“Really enjoyed this cozy place.. The blonde tall and pretty server was a doll.. Can't say enough about this place.. Just had a beer picking up someone from the ferry but plan to be responsible and take a bus out here and try their food“
“My server was a very sweet lad. Looking around, he was even wiping down the handheld debit machine between customers.Didnt throw a fit when I asked for half soda half coke.I opted for a Ceasar Salad with grilled salmon. Salmon was cooked to perfection, and salad had a great balance of dressing, croutons, and cheese.“
“Great experience last night. The staff are very friendly and the service was super quick. The blonde woman who greeted us at the door was very welcoming and super bubbly. She was even busy helping the other staff. Just great vibes. Will definitely be back again every time we visit “
“This is by far my favourite spot in Vancouver!!The dill pickle wings, the honey garlic wings and the superb service by Alysha is what we keep coming back for. Seriously, THE BEST WINGS EVER!! The Moose rocks!! Keep on keepin' on, guys!“
“First time going to a pub. Good and service was excellent, didn’t have to wait long for a seat or for them to take our order. We ordered the nachos and rootine. Never had kangaroo meat before but I loved it. Wish I had more room in me to eat the whole thing. The jalapeños in the nachos were so fresh juicy and crunchy. Packed a lot of heat. Salsa was very fresh as well and had great flavor. Was very loud but had a great fun. Just a lot of people enjoying themselves ?. Would 100% come back next time we’re in Vancouver again. 10/10.“
“The chicken is amazing BUT…. The sides are ridiculous. When I spend $80 on chicken for 2 of us, I’d expect my $4 side of coleslaw to be more than 3 bites. I will order their chicken again, but never a side dish. They really need to up their side dish game. I like veggies with my dinner but not for $14 for a small handful of kale, or $4 for 2-3 bites of coleslaw.Maybe a 4 star rating is too generous? I don’t know. The chicken is just really good. Pretty pricey, but good.“
“We had a great time here on a rainy day.We were walking around downtown and popped in for a pint.We discovered the large amount of games and ended up staying for a few hours. The wings were the best ones I’ve had in a long time, would come back just for those(we ended up ordering a second order). The vibe was cool, music was good and not too too loud so you could still have a conversation.Service was pretty good - if you were in a rush it may have not been ideal but we were playing cards and chatting so it was the right speed for us.Menu prices were reasonable. Will definitely come back and would recommend to others for a chill afternoon.“
“Dylan at the bar was top notch. So was his buddy but I didn’t grab the name. Was on a tight schedule tonight and was served right away. I’d definitely come here again. Steamworks delivered ? I see why it has so many good reviews. I had the onion rings and Kirsche “
“Incredible food, tons of TVs and live music on Fridays.Vegetarian options: There are a few and the salads are excellent.Dietary restrictions: I have shellfish and nut allergies and they have always been very careful. Most menu items are made in-house, so they can control ingredients.Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately a 19+ liquor licence, so kids aren’t allowed.Wheelchair accessibility: Two sections and the patio are wheelchair accessible.“
“I like Tuesday night Kimeroake. Karaoke with Kim, as well as other hosts. A lot of regulars and growing. Karaoke is a recent event and seems to be attracting more people. I've been a regular here since the 80s. A good place to shoot some pool or watch sports. Come as you are, there's a place for you here. Go Hoeing tonight!“
“Definitely one of my favourite spots in the city. Great selection of beers. Strong, sours, IPAs and dark beers, you name it. You will definitely find something that you'd enjoy.Great standup comedy nights on Mondays at 8pm with a $20 deal of burger/ fries and a beer, what!? I'm coming back for sure!Service is great too!“
“My pizza was great, but my friend’s jambalaya was mostly onions, tomato sauce, and rice. I think there were 2 shrimp and maybe 5 small pieces of chicken. Definitely not worth $26.Our waitress was great. Other staff checked in on us when our waitress was busy. It’s a great place to sit outside. It’s right on the Fraser River.“
“Great spot. If only they opened up the patio to let bikes in. A lot of people don't feel safe leaving their bike on Broadway. It always comes up as a suggestion among our friend group as a place to meet, but we often go to Boxcar instead as they let bikes onto the patio.“
“Just attended a wedding reception here and the staff were all super friendly, helpful and kind! The restaurant elevates classics in their own way and just delivers on quality. Their drink menu is also creative and fun. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.“
