“Highly recommend the seafood tower as a shared starter for the table. I’ve never had jellyfish and was surprised at the sweet flavor and interesting (not slimy) texture. Service is excellent without being stuffy. Our party of four had a booth and despite the busy crowds we could converse easily without shouting. We will be back.“
“Food: the food was delicious. I had the Rigatoni Alla BollognesePrice: $20-$30 for appetizers $30-40 for main coursesEnvironment: it is very small and tight within the restaurant. A homey feeling.Parking: there’s lots of paid parking on the streetService: the server and service was amazingAnything else:“
“I visit first time in vancouver from toronto suddenly i am hungry at that time and i visit freshslice alma street2083 and i like too much pepperoni pizza and one girl deals me whose name is khushi and provide better service from other shops?“
“I'd give it 5 stars if the chairs and seating wasn't so uncomfortable. We waited 35 minutes so some delish food but the seating was just not comfortable, it was a bit pricey too for the amount of food you get but yes 4 out of 5 for sure.“
“Was there last night for their 20th anniversary menu. Foods was great. Service was excellent. They had to take back our table for next reservation which was understandable. The manager invited us to move to the bar and treated us their signature “lavender latte”. I was very impressed that the staff were very thoughtful. That’s probably one of the reasons that this place is still very popular after 20 years of operations. My friend and I had a fantastic girls night. Would love to come back!“
“Such a cute spot for brunch! Lovely food and presentation. I started with a tequila Caesar and it was so good! I opted for the mushroom and loved it. The crispy oyster mushrooms were so tasty and I loved the sauces. Pricier than expected ($23) but the flavors were on point.“
“Hey there , I went to fresh slice pizza today, I met with a guy name Jatin who is working there , I appreciate this guy because the way he works too good and he respect us , he gives us good deals and we ate pizza from there it’s too good and so tasty . I recommend to everyone please visit here because of food , ( specially Jatin is too good ) atmosphere, food .“
“The food is excellent. If you want a quiet dining experience book for 5pm, after 6:30 it can get rowdy. I do have a gripe though, if the meat and chicken are halaal and the venue serves alcohol, then it should not be designated a halaal restaurant. I've experienced this at two so called restaurants recently. State our meat is halaal and not that it is a halaal establishment.“
“Gluten Free! How amazing to find high-quality, authentic Indian cuisine that has options (plural!!!) for someone who is celiac, dairy free, nut free and can’t have chickpeas. The food was exceptional and the chef/owner was fantastic! Definitely come try Ashiana even if you have never had Indian food. It was delicious!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan is labeled on the menu with lots of options! Great choices for anyone with food allergies!“
“Do you love cookies? What about donuts, or cake? Well bonus bakery's cookies are essentially a hybrid of all of these things. Every flavour we've tried (and that's almost every one) has been absolutely delicious. More filling and satisfying than your regular cookies and definitely prettier and tastier too. The only downfall? Trying not too eat them all in one's sitting. Can't recommend enough. And we love that they offer delivery too, for a very reasonable price. And their customers service is above and beyond. Wish I could add a + to the five stars.“
“February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.“
“#e Food offers a delightful dining experience with its inventive sandwiches, cozy ambiance, and commitment to quality and sustainability. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch sandwich in the city.“
“We have visited this restaurant before and again we were not disappointed. We wanted a meal that we could enjoy each course and not be rushed to finish quickly because your server was bringing the next course. The flavours were very tasty:) positions were perfect to enjoy all courses. The young lady that served us had a great sense of humour and offered her ideas to pair together and how to split choices to be able to try our favourites. Moe also remembered us from our last visit and welcomed us back:) A must visit“
“Despite the name, Kranky Cafe is staffed by the nicest, most pleasant people you will find anywhere. The vibe they've created here is everything you could want from a community cafe. I was made to feel so welcome from the first time I walked in, and since then the baristas have cared enough to remember me, learn my name, ask how I'm doing/what I'm up to and follow up on it the next time I'm back, which is sometimes a month or more later. I've really never been to a coffee shop where the baristas show such genuine interest in customers. I'm not naturally very outgoing so I usually don't really get to know staff at cafes that I frequent, but it's not like I feel like these people are forcing me to converse with them, they're just really nice and it is infectious! As wonderful as the people are, I wouldn't be coming back over and over again if the food wasn't equally as wonderful, but it absolutely is. Their baked goods are homemade and it's very evident in the quality - everything tastes so wholesome! The sandwiches and wraps are great - the Big Veg sandwich, my favourite, is a killer vegan option. And they make good drinks too. The espresso drinks are pretty standard but brewed strong (but not TOO strong), and I think all the tea drinks (including the tea lattes and just straight-up tea) are excellent. They offer a lot of variety in the menu. It's not a vegan cafe (there are plenty of meat options) but there are some very good options for vegans: an assortment of vegan baked goods and two vegan sandwiches. They whip up new things from time to time. It's pretty small inside but they have a lot of patio space for when the weather's decent. They have blankets you can use to keep warm. I love the vibe, it's colourful and cozy inside and the patio has a rustic garden feel. This is the place to visit if you need to lift your spirits.“
