“I recently visited this charming coffee shop and bakery and was thoroughly impressed by the delightful ambiance and delectable offerings. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods, created a welcoming and inviting experience. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring that my coffee was made to perfection. The selection of pastries and baked treats was extensive, each item bursting with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a delightful coffee and pastry experience. A true gem in the world of coffee shops and bakeries“
“As per usual, I had such a great time, I’ve been more than blessed and welcomed to Melo Patisserie. The whole team is nice, smiling and really helpful. It was a sunny day and I decided to go out to get some great treats. I got myself CIABATTA BREAD sandwich with salami and Dijon. It was simply delightfully delicious, the combination of the ciabatta and the melted Swiss cheese is always a win to me but I think this is the best one I ever had. Crunchy and full of flavours. And of course my favourite the London Fog. To indulge myself I finished with a Melo passion fruit ganache gluten-free easter cake, and my heart melted. I looked at their viennoiseries as well but decided to be reasonable and to keep the crave for my next visit. They look so tasty and the layers of the croissants are so beautiful so appetizing. Despite that I enjoyed the location, the pâtisserie is beautiful, it reminds me of me Paris with the decoration and the details from the nice looking plates to even the canvas exposition, everywhere you look it’s a pleasure for the eyes. I highly and strongly recommend Melo patisserie and I’ll come back again. Thank you for the great time ?? before I forget their patio is also so cute next time I’ll bring some friends.“
“I can confidently say that this is a client-oriented business. Despite an unfortunate incident with a Paska bread that happened after I left their Gastown location, the Kozak team was extremely kind and promptly resolved my issue. Thank you! Truly appreciate your customer service!“
“Delicious vegan treats! My boyfriend and I ordered the banana bread, which was delicious and affordable priced. It is made with olive oil and vegan butter. You really can’t taste the difference from non vegan pastries. Only $4 too for a big and moist slice. He also had the mocha which he enjoyed. So many delicious pastries - savoury and non-savoury. Cake options too.Love the airy space (even though it was a bit small) and alternative milk options. It was calm and relaxing to sit there and enjoy the treats.Erin was super friendly when I introduced myself as a fan, having followed her Instagram and been anticipating trying her bakery. She kindly gave us 2 free pieces of spanakopita to try, fresh from the oven.I will definitely be back and will tell my plant-based and non-plant-based friends about this cafe!“
“Do you love cookies? What about donuts, or cake? Well bonus bakery's cookies are essentially a hybrid of all of these things. Every flavour we've tried (and that's almost every one) has been absolutely delicious. More filling and satisfying than your regular cookies and definitely prettier and tastier too. The only downfall? Trying not too eat them all in one's sitting. Can't recommend enough. And we love that they offer delivery too, for a very reasonable price. And their customers service is above and beyond. Wish I could add a + to the five stars.“
“After a walk around Stanley Park we went here for a bite. It's nice that they had a vegan option which is the vegetable medley as long as you have it without the gravy but you can top it off with peas. They also have a berry pie if opting for dessert or a vegan sweet pie.“
“I have been meaning to leave a review for some time as I want to share my amazing experience with Cadeaux Bakery over the years. I have been buying their pre-order cakes for various events from birthdays to weddings for the last 8 years and they never disappoint. The flavors are delicious and the cakes always look amazing. When asked for any customization they have always accommodated and it has looked exactly the way I wanted it to. When I had to cancel my baby shower due to unforeseen circumstance they were very accommodating and worked with us to find a solution in which everyone would be happy with. Everyone always asks me where I get my cakes from and have always said how yummy they are. I will continue to buy my cakes from them and recommend them to everyone!“
“I had the pleasure of savoring the cheesecake at Oh Sweet Day Bakery, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The velvety smooth texture of the cheesecake was complemented by a perfectly balanced sweetness. Each bite was a heavenly combination of rich flavors, leaving me craving more. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly set Oh Sweet Day Bakery's cheesecake apart. A must-try for any dessert enthusiast!“
