“We tried the platter which was absolutely delicious. The taste of each item in the platter was different from the other and is above and beyond expectations. About biryani’s my personal favourite is vijaywada chicken biryani. The chicken is so well marinated and soft. And the biryani rice so amazing. I would love to visit this place again. Highly recommended for people who love biryani.“
“Our family of 8 had a wonderful time dining at this restaurant last night. Food was excellent and the servers were very attentive: checking to see how we were doing and making sure everything was ok. The owner (who is also the chef) came out to say hello near the end of our meal. He also check to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. If you haven't tried this place out, it's definitely worth paying a visit. Can't wait to go back again soon.“
“We just had a fantastic dinner at Nirvana’s new location on Victoria at 49 Ave. Very tasty food and super friendly hosts. The food is really Indian not Canadian/Indian. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, everything was delish. Highly recommend a visit.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to climb, no door sill to get over. Parking on the street or behind the restaurant.“
“Cilantro Indian Cuisine Vancouver - Highly Recommended We went to this restaurant today for dinner and the food was amazingly tasty. I have tried other Indian restaurants in Surrey, Burnaby and Vancouver but there is no comparison in the taste. The service was outstanding in cozy atmosphere with Indian music in the background. We had Paneer Karahi with Garlic Naan and Veg Biryani. It felt like pure Indian taste. Would definitely love to visit again !“
“Gluten Free! How amazing to find high-quality, authentic Indian cuisine that has options (plural!!!) for someone who is celiac, dairy free, nut free and can’t have chickpeas. The food was exceptional and the chef/owner was fantastic! Definitely come try Ashiana even if you have never had Indian food. It was delicious!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan is labeled on the menu with lots of options! Great choices for anyone with food allergies!“
“Indulge your taste buds with the great food here. The food is tasty, authentic and service is top notch. From Pasta, burgers to momos, chhoela and butter chicken to Biryani, you are covered for all your cravings. Must try, you won’t be disappointed.“
“We have eaten at quite a few Indian restaurants down Robson, Denman and Davies street. By far the food in this place I believe is the best Indian food going. Service is good, atmosphere is good, and the energy is very loving. I highly recommend this place. Oh yeah price is reasonable.“
“I can see why Michelin recognized this restaurant.Food:The food is incredible and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the pakoras to start off. All the dishes we ordered were yummy and generous portions (we had lamb madras and butter chicken). There are lots of GF options on the menu too.Atmosphere:I liked that we could easily carry on a conversation—it’s not noisy. I thought our server and host were very friendly too.Location:Great location in Kits and very accessible by public transit.“
“Visiting Vancouver for a business conference and this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere was relaxed, the prices were affordable, portions were plenty and the food was out of this world. Great flavours, friendly staff, impeccable service, I can’t say enough. If you’re in Vancouver make plans to dine at Spicy 6!“
“Came into here wanting some Indian food for lunch, and well I was literally surprised with an All You Can Eat lunch for $18.95 before tax for lunch and they had so many choices of curry you can eat.I totally was not expecting this at all, because it wasn't advertised anywhere on their menus, neither was it advertised outside when you walk by it. You gotta know in order to know. I only came here because I work near by and wanted some Indian Food as a craving in the North Shore. To be honest, yes the waiters seem very dismissive and judgemental, but they had the whole "gatekeepy" vibes, which was a good thing in my eyes. And now I am sharing it with everyone, because they had such a good deal for lunch.Every buffet lunch comes with a basket of Nan, and with a lot of choices of curries, the only one that they didn't present was paneer and I was sad because of it. Paneer is one of favourite choices because CHEEEEESE. LOL. Anyways, I will be back for maybe some more lunch buffets, if I feel like it, and maybe bring some co-workers as well.Pretty good find in the North shore, so yea, it's a win for sure.“
“Great food! Worth the price. It's SriLankan/South Indian cuisine. Dosas imo are the best on their menu. I quite liked the Kothu porotta and gravy as well. Staff was really polite and helpful. Atmosphere was decent and didn't really matter cuz the food was good!“