“I don't know where to begin! The food was scrumptious! Bonus, I arrived at 5:20pm and it was HAPPY HOUR. I decided to get the 3 tacos for $10 deal x2. They have 7 different fillings and I had 6. Every single one had a different flavour profile and I absolutely would have each one again. In fact, I plan to go back and have exactly the same meal because I loved it so much! All of my choices vegetarian. My friend had the breakfast burrito baked with goat cheese and I had a bite and it was packed with flavour too. Oh, and my friend tried the London Fog Beer and said it was very tasty. The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy. The only thing I would change is the chairs are not very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this place!Vegetarian options: So many options I cannot even begin to list them all. This is a perfect place for a vegetarian!“
“A super kids friendly eatery with tasty food! We loved the waffles and the pacific pizza! While kids are enjoying the playing area so we can have some kids free time to enjoy the food. And if serves wine and cocktails for a plus.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, playing area“
“Decided to try this place. A great selection of cabinet food including blueberry cinnamon buns. There are also frozen pastries to take home to cook. I had a latte but asked to have the froth limited to make it more like a flat white. Staff very engaging, facility querky. Worthwhile giving this place a try.“
“Food was amazing! I ordered Palak Paneer and it was bussin. So much flavour and it tasted so good I finished it in 5 minutes. In addition, it was my buddy’s birthday and the owner George came and gave us all Mango Lassi! It tasted so good and he really made the day special for us. 10/10 would come again. Cheap food too.“
“Sat outside on a nice Vancouver day and had a few cocktails with lunch. Outstanding food and service! Fun people watching from the patio. Vegan poutine? I’m sold.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!Dietary restrictions: All plant based!“
“I had such a great experience at Viva cafe & Bakery ? I’m coming to this place since a while and new some Pastry chefs who worked there in the past. Here I am again and that time I’ll let a review for everyone to enjoy their visit to the coffee.I got myself two sandwiches, apparently I was hungry that day, is that the word ? Lol. I choose the Chicken pesto and the breakfast muffin. As I came late I didn’t get the chance to try the sweet treat that I wanted. So let me get back to the sandwiches ?They were simply divine ! Delicious. Couldn’t figure it out which one I prefer. The chicken pesto was excellent, the ciabatta bread crunchy and crusty just enough, the chicken was real chunk of thick and tender cooked to the grill, still juicy but not loose, the pesto almost intense. As soon as you bite it once you’re already biting for a second time without awareness… that’s a 12/10. Simply my favourite sandwich in town so far, period. For the breakfast muffin, same same, the bread is delightful, the ham so flavourful, spinach well seasoned, and the egg ? so nicely cooked. Great job, I highly recommend and strongly suggest anyone to try them, you won’t be disappointed. The team is really nice and helpful, smiling and friendly. The location is really cute, and their patio is meant to be enjoyable.See you next time !!! I’ll come back for the sweet treat ? ?“
“Exceptional sushi experience! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a serene ambiance. The menu offered a wide variety of fresh, expertly crafted sushi rolls and sashimi, each bite bursting with flavor. The presentation was impeccable, elevating the dining experience to another level. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring every need was met promptly. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a novice, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary journey that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Can't wait to return for another delightful meal!"“
“We hired Fresh in your Fridge last night for a Christmas dinner and they met and exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the food was organic, fresh and healthy. I recommend to hire Fresh in your Fridge as a gift for anyone but consider someone who is sick or a Mother who just had kids - can't think of a better gift.“
“So excited to have found a gluten free bakery next to a great coffee shop. The carrot cake, tiramisu and peanut butter brownie was delicious and moist. The brownie is not too sweet and paired nicely with the peanut butter frosting. I enjoyed the oatmeal raisin cookie and the chocolate chunk cookie which were also Dairy free. Both had soft centers and crunchy edges. The double chocolate cookie was a bit too soft and spongy for me. The brioche cinnamon bun was also a skip next time as it was quite dry.The shop also sold pizza slices and sandwich which I didn't try. The selves are also lined with a variety of gf mixes and flours, cute kitchen items and soaps. I especially appreciated that they sold chocolate from No whey which is allergy friendly/ top 9 free and vegan. They also had frozen cakes and pizza dough and pies. It is a total gem. I love the variety this place offers and their diligent labeling and knowledgeable staff“