“Went here for din just before our show at the Queen E. we had dynamite roll for appy and Baja fish tacos and Florida sandwich for our mains. Drinks before and after din were delicious and our server, Laura was awesome. So attentive and friendly. Thank you.“
“Are you looking for a great bar around Hastings and Nanaimo? The Brighton is the right place to go! Great environment with an amaazing service. I came to this place since 20217, and I always had such good time. Sometimes they do have some bands, sometimes Karaoke and so on. It is fun. Love their beers and their deals. Their nachos are great. Yummy Other than that, it is better you try to go earlier or you won't find a table. Cheers“
“A great little hole in the wall serving up delicious tacos, burritos and more alongside lots of funky beverages. Definitely a little out of sight but worth the short walk down Blood Alley. Our server Kirsten was lots of fun and the place has a cool vibe and good tunes!“
“We booked Faculty's tasting room for a birthday party with 35 people. The room is spacious yet feels intimate. It allowed all our friends to mingle and have fun. The staff was smooth and professional. And the beer menu was awesome ! Highly recommended.“
“I came in here randomly because I had an hour to kill before a meeting. The staff was so sweet. I got hot wings. Amazing. And a beer. Which was cold and crisp. They made sure I had everything I needed and were so kind. If you're around this area..go in. It's so great :) thanks “
“went on a date a couple days ago with my boyfriend after our usual spot was busy and it was great! our server was a woman named Riley and she was amazing and the food was just as good! we usually go to the lower lonsdale location but our experience may have swung us!“
“Nice place, good atmosphere, good service, the restaurant is at the end of the road and in the middle of the city, so easy access, parking is also easy, it's on the side of the road and there's also one in the basement,Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant and inside the building is all free“
“Cute little cafe hidden in the neighborhood that didn't come up on my first search for breakfast. Service was very good and the food was too. We sat outside and the weather made it so enjoyable. I didn't even know they had a small grocery section inside until I went to pay.“
“Casual dining in pub-diner atmosphere near the waterfront. Service was slow at the beginning but picked up in the middle. I enjoyed a Cajun Chicken sandwich with a caesar salad; however, the salad dressing was not very potent. Multiple TVs usually showing a variety of sports.“
“I love how it's open late compared to everything else nearby. Great place to grab drinks. The downside is that they dont have an actual kitchen, so the food they can offer is very limited and simple. There was just one staff working, so props to them but understand service will be slow when it's busy.“
“Friendly staff. We were by on a Saturday early afternoon so they were still on the brunch menu and we were unable to order some of the other items on their normal menu. But that's ok, we adapted. We shared a 2 eggs over easy with toast, potatoes, and added bacon and bangers aka sausage. We also ordered their cheapest white wine (we were unable to order their sangria) which was actually quite good. Very filling meal and hit the spot. Toast came in option of multigrain or sourdough. We had the multigrain and it was so delicious. We ordered and ate at their little patio/balcony and people watched. Recommend for a filling breakfast!“
“I have been looking for a place where there is live Rock music for a long time and I always see this pub, I had never been and yesterday was my first time. I had an incredible time, I highly recommend the classic Mojitos, the beer at its peak and the extraordinary wings. It is worth mentioning that the waiter Andres treated us wonderfully and recommended just what we needed. Very happy to have shared another experience....Thank you“
“Impromptu dinner on a Thursday night. Took a while to be addressed as I stood in the door but after that it was ok. As expected bar pub ambiance. Service was straightforward. Food was actually nice and tasty. We ordered the veggie burger with yam fries (got lots of very fresh fries and they were so good) and the French Dip which was also good.“
“Our Server, Cole was the reason that this visit was worthy of placing a review. Drinks and food were actually really good, so also compliments to our kitchen person! Our server steered a good beer choice, and the cocktail looked great. He was knowledgeable about the food items, and attentive, and prompt. A cool spot in Vancouver that actually is priced very fairly for it prominent corner locale. Check this place our!“
“Great place to grab drinks and food with friends. The staff is super friendly and the prices are fair. I especially recommend the Parmesan rosemary fries as an appetizer/snack it comes with the best curry sauce. Packed on Fridays, quieter on other days, plenty of seating as well as arcade games.“
