“Have been going here for years and thought I would finally write a small review. I come from Vancouver and have had a lot of Japanese from various places all over the lower mainland. Although in comparison Lakeside is on the pricier side, the quality and service are excellent and it stands in my top 5 for Japanese cuisine. A favorite of mine is the veggie roll, it's hands down the best I've had.”
“Amazing Quality Friendly and Fast Service LOVE LOVE LOVE”
“Pretty Good. The muffins are massive and a pretty good price considering. The staff are friendly, but you need to ring a bell to summon them. There is an accisble entrance but it it not by the door to the market cafe. The door the the patio is level, but there is a single step between the patio and the sidewalk. There is bike parking.I think there is a bathroom but I forgot to ask.”

“Well went to subway in lake Cowichan today wow was so disappointed with there dippers 2 thin slices of peperoni in a hole wrap no cheese really. The salad was a complete mess and tones of wrong stuff added. Same with both subs my daughter had the meat ball sub with nothing on it came with that huge chunk of cheese and bunch of other stuff and same with the other sub.”

“It was alright. Basic diner food, priced a little high, but what isn't these days. Decent amount of food for the price though. Their menu is quite large and pretty diverse. I can't speak to all of it, but I pitty the cooks. The old saying "Jack of all trades, master of none." may very well apply. If they're going to give you water they should at least have it chilled or with ice. Cuz who wants room temp tap water on a hot day or any day for that matter?
There's not too many options in the area so I would eat there again, but if the service was the same I wouldn't be back a third time.”