“The DINE-OUT menus provided good choices. Appetizers - BEETROOT KEBABS was a perfect fresh start. CHICKEN LOLIPOPS was deep-fried to the right degree. The unfolding of the drumstick meat to form a lolipop shape generated fine crispiness. Entrees - CHARMINAR CHICKEN and SPICY RARA GHOST were both tasty in its own unique ways. They were perfect company of the rice and naan options provided. We all loved the coconut rice, and onion-cilantro naan. The rich diversity of vegetable, herbs, spices, and sauces; as well as the food colours, presentations, dinnerwares, warm and ethnic decor ... made us felt like a feast than a simple lunch. Last of all, the central location of Sula on Main gave us good convenience to go home by public transit.“
“Indulged in the delectable offerings of this Halal pizza haven in Vancouver! The flavors were outstanding, and the assurance of Halal ingredients added an extra layer of satisfaction. The dedication to quality and authenticity is truly commendable. If you're in Vancouver and craving delicious, Halal pizza, this place is a definite must-try! ??“
“Kinara have been our neighborhood Indian restaurant choice for 2 years. They are consistently excellent in their food quality and we get fast and efficient service. They are so worth supporting for a great meal. Love them, Sylvia and Andy“
“East is East is a magnificent feast for all your senses, period. I was there for a wedding reception over the weekend and I have to say that the only thing that surpasses their culinary marvels, the soothing atmosphere and exceptional warmth of the hostess was the service we received from Lana, our waitress. She navigated through all our requests with unparalleled hospitality and swiftness making us feel at home allowing us to focus on celebrating the newlyweds. How she was able to accommodate our large wedding party with such impeccable grace and care can only be called MAGIC. I never had to worry about “wondering where the waitress went” or “did she hear the order correctly”. Simply put, it was smooth and perfect. Special commendation goes out to the kitchen staff, who kept churning out dish after mouth watering dish almost as fast as we would order it. And if that wasn’t enough to qualify as one of the most satisfying dining celebratory experiences ever, there was also David. His virtuoso violin performances throughout the evening reached deep in to our hearts and were a perfect inspiration to hit the dance floor. Thank you East is East and especially Lana and David for a perfect evening honoring our newly wed couple!! Bravo“
“As a total foodie, me and my family recently had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable South Indian restaurant tucked away in the heart of Vancouver. The menu showcased an impressive selection of seafood, chicken, and lamb dishes, each one a masterpiece in its own right. The use of fresh ingredients and aromatic spices was evident in every bite, leaving my taste buds dancing with delight.Starting with the seafood, I indulged in a variety of dishes that showcased the restaurant's commitment to excellence. The prawns curry had just the right balance of tanginess and spiciness, elevating the flavors of the tender fish to perfection. Accompanied by fluffy basmati rice and freshly baked naan, it was a match made in culinary heaven. The lamb dishes suggested by Shiva (the server) showcased the restaurant's culinary prowess. The lamb curry, slow-cooked to perfection, showcased the depth of flavors that can only be achieved through time and patience. The succulent pieces of tender lamb, enveloped in a rich and aromatic sauce, were a true testament to the chef's expertise. The service at this South Indian gem was impeccable, with the staff displaying extensive knowledge of the menu and a genuine passion for their craft. Special thanks to Shiva for helping us pick the right dishes. They went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, creating a dining experience that was both professional and personable. In conclusion, this South Indian restaurant in Canada is a true gem for seafood, chicken, and lamb enthusiasts. The exceptional flavors, authentic ambiance, and impeccable service combine to create an enchanting culinary journey that will leave you craving for more. If you're seeking a memorable dining experience that transports you to the vibrant streets of South India, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.“
“I've been a fan of this place forever, and that won't stop. The food is consistent (for years, really), delicious (hands down), and always piping hot (no joke). Friendly service and good quality food to take to the park or home, thank you Roti Kitchen for being a such a solid local business and for opening up to delivery service for those of us downtown without cars!“