“It is a cozy lovely little coffee shop with great cinnamon roll and coffee! The interior is small yet airy. Service was awesome!! It’s a great place to get together with friends for coffee breaks and snacks. Definitely will go back again.“
“I had such a great experience at Viva cafe & Bakery ? I’m coming to this place since a while and new some Pastry chefs who worked there in the past. Here I am again and that time I’ll let a review for everyone to enjoy their visit to the coffee.I got myself two sandwiches, apparently I was hungry that day, is that the word ? Lol. I choose the Chicken pesto and the breakfast muffin. As I came late I didn’t get the chance to try the sweet treat that I wanted. So let me get back to the sandwiches ?They were simply divine ! Delicious. Couldn’t figure it out which one I prefer. The chicken pesto was excellent, the ciabatta bread crunchy and crusty just enough, the chicken was real chunk of thick and tender cooked to the grill, still juicy but not loose, the pesto almost intense. As soon as you bite it once you’re already biting for a second time without awareness… that’s a 12/10. Simply my favourite sandwich in town so far, period. For the breakfast muffin, same same, the bread is delightful, the ham so flavourful, spinach well seasoned, and the egg ? so nicely cooked. Great job, I highly recommend and strongly suggest anyone to try them, you won’t be disappointed. The team is really nice and helpful, smiling and friendly. The location is really cute, and their patio is meant to be enjoyable.See you next time !!! I’ll come back for the sweet treat ? ?“
“Decided to try this place. A great selection of cabinet food including blueberry cinnamon buns. There are also frozen pastries to take home to cook. I had a latte but asked to have the froth limited to make it more like a flat white. Staff very engaging, facility querky. Worthwhile giving this place a try.“
“I love popping my head into Kanadell Japanese Bakery when I have time. I love the warm and fresh curry buns (curry pan) when available, they sell out fast! They have many delicious bakery items and offer interesting products. They have a comfortable seating area, always clean and have friendly attentive staff. A must visit if in the area, recommended.“
“I remain forever obsessed with Merci Boulangerie. A weekly regular at Natalie’s farmer’s market stand; I would have told you it’s impossible that her pastries could get better. But her newest retail shop just blows everything out of the water. Virtually everything she sells is highly addictive. From the sourdough bread to the chocolate noisette croissants, flatbreads, and seasonal cruffins, you can’t go wrong no matter what you get. It’s like a little taste of Paris here in Vancouver. Do yourself a favour and buy one of everything. You won’t be disappointed.“
“We were visiting from Calgary and came for some Greek baked treats and I also got a hot and fresh tiropita and spanakopita. Both were incredible. So warm and delicious. Decent sized pieces for both. I didn’t have time to take a photo because I just enjoyed them quickly with a frappe! Great spot in Vancouver. Worth seeking out!Vegetarian options: Spanakopita and tiropita were both incredible. So fresh and flavorful.“
“So excited to have found a gluten free bakery next to a great coffee shop. The carrot cake, tiramisu and peanut butter brownie was delicious and moist. The brownie is not too sweet and paired nicely with the peanut butter frosting. I enjoyed the oatmeal raisin cookie and the chocolate chunk cookie which were also Dairy free. Both had soft centers and crunchy edges. The double chocolate cookie was a bit too soft and spongy for me. The brioche cinnamon bun was also a skip next time as it was quite dry.The shop also sold pizza slices and sandwich which I didn't try. The selves are also lined with a variety of gf mixes and flours, cute kitchen items and soaps. I especially appreciated that they sold chocolate from No whey which is allergy friendly/ top 9 free and vegan. They also had frozen cakes and pizza dough and pies. It is a total gem. I love the variety this place offers and their diligent labeling and knowledgeable staff“
“Wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We have never tried Canele before. Soft on the inside crispy and caramel like on the out. Tasted a little burnt, not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. The apple Canele was better than the black sesame. The passion fruit donut was very good.“