“The MeeT brunch menu is the best food this vegan chain offers. I've always enjoyed The Full English meal, which is filling and satisfying. MeeT could further improve by providing espresso drinks like lattes (currently they only have drip coffee), freshening up their lunch and dinner menus (currently there are too many bland burgers and bowls), and making their booths more spacious and comfortable (there is very little space between the table and seats, which I discovered when I realized my baby's car seat would not fit on the bench). However, I will keep returning to support this restaurant as it is very nice to have multiple vegan options in so many locations in Vancouver.“
“Clean and good atmosphere. We walked by and had no idea what to expect. As a meat lover, of course a bit a challange to see the relative small menu. But we found quickly some nice options. We choose the amburi lox oshi (Sushi) and the smashed potatos to share. It was a really unextpected positive surprise. The potatos simple but delicious (unfortunately a bit too much). The Sushi complex, a bit spicy and really worth to try and reorder. The main we had Cacio e pepe and Dan Dan Noodles. Both delicious as well. Unfortunately it was too much and the tastes were after the half of the portion a bit "boring". Don't get us wrong. It was a amazing cooked, fresh incrediences and nothing negative. To eat I just missed a bit the variety of tastes.Maybe for a next time I would order half portion with a side like salad. But a nice place to visit. enjoy“
“Lovely coffee place. Got an americano and a Nutella crepe. The americano can use some work and they can be more generous with the Nutella. It’s a small shop so there’s limited seating. It’s super cozy but a little cold (they had the A/C on a 5°C weather + rain). They also have a lot of small business products like candles, pasta, eggs, ice cream, soaps, etc.Lovely coffee place.“
“Loved the atmosphere, service, drinks, and oysters. Oysters were served with cucumber puree-like things, which was super refreshing. Drinks were great with lots of options. The salad we ordered came with chunks of lobsters. Yum. Overall, I recommend to come and enjoy your life at this bar.“
“Absolutely amazing spot! If you’re looking for a stand alone Irish pub this is the place. All the food is next level, my personal favourite is the stacked corned beef. They have a proper selection of whiskey that is sure to satisfy and of course a great line up of beers.“
“wandered in on a fluke yesterday, not realizing the type of restaurant it was but wanted to stay in the air conditioning. and I was given the most unbelievably tasty food by an excellent server. definitely 10/10 and will go back next time I'm in the area“
“THIS 24 PIZZA JOINT IS SO CLEAN AND RENOVATED. I just want to shout out Sukhman for one of the best experience I've ever had at freshslice. She greeted us with a smile at the door and helped us right away. The pizza she made was stunning. It was fresh hot and made fast! I've waited longer at a McDonald's than here. This is how you know the pizza is fresh and hot. SUKHMAN was always keeping busy and made sure her stations were clean and presentable. We will be back always especially when she's working. She has excelled and exceeded our expectations. Her manager and boss should be extremely grateful that they have an asset on there team. We ate the pizza so fast because it was so good. So here's two slices left.“
“I came here because I was craving a good burger, but decided to go with their brunch menu instead since it happened to be a Sunday morning. Had the steak and eggs - super tender beef, perfect golden yolks, and super satisfying crunchy smashed potatoes. Will definitely be back for the burgers! Good food, good service, and good vibes.“
“Love taking classes here. Renée and Farzana are so patient, fun, and educational. I have learned a lot of gluten free / vegan recipes that taste just as good or even better than traditional recipes, which are also much healthier. I have made these recipes with family and friends which were cleared off their plates. :)“
“Amazing!! I have been visiting from out of town and made two trips to this place. I am Celiac and love having a large menu to choose from. The staff was incredible. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go to this place.“
“My brother recommended we go here during my limited time in Vancouver, and was he ever right! Service and atmosphere met and even surpassed expectations, but the real prize was in the food. We ordered the Grande Caesar- which you could expect to pay extra for its unique style, but quite the opposite!! $60 and we couldn’t even eat a quarter of it between 2 of us, the server gave us to-go boxes prior to completion as he knew what was up haha. Not all of it tasted fantastic to us, but still was extremely worth its price.“