“I have outstanding experience with silk lounge‘s tiffin service. Their food is exceptionally good. They never repeat dishes in period of 4 weeks. Everyday they send complimentary sweet dish or yogurt. I am amazed by Silk Lounge’s service at such an affordable price. Additionally, their delivery network is too good as compared to other tiffin services in market. They always deliver food on time and where it was expected to placed. Lastly, I will recommend all my friends/reviewers to try them and enjoy the fabulous service.“
“"I recently dined at Bombay kitchen , and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make recommendations. Now, let's talk about the food - absolutely divine! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, this restaurant has something for everyone. I highly recommend trying the [Tima Tim paneer ] - it's truly a culinary masterpiece.“
“Seeing the stories of others who also fall victim to crypto investment scam tears me out badly. I remembered when I was in that same situation it wasn't really easy for me, but I was lucky enough to find my way to Helen Stamford who was so patient with me to explain all that happened and immediately she swing into action and recovered my lost funds to me. If you can provide receipt to all your transactions, you can recover your money. Email: helenstamford5@g mail. com she is a life saver.“
“The atmosphere and service were excellent - comfortable seating, pleasant staff and an atypical and interesting menu. Great options - both vegetarian and meat. Not cheap $30 per person if you eat modestly without drinks and $40-50 when you go all the way. I tried the eggplant and spinach boulanis and my spouse had the chicken and lamb rolls. I will surely recommend it to my friends to try for special occasions and meet ups. ?“
“It was our first visit to this restaurant but not the last. We found this place by chance. We were starving and did not have a lot of time as we had to catch ferry. the staff person was very polite and understanding about it and our dinner was served super quick. Everything that we had ordered was delicious. My husband and I did not expect it to be this good. the staff person was very respectful. I ate good authentic Indian food after a long time. If you happen to be in North Vancouver and craving for Indian food, this is a place to go to. Nice family run restaurant. We will surely be there next time I am in North Van.“
“Wonderful food.I ate garlic naan and Kerala rice with coconut and spices, which are side dishes but can be eaten aloneShrimp in Vandaloo sauce and fish roasted in Tandoor.Cauliflower Pockara and a unique vegetarian SamoraVegetarian options: Half menu“
“Best Food I have ever tasted. The curries are exactly how they should be and not using the same base or gravy for all dishes.I'm definitely coming back again to try more items on the menu.We got the dinner for two combo and were pretty happy with the portions and the service.“
“This Restaurant is just amazing the service and the taste of their food is fantabulous ,,, one of my friend's suggested me that restaurant now i became a regular costumer of there , i must appreciate themThanks for your fantastic food and service“
“Our friends organized a farewell dinner for my wife and me at Sula Indian restaurant! Opting for Sula was an excellent decision, and we all had an amazing time enjoying both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The each bite of appetisers and delicious curries were bursting with flavor, leaving us wanting more. The waitress provided outstanding service, assisting us throughout the meal and even taking great photos of us. The ambiance and decor added to the overall experience. I highly recommend Sula to anyone who love vegetarian food and Indian cuisine!“
“I only ever get Veg Thali from this place, and the food quality and taste have been very consistent. Great service from the kind little auntie makes me feel home. If I have to nitpick, their 2 curries in Thali are always Paneer butter masala and Dal Makhani, I wish they have a rotating menu.“
“Love love love what theyve done here: innovating pizza with the indian fusion ‼️Their pizzas are really good, dare I say theyre unequivocally BUSSIN ?They got quite the oily pizza so if youre conscious about those then heres your warning, but otherwise its a must try, very underrated pizzeria.“
“Walked here from west Broadway with my 7 year old granddaughter for a dinner date. Some of the best Indian food in the city. Atmosphere was warm and inviting as was the service. Don’t be deterred by the mess of construction from the skytrain just outside. We took arbutus to 8th and then right onto maple then left on the sidewalk in front of the wawanesa that leads to the restaurant. Will most definitely be back.“