“I was very excited to go to this place and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Kunefe wasn’t as good as I hoped (6/10) but Borek, and mixed plate -especially Baba ganoosh and eggplant salad- were top notch (9/10). Turkish coffee was served in traditional form, loved it.I suggest spinach and cheese borek over cheese or the Mediterranean.“
“Really tasty and varied selection of flavours. I've tried several flavours and even placed a couple of orders for gifts with a general consensus that these cookies are delicious! The seamless delivery experience is a bonus as well. I'll definitely be ordering again ?“
“Beth, the owner is great. She serves the community of False Creek, but also those who are experiencing financial difficulties. There is a donation fridge where you can drop off what you don't need for others to pick up. Local art is shown inside amongst a barrage of oddly, yet interesting mirrors. I go there for the hot chocolate and gingerbread molasses cookies.“
“I am very picky about my matcha and this is my favourite spot to grab a matcha latte. They use a nice grade of matcha, prepare the matcha base properly with a matcha whisk, and the matcha to other ingredient ratio has been consistently good!Their hojicha latte and coffee drinks are also very good! LOVE the baked goods here. The staff are also wonderful! It’s located at E Hastings and Garden Dr along the main road (accessible by the R5 bus or 7 Nanaimo). Seating is limited, but the ambience is so cozy.“
“I've had the pleasure of using Mayito Exquisite Baking for both personal and corporate events for up to 250 people, and each experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The baked goods are delicious, consistently exceeding expectations. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. The service is truly amazing, with a team that goes above and beyond to ensure satisfaction, & the reasonable pricing makes Mayito a perfect choice for any occasion. Highly recommended!“
“Lively, small cafe with a ton of greenery! No outlets so not great for remote working and wifi was moderately fast. Much better suited for socially grabbing coffee for which it had a wonderful atmosphere.Matcha was very high quality but could use more whisking since there were small matcha clumps in the drink. Tasted creamy and earthy. Thought all the pastries looked superb. Overall, good spot and worth visiting!“
“Amazing collection of pastries and brunch sandwiches. I tried pain chocolat, pan Swiss, laminated brioche and breakfast sando and a sweet that I don’t remember the name of which was actually the only thing that I didn’t like.I loved every item I got except the one that I don’t remember the name of and I would recommend laminated brioche the highest. I had to get 3 of those because my 3 year old son devoured them as soon as I got it so I had to get 2 for him so he let me enjoy mine!!Oh btw the cappuccino and latte was world class. Loved how fresh and aromatic it was.Update:I loved the laminated brioche so much that I came back again alone to enjoy it to the fullest it was amazing again.I also tried pan Swiss again and tried a new item: Ciabatta. I wasn’t the fan of the ciabatta especially the soggy grilled lettuce was not appetizing at all and the best thing about that sandwich was eating the bread by itself. I would recommend breakfast sando over ciabatta every time.Kid-friendliness: It is very kid friendly the chef actually came to our table just to meet my 3 year old who twice ate my laminated brioche making me have to go back and order laminated brioche 2 separate times until I finally got to eat it.“
“What a delicious find! Loved, loved, loved the giant croissant with Nutella, as well as the cannoli. Sweet spot to sit a spell as well. It’s easy to tell that everything is made with quality ingredients and love. Must admit that I’m a bit of a snob about croissants after having lived in Quebec for five years. on top of all that, the staff were delightful and quite proud of their products can’t wait to go back and try the house made gelato!!! Nice, brown green pistachio…IYKYK“
“My first time trying these walnut cakes and they were delicious! The shop owner was very friendly, the store was clean, and the food was made when ordered so it came out piping hot! Only a couple seats available inside. Pricing is very reasonable - only $1.25 each or $6 for 6. You can also mix and match flavours!“
“This place is a hidden gem! I was looking for a women-owned business and found this bakery. The person working at the front gave me a run down of everything they offer which is a wide range of delicious baked goods and tasty drinks!I tried the Campfire tea late which is like a camping experience without the travel! It smelled smokey just like you’re seated by the campfire and tasted amazing.I also tried a couple of treats, and my favorites were the Walnut and Chocolate banana bread. Perfect amount of sweetness, moist, and fresh. I look forward to my next visit.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bakery“

