I don’t know if this is the typical experience, but whenever I go to a fine dining restaurant I end up enjoying the amuse-bouche and appetizers more than the entrees. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck. But not this place — every single dish was executed to perfection, and the mains were the best I’ve had of their kind: the fondue omelette, the pastas, and the fried fish were absolute standouts. The truffle fondue omelette in particular blew my mind. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Updated review: I went here a few weeks ago for brunch. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and ambience, but was disappointed with the lack of service that I expected from a fine dining restaurant. I posted my original review with my experience, and management took the initiative to invite me back. My second visit met all my expectations. From the beginning to the end of our visit, all staff we interacted with were welcoming, accomodating, and attentive. I truly appreciate the improvements I observed in comparison to my previous visit. Again, food was amazing and the ambiance was great. “Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! “Super delicious food and amazing service, very thoughtful regarding allergies as well. The food and service were so good that my friend ate his entire bowl even though he was full as not to look as if he didn’t like his ramen!!!
The broth is super creamy! Free spicy option as well and inexpensive refill.

Highlights included the fried crab balls, whole roast duck served two ways (Peking style and minced meat in lettuce wraps), and deep-fried crab with garlic, XO sauce, and stir-fried rice. Every dish was fresh and non-greasy. The polite and attentive staff provided excellent guidance on selecting a variety of dishes for our banquet. Although parking was a bit tricky to navigate, it was free—a nice added perk!“

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.“

We did the tasting menu for 2 with red wine and added an extra dessert which they put on the house because we said we were celebrating. It's a place you could hang your hat - and we did. “May become my new favourite Indian restaurant in Vancouver! Had the Chicken Tiki Masala and the ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. The garlic naan was fragrant, light and fluffy - not too oily. They also have a variety of mocktails and zero alcohol drinks on top of a great bar menu. The decor is modern/cozy and they have many tables for groups, date nights or solo dining. Very friendly and attentive staff! Paid parking in the surrounding neighbourhood but not out front.“

“Some of the best food we’ve ever had while living in Vancouver. We can’t wait to go back!! To start we got the Lean Lamb Merguez, and everything about this dish was perfect. The greens were refreshing, the homemade hot sauce was incredible, and the lamb was seasoned to perfection. For our mains we got the Lemon Saffron Lamb Shank and the Cardamom Duck With Figs, Pear And Sesame Tagine both packed with flavour and falling apart to the touch.“

“Wonderful place to try on an impromptu getaway to Vancouver. We did the tasting menu, and loved the flavors of the miso cured sablefish especially. The roasted pear for dessert was also a highlight. The owner explained several of the dishes and the sake menu to us, and was a delight to talk to.“

“One of the best Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, although be prepared to pay steep prices. The quality is similar to the taco stands found in LA and San Diego, but at a cost.

We ordered the taco trio which came at a whopping $26. The taco filling was delicious, very richly textured, and bursting with fresh ingredients. But at almost $9 per taco, it's quite mind boggling when it's a $2 USD street food item.

We also ordered a bunch more other items, all very good: guacamole with nachos, baked cheese portobello mushroom, a chili soup, and beef tortillas. They all were a bit salty; I came home and drank at least 3 cups of water within a few hours.

Service was attentive and polite, and our wait staff checked in on us at appropriate timepoints without being overbearing during our dinner.

Parking is paid on the street, and a bit hit and miss depending on the day and time.

Overall, a more upscale experience than what you can find in Vancouver, with authentic dishes made with a tasteful approach. I would return and interested to try out their entrees in the future.“

We ordered Omakase C - Cofu and were delighted! The presentation is artful, but not fussily so. The flavours were layered and subtle so every ingredient could be tasted. Our favourite was the salmon sushi (we ordered an extra 8 pieces!), rich, decadent and delish, especially with the Cilantro Cucumber sauce. We tried the Restore and Elevate mushroom tinctures on the rocks; unexpected flavours, but they grew on us paired with the food and a little ice melt dilution. We will go back time and again to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!“
