been restaurants that are plant based, but I’ve never found good vegan Mexican food, until now. A colleague and I ordered here and we’re absolutely amazed at how delicious and fresh it was!!! She’s carnivore and loved it. I’ve found a new favorite spot for sure!“
“Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. I can't name some of it but the meat tacos and appetizer with mushrooms and cheese was delicious. I also found out after we left Will Ferrell stopped in for a bite. Don't be fooled be the outside, and parking can be difficult, just be patient you will find a place. Salsa for chips was also very tasty.“
“There was a wait to be seated so I sat at the bar. The servers quickly took my order and made sure my water glass was full. I had the traditional carnitas tacos on their house made corn shell. It was flavorful and juicy. The chips and salsa were also top notch. Delicious!Dietary restrictions: I am gluten intolerant so I appreciated the option to choose a corn taco shell.“
“I had the Chile Relleno plate with green and red sauce. It was fantastic and a huge portion size. I had the cucumber drink and it was extremely refreshing. Sara was a sweetheart and took great care of me while there. I will definitely be back to try the tacos ?“
“Great breakfast burritos, and excellent tacos! This is the closest I've found to a traditional SoCal taco joint. The staff is very nice and while the menu is not as fancy as some higher end places, the food is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Chile Rellenos. Well done! The hole in the wall space feels appropriate for a great taco meal!! Clean and you can tell the owners have pride. Well done!“
“Woooooooooo! First time visiting on 11/29/2022, for Taco Tuesday... Have mercy. This place is legit, they give "Street Tacos" a whole new meaning. Everything is made fresh to order, right in front of you! For my first time... 12 Tacos (3 Pastor, 3 Carne Asada, 3 Carnitas, and 3 Shrimp) and Carne Asada Quesadilla. "You read what I said"!!! Needed a wheelchair to get out the door! WORTH IT! Big Sid has a new "Taco Tuesday" Spot... Don't Believe Me? Then come see me... "Until Next Time America"! BIG SID BAY BAY!!!!“
“Highly recommended! This was my husband's and I first time here and all I can say is AMAZING! Not only was the food very fresh and authentic, but the service was great. We were blessed to meet Irma herself. She is a lovely lady and is so sweet! No doubt, we will definitely be back again and again. Thank you Irma's Kitchen, thank you❤“
“Probably the best Jamaican food anywhere in the country… and I’m from NYC and eat in Jamaican in Flatbush ALL the time! Delicious jerk chicken (and pork, which I’ve never seen, but it works incredibly) and oxtail, plus tons of extras and desserts that round out the experience. Supremely hospitable mom ‘n pop team running the place as well. Do yourself a favor and eat here as soon as you can! 11/10“
“STELLAR. You're gonna have a hard time finding a place that has better chips or better tacos. Salsas too! Amazing service and ambiance. Very clean! Very nice patio with a projector screen playing sports and stuff. Check this place out!“
“The food looks just like the pictures on the menu and tastes even better! Everyone in my family is picky with something and we found food for everyone, highly recommend taco Tuesday! Everything is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is clean. The drinks were a nice unique variety, and the outdoor seating was comfortable and cool. (Oh course it’s April though lol)“
“Taco Central has great food, consistently good and for a reasonable price. My wife and I happened by this place on accident their first day and became their 1st customer. We continue to visit them about every other week. Everyone is super friendly.“
“I discovered this place thanks to a review on TikTok by Keith Lee, and it's conveniently located just 8 minutes away from me. