Lots of tasty dishes, many that are unique to the restaurant. The Mackerel fish was amazing! The use of the fish dry ager and crisp charcoal grill infused a nice smokey flavour. My 15 year old, who doesn't like fish, ate almost all of it!!
I've been to New Fuji at least 3 times now and the food has been fairly consistently great. Depending on how busy they are, it can be a little hard to flag down someone. Biggest complaint is that there seems to be a lack of ventilation. Every time I've eaten at New Fuji I leave with my jacket and clothes smelling heavily like grease. The new uni & scallops peperoncino yakidon was not spicy compared to the snow crab peperoncino yakiudon, was looking forward to that heat. The unagi omelette was a hit to my mum, light and good as appetizer. Wished there was more sushi options and non yakiudon options.