“We ordered chicken fried momos and chicken noodle along with mango lassi. The momos from Namaste Food Lovers were authentic and mouthwatering. The spicy chicken noodle was super delicious, and the mango lassi was not too sweet but was very teasty.“
“It’s been 20 years since I’ve been here. Originally a frequent customer at the original location.Love the new location and set up and the service was good but not great. When the food comes out, the food server just pushes everyone on the table and offered very little explanation of what was been provided. The actual waiter was great and incredibly hospitable. But the managers need to know that the way food is placed on a table needs to be more deliberate and less intrusive. It was off putting when the server dropped a large empty bowl for bones onto me.Food was good…but I’ve had just as good Indian in North Vancouver too.“
“A nice restaurant with delicious dishes for a very decent price. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater you'll find what you like. We had the vegetarian (paneer) and chicken momo, the vegetarian chow mein and szechuan rice with chicken.“
“Rich in flavours best in VancouverOur family has visited Hariyaly many times and we have invited others to join us. We love Indian dishes and have tried many others. Hariyali continues to be thlour favourite. The chef has been very capable in changing some of the on menu dishes to suite our needs and always well done. Gluten free dairy free has continued to amaze us with delicious flavours and yummy spices. The serving staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Thank you all and we look forward to continue our visits to Hariyali.“
“Great ambience and live music. We had the tasting/all you can eat dinner and they were so Delicious. It was fun to be able to try various different food items. Fun to eat. Enjoyable. Definitely would come back again. Service was excellent - all the staff were very polite and pleasant. The only thing was if they had more staff on a Saturday night dinner time would be great especially the menu involves topping up the all you can eat items. Excellent restaurant.“
“Amazing experience! I dont usually eat Indian food, so this was a great introduction! I ordered the Tandoori Chicken with Garlic Naan, both delicious. They gave us extra pieces of Naan, and gave us extra sauces to try for free! You can get the chicken without the spice if you dont like spicey. Also, try the Indian lime soda, its a must. They have a large menu and super friendly staff who genuinely care about your experience. The mango shake was one of the best shakes I've ever tried too. 10/10 overall!“
“I felt this is the best authentic Rajasthani food you can eat in Canada and infact I didn’t come across this type of food in most of usa either (I only lived and travelled in 18 major cities). The food quality is amazing. The portions are great and price is on higher end but definitely worth the food. Don’t shy away to ask more on the options they have. Place is bit small but serves the purpose and can be reserved ahead. They explain the food and how to eat if you are new to cuisine. Definitely a great place to hit the food in Vancouver BC.“
“Good food and really good customer service; if you like spicy food, I would recommend you to tell them to make it spicy. I got channa masala and fish pokora, and it was really good. Also ordered for takeout for my friends and I got chicken & lamb biryani. My friends both liked the two biryani. Overall, I would rate this place a 4.5 out of 5.“
“Fully satisfied ? service was good food is delicious specially non veg platterAnd tried a mocktail named as new gossipThat’s allSee ya all guys next timeKid-friendliness: Server’s the way they treat guests I totally impressed, i am having my dinner with my friends by the side table of us couple were sitting and their baby boy is crying the server came and lift the baby boy and making funny face to boy and the boy laughed alot ….. that makes me impressed….“
“I’ve ordered the Lamb Kothu a few times but today’s portion/quantity looks low compared to other days. On a positive note, the flavor and taste is good. The counter girl (the shorter one) has a bit of attitude which is not a good representation of caring customer service.“
“Nice to have variety of Indian breakfast at downtown. We ordered delivery, Idli sambar Vada sambar idli and vada was packed soaked in sambar / soggy. It could have been better to pack Sambhar separately.Edit: sorry didn’t quite find differences with respect to serving pattern. However as suggestion - for delivery order (since it involve delivery time) - its better to pack sambar separate from Idli / Vada to avoid it getting soggy.“