“First time at Per se Social Corner for brunch on the weekend, my friend and I have been wanting to check out the restaurant for a while. We ordered the SPANISH BREAKFAST and BRUNCH BRAVAS. Unfortunately, the sunny side up eggs and Spanish chorizo were over cooked and the eggs weren't even runny. I think they grilled the chorizo a bit too long and they were quite black. I am not sure if I would order this dish again. My friend enjoyed her Brunch Bravas with the braised beef. The coffee also took a while, we received our meals before the drinks and they never wished my friend happy birthday even though I indicated on the online reservation that this is a special occasion for birthday event. The atmosphere at the restaurant is nice though, decor and everything feel glamours. You might even spotted the chef making the dough for the pizza at the back.“
“Was in Van visiting a friend and was told to check this place out. Definitely wasn’t disappointed! Food was delicious and our server was amazing! We had Jeremy and he was friendly, knew the menu, and made delicious wine and food recommendations. Will definitely be back.“
“You know a pizza is good when you can eat the crust without having to dip it in sauce. Excellent stuff! Will definitely come back. Customer service was fantastic. Kitchen looks super clean. I am not celiac but I saw a customer come in to pickup a GF pie and the gentleman washed his hands before touching the box again to give to the customer. Great stuff!“
“I recently returned to visit this location and everything is as great as I remembered. Come back several times to try out different dishes. Bring your friends and try their food too:) everything is delicious!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan, and the meat lovers won’t miss it!“
“I am never disappointed when I go to Trafiq. Whether to grab a quick drink or a bite to eat. The service and food is always excellent. Their cakes are especially delicious and a big hit for birthdays.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free options“
“It was really good!! I loved the flavors of pizza and the way it was prepared. Was definately nice since I had 2 friends I was grabbing pizza for that can't have gluten and they prepared it in a separate oven. Very conscious of dietary concerns. The only downside was price. VERY expensive. I ordered 2 small (10") gluten-free pizzas and it was almost a $50 bill.“
“I found the email access very complicated with password requirements away beyond what is necessary for a Restaurant app.The telephone support made up for my frustration with the appThe Food was tasty and servings were ample.I found it awkward heating the salmon protein while not heating the salad bed .We will try again.“
“Impromptu visit for dinner. Three of us had the set menu for $65 starting with 6 oysters (delicious) each (two types x 3 oysters), then moved to the lobster and prawn carbonara (+$10) which was tasty but the portion is quite big so after a while it started to be a bit tough and samey on the taste buds given it's quite umami and a thicker rather than thinner carbonara sauce. Nonetheless it was good. Our fourth diner just had the octopus appetiser which was tasty too. Desserts were generous portions but the crème Brulé was a bit heavy and not much flavour to it. Cheesecake was decent. Our server was friendly. Mains came out quite quickly after the oysters but it was ok. Nice restaurant overall for an unplanned walk-in.“
“Hey, I recently visited New York Fries and had an awesome experience! The two girls working there, Harman and Param, were super friendly and made my visit even better. They provided excellent customer service and made sure I had a great time. The fries were delicious too! I highly recommend checking out New York Fries and experiencing their amazing service for yourself. You won't be disappointed!“
“Warm and gooey… I make a mess every time licking my fingers at the end. But that is a part of my ritual of eating the best cinnamon roll in town!A bit pricy (almost $6 a pc) and quite sweet (always with glaze) but it is ok to indulge myself sometimes, right?“
“This is such a nice place. We sat outside and the had the heater on. The waiter and hostess were very kind. The oysters were very good and the portion for the fish and chips was perfect. Very fresh and tasty! Will be back on our next trip don’t pay attention to the bad reviews this place is very good“
“Amazing! our 3 year old daughter had to have her head glued shut today and being able to grab a 'brave girl' treat on the way home from the hospital is phenomenal. Moist cakes, beautifully made, scrumptious and won't break the bank. 5***** plus a million likes and loves.“
“Excellent dedicated gluten-free Japanese food and all other common allergens are marked on the menu. Very delicious! Highly recommend the chicken karaage. Must have reservations!Dietary restrictions: Allergens are clearly marked on the menu“
“Celiac Heaven!!!!!Wow.... more delicious each time ... desserts are over the top, beautiful and bound with flavors. Bread, Savory Buns and Bagels, you want to eat more! “God, it was so tasty! Potato soup, flatbread and kids’ meat pasta. Their home made cheesecake is amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. Large windows facing Rockies, sunset light, and fire inside of the brick oven. Just the right place to visit after a nice walk.Kid-friendliness: Much more interesting kids menu compared to other places.“
“The food we had were really good and the portion were generous, too. Our server, Francesca, was very accommodating and thoughtful. She made sure we had everything that we need, and even made suggestions when we couldn’t make up our mind.We ordered:Joey Classic Steak with Yam FriesSteak FritesFish Taco with Crispy MashBlackened ChickenMargaritasGuinness ✨“
