“As per usual, I had such a great time, I’ve been more than blessed and welcomed to Melo Patisserie. The whole team is nice, smiling and really helpful. It was a sunny day and I decided to go out to get some great treats. I got myself CIABATTA BREAD sandwich with salami and Dijon. It was simply delightfully delicious, the combination of the ciabatta and the melted Swiss cheese is always a win to me but I think this is the best one I ever had. Crunchy and full of flavours. And of course my favourite the London Fog. To indulge myself I finished with a Melo passion fruit ganache gluten-free easter cake, and my heart melted. I looked at their viennoiseries as well but decided to be reasonable and to keep the crave for my next visit. They look so tasty and the layers of the croissants are so beautiful so appetizing. Despite that I enjoyed the location, the pâtisserie is beautiful, it reminds me of me Paris with the decoration and the details from the nice looking plates to even the canvas exposition, everywhere you look it’s a pleasure for the eyes. I highly and strongly recommend Melo patisserie and I’ll come back again. Thank you for the great time ?? before I forget their patio is also so cute next time I’ll bring some friends.“

“Cute Korean cafe near Robson and Denman. They have a nice selection of pastries, a bit on the sweet side. The selection of teas and coffees are quite varied, beyond the typical latte and cappuccino The ambiance is chill and intimate; this is the right spot for a casual date or catching up with friends. For me, it just hit the spot as I was looking for a space to feel anonymous and relaxed.“

“Amazing collection of pastries and brunch sandwiches. I tried pain chocolat, pan Swiss, laminated brioche and breakfast sando and a sweet that I don’t remember the name of which was actually the only thing that I didn’t like.I loved every item I got except the one that I don’t remember the name of and I would recommend laminated brioche the highest. I had to get 3 of those because my 3 year old son devoured them as soon as I got it so I had to get 2 for him so he let me enjoy mine!!Oh btw the cappuccino and latte was world class. Loved how fresh and aromatic it was.Update:I loved the laminated brioche so much that I came back again alone to enjoy it to the fullest it was amazing again.I also tried pan Swiss again and tried a new item: Ciabatta. I wasn’t the fan of the ciabatta especially the soggy grilled lettuce was not appetizing at all and the best thing about that sandwich was eating the bread by itself. I would recommend breakfast sando over ciabatta every time.Kid-friendliness: It is very kid friendly the chef actually came to our table just to meet my 3 year old who twice ate my laminated brioche making me have to go back and order laminated brioche 2 separate times until I finally got to eat it.“

“I love the ciabatta and baguettes at Benchmark! However I may stop going there because I get embarrassed every time it's time to pay. I'm passed the pos machine and I have to chose what tip I'm supposed to pay. A couple of times I tipped but didn't feel right about it on my way out the door. Now I don't tip but feel cheap while the very pleasant and helpful staff is waiting for the pos machine back. I'm sorry but I have just been passed a few buns and if I start tipping at the bakery for such a short service then should I start tipping everywhere else that store staff just passes me something.“

“Super cute cafe and my first time getting the mango grapefruit lava cake!Around $12 and super refreshing! It had fresh mango on top and inside. The cake was light and the mango sauce was refreshing although it a little too sweet. Good snack portion for two people! There was little service and only three very small tables but you can tell everything is made with care and is delicious!Overall, recommend!“

“This shop is a hidden gem in the Kerrisdale village. If you try their mini cheese cakes, you will return to buy again every weekend. The shop has a small store front area and you can immediately see their signature mini cakes in the display area. This shop only opens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for walk in customers. They accept online order to pick up during weekdays. The mini cheese cakes has a rich favour of cheese. You will want to finish one cake in one bite of two. Personally I think their cakes are the perfect match with tea or Americano. Tibia good to buy more pieces to share with friends or family members.“

Le Gateau Bakeshop Patisserie Cake Shop • $$

“I’ve been a regular customer for a long time but recently I ordered a wedding cake from Tanya. She listened to my vision and created a beautiful masterpiece for my intimate wedding. I also had to transport it on the ferry and she had it packaged so well, it arrived in one piece. From cake tasting to pickup, it was all very seamless and of course the cake tasted amazing. We chose the lemon olive oil gateau which tasted bright and not too rich. We’ll definitely order again when we have another occasion.“

Yandoux Patisserie Patisserie/Cake Shop • $$

“Their cakes are super adorable I saw someone share their afternoon tea set on instagram, but when I came I realized the set and some other cakes need reservations in advance, you can call them or add them on WeChat. We ordered the coffee flavor, rose flavor and the bear one which is dark chocolate flavor. Our favorite is the coffee bean one as it has this strong coffee flavor but at the same time the taste is balanced and doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed. The bear one looks cute but the hard chocolate shell was a bit too hard to break. And the rose one is too creamy in my opinion, it’s hard to finish one without some drinks. Overall, will recommend this store to anyone that’s interested in exploring new dessert spot in Vancouver!“

“????Matcha cream puff: cream was light and had very nice bittersweet flavor of matcha, the puff pastry was not the crispy type, but that was exactly what I wanted. I could eat 2 in a row??Cream puff: p nice but not as good as the match ones??Cheese tart: a b sour not as good as the castella ones imo??Walnut napoleon: very crunchy and flaky, had a stronger taste of walnut while not overloaded with buttercream like the saint germain ones. Not a hype, it was the best i ever had“