“We stopped for lunch and didn’t have much time, but the waitress told me exactly what too order when I told here I was plant-based. It was perfectly spiced( I requested it spicy ?️), but the best part was each portion had its own distinct flavour profile! I loved it!PS the naan was fresh, warm and tasty!PSS I will be back for ? dinner!“
“I had gone past this dining place several times but had not stepped inside to try the food. I wish I went earlier . A friend told me how wonderful the food and the experience was. Glad I went. Some great vegetarian options for me and the hostess to our waiter all were super friendly . Food was like the name says super tasty. I loved what they served the food in and I also found the prices reasonable. Great experience all around .“
“We ordered from Doordash and had our order cancelled due to no available driver, but then I received a call from the owner of Indian Village Eatery who apologized. Gave me a free samosas if i picked up myself, whic wasn't hard cause i was right around the corner, I was blown away by the service and all the food was incredible to boot. They are our go-to spot for Indian cuisine in Vancouver now!“
“Excellent South Indian food - a truly unique experience that made me travel. Highly recommend their dossa and lunch special. Very good price aligned with quality and quantity. Family staffed always friendly and very generous! Simply enjoy the taste of india.“
“Very underrated gemUnlike the trends I'm seeing in other establishments, the seating here is cushioned, comfortable and welcoming.Best vegan burger I've had in awhile, patty was very juicyWaitress was very kind and accommodating, prices are very reasonableI personally enjoy the throwback house mix music bumping in here but, I could see that not working for everyone or possibly making conversation hard if you're with friendsI'll definitely be back with friends anyway“
“I was pleasantly surprised with this place, I ordered some chicken korma with rice. I got 2 huge Portions of eachAnd both tasted great. Food was still hot when I came home. Was $20 and could easily feed 2 people. I will continue ordering Indian food from here.SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES.“
“Best tandoori chicken and naan I have had in years. The chicken was delicate and juicy... served piping hot with sizzling onion.Naan was also to die for.Attentive friendly service. Popular with families - there were two birthday parties while we eat... spanning 3 generations.Definitely going back next time in town.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options - we had the aubergine Bharat.Kid-friendliness: Several kids enjoying themselves with their families.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“I went with my family and we ordered the malai kofta and naan and for starters had Aloo tikki chaat, Beef biryani,Chicken samosas and chicken momo’s it was really yummy food and the flavours were delicious. The restaurant is family owned and everyone was very nice when serving. I would highly recommend getting their food, AND it’s family owned? will be going again!“
“I recently stumbled upon some reviews mentioning that people found the food a bit bland and had concerns about the restaurant's atmosphere and cleanliness. I felt compelled to share a different perspective. Mirchi, a genuine family restaurant, is personally overseen by the remarkable owner, Joseph, who's in his 80, and the place has been thriving for close to 20 years!Joseph pours his heart into Mirchi, preparing each meal fresh daily, crafting sauces from fresh tomatoes, and even making the naan from scratch. The dedication and authenticity shine through in every bite. While the building and interior have that charming, antique vibe, you'll find the tables, glassware, and plates are always in top-notch condition – super clean and tidy.Walking into Mirchi isn't like entering just any restaurant, it feels more like coming home. Joseph's love and commitment to the place make it stand out, creating an atmosphere that goes beyond the typical dining experience. It's not just a restaurant; it's a cozy spot where you can savor the rich history and dedication in every dish.“
“Dining at Swad Indian Kitchen was a culinary revelation! The warm ambiance and diverse menu showcased the essence of Indian cuisine. Every dish, a flavorful masterpiece, transported me to the heart of India. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a standout, with succulent chicken in a delightful curry. The attentive and knowledgeable staff, commitment to hygiene, and impeccable presentation make Swad a five-star gem. Whether a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer, Swad promises an authentic and delightful experience. I'm eagerly anticipating my return to savor more of their exquisite offerings.“