“Exploring Vancouver and the sign outside caught our attention, so we had to check it out. Short walk from the steam clock located in Gastown. Everything was perfect ?. The gentleman reccomend me a lager that hit just right. We stopped in for lunch, and we were very happy with our choice. It was relaxing and relatively quiet for downtown Vancouver. We had the daily special, which was a soup and chicken wrap. They were both perfect.“
“Library Square in Vancouver is a haven for studious minds. The sleek, modern design, coupled with ample natural light, creates an inviting atmosphere for focused work. With its extensive collection and quiet ambiance, it's an ideal spot for productive studying. The convenient location in downtown Vancouver adds to its appeal. A top choice for those seeking a conducive environment for learning and research.“
“Went there for the first time just the other day, as we had a going away dinner for one of my co-workers. Ordered the wings and with most places there's more plate than wings but OMG I couldn't believe how many you got. The plate was heaped. Crisp just the way I like them, the service was quick and the server was awesome. Although their a bit on the pricey side, every cent I spent there was well worth it. HIGHLY recommend them.“
“Came here for the first time for dinner and drinks. Enjoyed the live music.- Nachos were a miss. Not enough toppings- chicken pot pie was delicious and fresh- burger was amazingGreat rustic vibe and will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.“
“Always loved Elwoods for their cheap Daily specials. Saturday to Thursday they have ALL day food and drink specials. Prices have jumped from the $6 specials pre-Covid, to $11 for my favourites the Sunday 6oz steak or Saturday 1/2 rack of BBQ ribs, still very worth it!! I love Elwoods neigbhbourhood vibe. All servers are very friendly, laid back while still giving attentive service. They remember you and welcome you back. Even great when they're slammed. If they run out of the daily special, they'll usually substitute in a different special, so you don't leave disappointed. Looking for a great burger? Order from regular menu the Bayou Burger: thick, juicy patty, amazing bacon (no fat) awesome sauce and all the trimmings with their thin cut, crispy, not greasy, home fries- you will not be diasspointed. Friend ordered the classic burger, said it was literally the best burger she'd ever eaten!Daily Specials have changed a bit from the phots I posted pre-covid. Thursday is now Burger and Fries, no Friday special, Sat still ribs, Sun still my favourite 6oz Steaks!Elwoods added a street patio during Covid (with heaters) and still have their sidewalk Patio tables with heaters that's sheltered and heated in winter, opens up in warmer weather. No room for bar games. Have several small sport screens, sound on during live games & good 'ol (& new) loud, rock'n'rol the rest of the time! So happy to see this Kitsilano institution didn't close or move East when their previous location was lost to the wrecking ball. My favourite pub in Kits!Vegetarian options: Not a vegetarian pub aside from Fries and salad.Dietary restrictions: I have no problem eating here and I have many food intolerances and allergies.Parking: It's the first block going West on Broadway that DOES NOT have metered parking.Kid-friendliness: It is a pub, not a restaurant, but I have seen kids in here once. It's a very chill place as long as the kids like loud music.Wheelchair accessibility: The first level of the pub is wheelchair accessible. Though doors are not wide enough for big electric WC's. Washrooms definitely are not. Have to go up 2 steps to upper indoor level, then through a narrow hallway and the washrooms are very small.“
“Kaia did such an awesome job tonight. She checked in on us and made sure our food was not far behind our drinks. We asked for the bill and she had already got it ready for us. She made the experience seamless and was just such a pleasure. Thank you so much for the amazing service!“
“Sophia showed us such a good time on Saturday with her amazing energy and quick service! The DJ played great tunes and some guy was even blowing fire ? (didn't try any food but the drinks were flowing and yummy!) Will definitely visit again when in “
“I was there at a friend’s bday on December 4th. It was my first time there and we had a table of 8. Our server was named Sam and she was absolutely wonderful, she handled all of us well and made it a great time. The karaoke was also pretty fun. Will definitely come back“
“A group of us went for the Superbowl last night and had a great night! Megan (not sure of correct spelling sorry lol), was our server and she was the best! So fast with making sure we all had drinks, right there as soon as we needed something, and told us about the auto gratuity because of the size of our group. The bartender was also amazing ? Thanks guys for a great night and tasty food!“
“Our son is a bartender at this location so we went to check out his workplace. There were five in our group, so we had to wait a little bit, for a table to come available. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy! We loved the upbeat vibe and energy!! Syd did a great job serving our table - she was friendly and efficient. All five dishes were fantastic!! The cocktails were also fantastic!!“