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and professional lady at the front desk. She had an infectious energy that made me feel welcome. For me, good customer service is just as important as the taste of the food, and they definitely nailed it in that aspect. Now, let's talk about the food. When I say I want tacos, this place delivered exactly what I had in mind! They are incredibly generous with the amount of meat in their tacos, and they look absolutely satisfying. The taste? It's simply amazing! I particularly enjoyed the carne asada and chicken tacos. I also tried beef tongue and head for the first time. While the tongue wasn't too bad, I couldn't help but feel a little squeamish about eating cow head. The tongue was juicy, tender, and had a great flavor, but the head wasn't my cup of tea. I just couldn't get past the visual of a cow head every time I took a bite! Despite that, it was still a fantastic experience that I'll definitely repeat. If you're looking for a great deal, Taco Tuesday is the way to go. They offer half off on tacos, and they are incredibly affordable. I absolutely love this place!Parking: Parking is convenient and you can park right in front of the place. It’s also has other great options around to shop as well.Kid-friendliness: Very professional kids would love it here especially if they love tacosWheelchair accessibility: It has a sidewalk where a wheelchair can easily access“
“Came here by chance and had a great lunch. Our server was Ally(?) and she helped with some recommendations. For drinks I had Dos XX’s ? and water. I started off with guacamole that was very good; and complimented the various salsas they brought out with chips. Enjoyed them all. Then I went with the lamb ? taco on a flour tortilla. Generous portion served. The meat was very tender and juicy too. The side of corn was very good as well. The meal was filling, but not so filling that I couldn’t try the rum cake with ice cream and caramel sauce. That, I couldn’t finish; so I took it ‘To Go.’ I’ll definitely return as my friend had the cherry beef that he says was better than the pulled pork. Great time sitting outdoors on the small patio area.“
“Driving through the area on vacation and stopped in for lunch. Hands down the best quesadillas I've ever had. Tacos were all incredible but the carne asada was our favorite. Fantastic salsa and guac bar. Staff are all friendly and genuinely welcoming. Dining room and bathroom were all markedly clean. Don't skip Tacos Calafia!“
“I love this place so much. The guy who works on Thursdays gives the BEST service. I love the food. I love the environment. The customer service is crazy good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!Vegetarian options: They have a whole vegan menu!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly and vegan friendly!!!!“
“These are the absolute best shrimp tacos on the planet. You read that right. It’s not hype or fanfare. I am a career foodie and cook. Food trucks are sorely overlooked. Shrimp are fried to utter perfection. Crispy, golden battered heaven on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside with tangy slaw, crispy cabbage and not one but two choices of chipotle sauce.(mild and spicy) Take it from me and get them with mozzarella cheese. They toast the cheese on the tortilla so that there is a crispy brown coating on top and melted, cheesy nirvana underneath. And for only $4 a taco, the portion are quite ample. Tacos are HUGE and they do not skimp on the shrimp! The owner and his family were sitting near my table and they saw my face when I took the first bite. He told his family, “Now that’s the face you wanna see!”. Places like these remind why I love food so much.“
“This is hands down the best Mexican fast food restaurant in AZ. I moved to Phoenix from San Diego where Roberto's in Ocean Beach is king, but this Roberto's is a very close comparison. The carne asada is always juicy and tender and flavorful. The tortas rock so hard that I have to Bang My Head every time I eat them. Which is after!“
“Cathy the owner is super friendly. Staff as well. The food is addictive! A green chile or Red pulled pork breakfast burrito is AMAZING! Have to get a few extra salsas for a few cents more but it is worth it! I'm salivating just typing this review up. Must try! You won't be disappointed! You'll wonder why you didn't come here sooner.“
“Holy smokes this place is great. I arrived here just before close and an elderly couple (guessing the owners) treated me like familia. I got the ahogada which is a pork torta smothered in salsa. I asked the owners what type of chilis they use and they told me chilis de arbol. Being from the northeast, I had never had a culinary experience quite like this. So spicy but so delicious. This place is a MUST try.“
“The small guac appetizer (pictured) was $8 yet was the size of a small salsa dish; the price does not match the serving. The churro sundae had the largest scoop of ice cream and a lot of whipped cream but half of two churros, not two full churros. All 6 of our tacos were different and delicious, as were the chips and salsa and cocktails, and service and the vibe were great.“