“Top notch Bakery. Friendly Staff. Great Service. Fast Service. Good Prices for the area. If you’re looking for delicious bread or a delicacy of a tasty pastry this is a must stop. The Sausage Roll was delicious, the puff pasty was light and full of flavor. Cozy Atmosphere for a such a small place, but the welcoming atmosphere was refreshing compared to other bakeries I visited the same day. Their bathroom was super clean and had a super fancy toilet. The coffee left a pleasant smell in the air. They have a cute wall of dog pictures in the back for customers dogs. Overall this Bakery had one of the best vibes along with delicious treats.“
“I am never disappointed when I go to Trafiq. Whether to grab a quick drink or a bite to eat. The service and food is always excellent. Their cakes are especially delicious and a big hit for birthdays.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free options“
“Warm and gooey… I make a mess every time licking my fingers at the end. But that is a part of my ritual of eating the best cinnamon roll in town!A bit pricy (almost $6 a pc) and quite sweet (always with glaze) but it is ok to indulge myself sometimes, right?“
“A hidden gem of a dining experience. My wife and I have been going for several years. It only got better with first-class chefs and front-line staff overseeing the operation. Exceptional food and prices plus you get to witness students at VCC being trained in all aspects of fine dining. I can see why it is an exceptional program. The senior instructor Dennis has an art of making you feel at home and we can see that same nature displayed by his students under his guidance. Wish I was that age again. So well executed.“
“What truly set inBtwn Cafe apart was the service. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I was comfortable and enjoying my meal. Their recommendations were spot on, and they even shared a bit about the cafe's history and their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients.“
“Celiac Heaven!!!!!Wow.... more delicious each time ... desserts are over the top, beautiful and bound with flavors. Bread, Savory Buns and Bagels, you want to eat more! Muffins, Squares and more ... especially the Croissants... they take you to heaven ... crisp and flakey :)Vegetarian options: Many items are VeganDietary restrictions: Celiac friendly, 100% Gluten FreeMy favorite Bread is the Rustic“
“Came here in the morning, and parking is easy to get as they have a lot infront of the store. The smell of fresh pastries are always something I love. Just as the smell, the Croissant was so chewy and soft! Loved it especially the Pistachio was my favorite the Earl Grey and other fillings were tasteful and sweet. Definitely a must go place when in Vancouver! The service was efficient with the amount of workers they have and you could see them constantly bringing out the new croissants and see how they make it on the side window as well!“
“The food at Simit lives up to the hype in the comments. I went in for just a pastry but left with two Borek and an order of Manti which were like little clouds of heaven. The selection of pastries is extensive and the bagel options fit any taste you might have. I’ve never craved Turkish food before but I will now after trying the Borek— the perfect savoury pastry to suit a need. I can’t believe I didn’t realize I had baklava so available to me nearby. If, like me you’ve walked past this place lots, do yourself a favour and stop for a minute the next time you walk by. There’s always people in here and it’s deserved.Vegetarian options: Many of the pastries specifically are vegan and will indicate it next to the pastry.“
“A cozy place where you can enjoy delicious coffee in a friendly atmosphere.Conveniently located at Nelson square, it has both inside and outside seating with great view on cherry blossoms.World class service is like an icing on a cake, always makes me to come back to enjoy it.“
“Amazing! our 3 year old daughter had to have her head glued shut today and being able to grab a 'brave girl' treat on the way home from the hospital is phenomenal. Moist cakes, beautifully made, scrumptious and won't break the bank. 5***** plus a million likes and loves.“
