“Have had sandwiches and baking during the day before and all was wonderful. The porchetta sandwich was ahmazeballs. Finally got in for dinner tonight. Absolutely top shelf experience. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.”

“Deep Cove Chalet is a special place for our family, where we periodically gather to meet and celebrate great meals with a life-long friend. It is truly unique: a stunning setting with gardens on waterfront, delicious and creative food that’s masterfully executed, a deep wine list that’s accessibly priced, and outstanding, friendly service.
There are so many excellent dishes on the menu but the hot avocado salad, laden with seafood, is a must, and the catch of the day always gets rave reviews. Leave room for a desert soufflé if you can.
We’ve always walked away so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this gem, easily our favourite restaurant in the province for upscale dining.”

“The buffalo chicken wrap here is the best wrap I’ve ever had from an airport. Tastes good and loaded with chicken throughout. Muffin was fresh, moist and good as well. My kids devoured it.”

“When we arrived and picked up our menus, they were brunch menus. We waited in line to order and got to the front of the line to order just at 11:00. We were told it was now lunch time. We went to the Five and Dime instead.”

The atmosphere was relaxed but still special, the kind of place you'd want to bring a friend or loved one for a treat. Overall, it was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. “We had an amazing experience at the Alpina Restaurant. The restaurant is well appointed and the view is stunning (even with some rain and clouds). The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the beet salad) and we enjoyed literally every bite. Both our servers were very good. It was fine-dining level expensive and worth every penny. Was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend!”

“Absolute best shop in sidney. Iv tried 8 or 9 different scones so far and every one of them has been incredible! Their bubble tea is fantastic and the whole vibe of the shop makes my day everytime.”

“Very impressed with the whole experience. Reagan did a great job of passing on interesting information on their brewing and distilling process and kept it fun and engaging throughout. Our group was quite surprised by the quality of their whiskey products. We bought two bottles and will be purchasing more in the future. I can't recommend this activity enough.”

“The coffee shop at the Butchart Gardens is a decent spot to grab a bite and have a drink of coffee.

It wasn’t something spectacular, but it got the job done. Me and my girlfriend needed a little bit of energy after the ferry ride to the island, and this did the trick.

My main complaint though? It is pretty expensive, considering the already high price of entry to the garden itself.”