“Went in on 4/20 and man. Parking was damn near impossible. I honesty think it may have been because of 4/20 at cheba hut. But maybe wrong?Parking either way is limited since it’s shared.Food is ? (I’m craving them again just writing this. ?)Service was great and quick.Salsas are all amazing and serves all taste buds.Price point seemed normal. $38 for 8 - carne asada tacos and 2 bottles of coke.“
“Hands down the BEST Mexican food. The food is fresh and full of flavor. Everything we've tried has left us wanting more. Every. Time. There has never been a bad experience whether it be with food quality or customer service. They are consistent. And the chicken? I don't know what they season it with but babyyy - it's a 10/10. Customer service is great, food is affordable, building is clean. We will continue to come here.“
“Just went today (9/18/23) for a Sonoran hot dog and was very glad we stopped here! We really liked the food, options are great, and they have Mexican cocas! Cant beat that! Didnt get the servers name but he was totally nice, he had a friendly personality and warm smile!“
“Great food and a very clean place, easy access with a good parking space, restrooms are impecable and there is a lot space for indoor seating as well as outside. Perfect place to bring your family. The menu is great, they have a good variation of tacos and quesadillas, the birria is great and the quesabirrias are amazing, they a also have tacos de chicharrón and cabeza. I really recommend this place.“
“Came here with my wife’s family. They kept hyping up the gorditas and I was not disappointed. The Gorditas and tacos are delicious. Not sure if the tortillas are made by hand but they were very good. Portions were generous to say the least but I only tried asada and pastor. Highly recommend if in the Phoenix are.“
“The two ladies behind the counter were so welcoming and friendly, felt like I was getting dinner from my Tías. We had carne asada tacos and the bandera burrito with rice and black beans, everything was excellent. They have a salsa bar and the serrano salsa was delicious! We also had horchata and it was just how I like it, not too sweet. They had good music playing and a casual environment that was family friendly. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Fun decor and casual atmosphere.“
“Delicious tacos! I tried the Birria tacos and they were amazing, the horchata was great too. We came late at night and it's that area in Phoenix the so there were some homeless, they didn't bother anyone but I don't recommend bringing children after dark. There is a tent and a heater which we appreciated. Plates came garnished with cucumber and radishes ?“
“I tried their cheese enchiladas with red sauce and a side of rice. The rice was ok, but the enchiladas were amazing! The sauce was delicious and came with a drizzle of what I think was sour cream. Most Mexican restaurants will serve enchiladas with soggy lettuce that is usually warm, but not here! The enchiladas came with a chilled mix of fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro and it was perfect with the enchiladas! Super friendly service as well!“
“THE best tacos we had while in Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cornville, Sedona, Jerome). Parking lot grill set up and sitting under a neon sign on a plastic table outside of a cake shop? Heck yes sign me the heck up. Also be forewarned that their drink sizes are GIGANTIC lol. None of us could finish ours and we could have shared one or two drinks between the three of us. That being said the pineapple agua fresca and horchata were delicious. Highly recommend the Lorenzo tacos and the quesadillas“
“The chimichanga enchilada was SOOO GOOOOD the best I’ve had in a while. The food was HOT, and fast and the man behind the counter was so nice and gave us so many extra sauces hahah. Their cakes are pretty good too, we always order here for family birthdays.“
“Where do I start??? first of all it's beautiful in Phoenix now and they do not allow you to sit outside with alcohol!! 2nd of all their staff has huge attitudes.. 3rd of all very over priced for what you get. tacos are better at Cafe Rio for less and twice the size. 4th their furniture is very cheap looking and sitting, like folds ups you take to a football tailgate. Last but not least over priced, awful maragaritas We will not be back!!!“
“This was a 10/10 experience. They were some of the best quesabirria tacos I've ever had. Meat was well cooked. Consume was amazing. Beans were pretty good too. Best part was all the free toppings they had including cabbage, onion, cilantro, pickled onions, radish, lime and salsas. Service was helpful and food came out extremely quick.“