“Bon jour, bon appetite, Bon macarons…I have been to a lot of the macaron places in the lower mainland plus ordered and tried from a lot of the private home based pastry chefs. At the end of the day, I still bring myself back to Bon’s for macarons. Are they the best in taste, quality and price? To be fair, they aren’t the best in each particular category but are one of the better ones in the overall categories and consistent. Here were what I ordered this time around.1. 30pcs assorted box.Overall, the day is always a bit sweeter when bringing home a box of Bon’s macarons to enjoy. I always appreciate the friendly and more personal services especially when the owner is around, giving it that beautiful atmosphere which it does make most things sweeter. Plus most times I am there, they give a free sample on a new flavour. Give them a visit next time you are in Granville Island! BON appetite!!“
“I love this place, first time i was try eggs benedict in my life and i love it, it was so delisious and big portion, i love the ambiance it is small place but so cute, i just want to sorry for mistakenly i forgot to tip i am new in town but next time I will “
“I visited for lunch on Sunday.Breca is always crowded, but they also do a lot of takeout, so there was still room. Maybe it's because it's this branch, or because it's a weekend with many events(?), but it feels like there aren't many people. The staff seemed busy, but they responded kindly.“
“Their traditional donuts are the best in town!!! I’m giving them three stars because delivery only serves “bakers choice” meaning you can’t select the donuts you want…that’s terrible. Otherwise service at the donut shop is quick and friendly!!!“
“I’ve been twice now and have had a fantastic experience both times. Perfectly poached eggs both times, which just makes my day! Beautiful, creamy, whipped ricotta along with mortadella and root veg. An absolutely satisfying light breakfast. And great oat milk cortado as well.“
“beautifully designed mural inside this cafe. love the art. and love the coffees and pastries. some of the nicest staff in the planet. gluten free and vegan pastries/baked goods but sadly zero vegan breakfast options. kinda unfortunate but hope that they’ll fix this.Vegetarian options: only in baked goods“
“Tasty tradit and not so tradit Chinese goodies. Hit the place just after opening 2 ensure y'all r getting the fresh-out-of- oven (or steamer) stuff! Later in day delectables get marked down 4 clearance. Some v good deals 2 b had after 5:30 cuz place shutters at 6. If there's any deal left 2 b had! Prices great 2 boot...“
“Love the vibe, the atmosphere and plants in every corner that make me feel so relax and comfortable. Highly recommend to try vegan chocolate ( it tastes so real with coconut flakes inside) with some tea or salted chocochip cookie. Wish they have more seats in the future.Parking: 2 hours free street parking lots“
“Came here for lunch takeout and got the egg tart and steamed pork bun. Both items were very delicious. The smells in the front of the store coming from the bakery were amazing. The service was friendly and the price for the items were very good. I will have to come back and sit down for a meal next time!“
“An expertly made cappuccino very rich, but not acidic and have a mildly sweet flavouring from the milk.I actually ate and ranked every almond croissant that I can find in Vancouver and this one was fresh crusty so 5 stars rate is at least I can give to you?? ambient with warm colours and friendly employees.“
“This is a fabulous place for coffee and the BEST cinnamon buns with frosting that I have ever been in on my travels around the world! If you love coffee and have a sweet tooth (don’t we all) you absolutely must drop by on the way to the beach! You won’t be disappointed!“
“I love the ciabatta and baguettes at Benchmark! However I may stop going there because I get embarrassed every time it's time to pay. I'm passed the pos machine and I have to chose what tip I'm supposed to pay. A couple of times I tipped but didn't feel right about it on my way out the door. Now I don't tip but feel cheap while the very pleasant and helpful staff is waiting for the pos machine back. I'm sorry but I have just been passed a few buns and if I start tipping at the bakery for such a short service then should I start tipping everywhere else that store staff just passes me something.“
“Best baklavas and middle eastern pastries I've ever had. I bought all these treats and i finished them in two sittings - there was no way I could stop. They are so tasty and addictive, but they're not oily nor are they overly sweet like traditional baklava.Part of me is glad that they are not close to me because otherwise I would go every day. They're THAT good. And the customer service is amazing, that's something that can't be ignored. I don't think I'll ever go to a better middle eastern bakery here in Vancouver.“
