I absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed at a hotel up the street so we walked here. We’ve been here a few days and have been doing a bit of a sushi crawl, and have tried several other places in the area, and THIS was the best by FAR. Their tuna sashimi was excellent, their miso was perfect, and every single ingredient tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was unbeatable. My knowledge of decent Japanese cuisine is limited to a 15 days long trip to the country itself and this was the closest experience I had since visiting Japan. Fish quality was above and beyond and everything was served fresh. You would probably pay 3-4x times more if this food was served to you in the east coast. Fantastic spot to visit!

Having lived in Japan, there are few places in Vancouver that really hit the same vibe as what it was like to stroll into a casual neighborhood sushi place. Miko is the one that's hit that mark the best and I look forward to every trip there. The ochazuke is a must buy.