“My FAVORITE go to for the best Mexican food! Highly recommend the green chili burrito. I haven't met a soul who didn't love it. Service is always great and they have a solid team that has been there years! This location is so cute too! Great patio“
“Best tacos in the us for sure. The meat was incredible. Arizona has a lot of tacos but none more authentic than this. The ambiance says it all. Some of my favorite songs came on. The staff was INCREDIBLY NICE. I felt like family. Can I come back every day?“
“If you're looking for a new mexican spot, then this one is it. I ordered the Burro Tatemado, and it was delicious ?. The only thing is they didn't add enough cheese to the burro. Place was packed the two times I went (and yes, I ordered the same thing both times). I just wanted to confirm my recommendation. The place is clean and the staff is nice. A good little spot to end a Friday or Saturday. Please let me know what you think. I will be back and will make sure to take pictures for you visual lovers like me.“
“I was impressed by the amount of people that they had working in order to provide better service to the customers. All the employees were very polite and seemed happy. The food was good. We ordered the meat by the pound. We also got quesadillas which tasted good. Pretty clean inside. We did not check out the restrooms.“
“We came to this location with friends that are very frequent visitors. The food was pretty good, but it definitely felt a little too expensive which is why I gave that four out of five stars. The Democrat was delicious, but paying more than four dollars for it felt crazy. The salsa was fairly good for the tacos, but we regretted buying extra for our chips. We would likely get the queso if we decided to get chips again…. But we are going to have to save up if we want to eat here again haha! The largest reason we had a great experience at this location was the manager on duty. Our nine month old knocked half of our food on the floor before we even fully got sat down and situated. The manager on duty didn’t skip a beat on helping us get things cleaned up and the food replaced. For new parents this was a moment that made our experience. We weren’t treated as a nuisance, even though we felt like one.“
“These are easily some of the best tacos I’ve had in AZ. Drinks were also very good. We ordered the crispy lamb, pork belly, Korean fried chicken, and the strip steak.. they were all amazing. We also got the taco of the week (lobster) which was great too. The guacamole was also very fresh! Will definitely be recommending to friends in the area.“
“We saw this place sever times on the drive home, and damn have we been missing out. Delicious, they have a shrimp wrapped bacon made Sonoran hot dog style, hot dogs Wednesday-Sunday and tacos Monday and Tuesday, staff is friendly and the coolers keep it cool even in the heat. When you order tacos, they lso give you a plate on the side with the toppings. Thse guys totally know what they do! The menu is authentic and the price is really great. The music was on point and not too loud. I recommend this place.“
“Best tacos and Burritos hands down! Family owned and they love to greet all their guests! They go above and beyond for everyone that comes in! We love them so much that we have them cater our company Christmas party! If you are looking for authentic Mexican, this is your place!“
“My partner and I of 9 years have been coming here since we've been together and we love it! I can guarantee you this place is excellent in food and service, even with the language barrier the ladies are always so patient and nice ? and always always leave them a good tip “
“It’s a food truck but the food will not disappoint. Their surf and turf tacos are by far the best ? The tortillas are just crispy perfect. They are stuff just perfectly with shrimp, carne asada, cheese and salsa. I wish they would stay open until 11pm.“
“Tacos Tacos and more Tacos!! Simple street Tacos alot of meat ,good options at salsa bar! There Tortillas could be better a little on the chewy side ,Ordered 2 Asada 2 Pastor the Asada was good ,good flavour the Pastor seemed a bit on the Salty side ,again with a good tortilla would of enhanced the flavor, all in all a good late night Street taco ,there Horchata and Jamaika were on point !!?✨️“
“Post gym meal went cray cray fr. The torta with al pastor was very good only wish they’d put more pineapple but regardless still very good. The champurrado was very delectable and creamyyy??. The service was top notch felt very welcoming and homey. A good experience “