“It was a lively and nice café. Located on commercial Drive. We chose this café because it had the highest rating on Google maps. We were happy with our choice. We ordered the fries and lemon pepper, chicken wings. I enjoyed sitting on the wooden chairs, and looking at the street and people sitting there. The bathroom was also clean. The service could be faster but the waitress was friendly.“
“Here on karaoke night. It's amazing!! Lola runs karaoke for triumph entertainment and it's so good! It's been unreal hearing how amazing everyone's voices are. It's such a wonderful, accepting atmosphere. Staff were wonderful too! I will be back!!!❤️“
“Staying alive by the bones - forever will be the favorite of locals!!Vegetarian options: Better than many other pub options in this town... You'll be fine as long as you order off-menu... Therefore, it may not be a good option during peak hours on any given day.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen here is (physically / architecturally) tight, so they cannot work to every modification ... But they will work with you to provide a dead-honest "yes/no" w.r.t. any restrictions or allergies.Parking: WestEnd parking is always going to be a nightmare ... But, there is a valet service next door.Kid-friendliness: License does NOT allow kids here.Wheelchair accessibility: This venue is perhaps 70% hi-top tables that are not wheelchair-accessible. The surrounds, entrance, washroom, etc are 100% wheelchair friendly.“
“The restaurant is very comfortable at the end of the road so you can look out of the restaurant with views from several sides. Just tried the coffee and a few snacks, everything was delicious, haven't tried the food yet because it was just dinner, but one day I'll definitely come back again, this place is highly recommended because the location is very strategic in the middle of the city and tourist attractions, and don't hesitate, regarding parking, it's on the side of the road and in the basement too“
“I went here with a friend to watch The Superbowl, we took the last two spots which the staff helped us with as soon as we walked through the door. It's a small space which adds to the atmosphere, good variety of beers and traditional Canadian pub food. Plenty of TVs for watching sport and the service was attentive, friendly and fast.“
“I've been going to Koerner's for years. I've found they've done a nice job of keeping up with changing tastes, while also maintaining the university pub atmosphere. I was just there tonight and they still have that friendly feel and service and the woman who took my order (who was blonde) was great-attentive, offered recommendations and made me feel welcome. Definitely going back again!“
“Ok, so I went in at around 4:30Pm and got out at around 11 PM. There was something at this place that just kept me there and we kept playing pool for like an hour or so and it was great. I met this guy Mike, George the Hippy and Ben there. I listened to their wild stories about drug dealers, gangsters and what not. Crazy crazy place full of friendly people and since I am a 24 yr old college going guy from India, people were asking me what the hell in this world brought me here, and I don't know what I was doing there, but I had a lot of effing beer and 1 pitcher was like 13.73$. This was one of the wildest experiences I had in Vancouver but I would say just be careful when you are there.“
“Excellent food, take-out is quick and the staff are polite and professional. I would recommend anything on the menu, it's all great prepared with fresh ingredients. I live above the bar in the Patricia Hotel, so I order from the bar when ever I can. Portions are big......so come with an empty stomach!“
“I rated the food 1 star out of 5, not because I ate there, but my guy, if you're eating one of them dawgs it better be to hold back puke. And you're really just rolling the dice at that point. They played Bleeding Heart by Leona Lewis so you know the vibes are right.“
“Had a really nice dinner here with my partner in the context of the Vancouver Dine Out Festival and had the set menu.Starters where good, especially for the price, but nothing special; a good Mushroom Vellouté and a Salmon Platter served cold with some cheese, veggies and chips.Main Course we had a genuinely fabtastic Squash Risotto and a pretty good Salmon with a side salad and a very interesting chilli sauce. The risotto was the highlight of the dinner and definetly worth the price alone. Salmon was not my cup of tea but very interesting.Maintaining the same trajectory desserts where composed of a super interesting and excellently made Earl Gray Crème Brûllée and an unispired Chocolate Mousse (the Chocolate was good but the meringue underneath was rather lacking).Notable the selection of cocktails and mocktails, both relatively extensive and interesting as well as a solid selection of wine pairings. The service was good but very busy (though that might be simply a result of the Dine Out Festival) and while the staff was incredibly kind and accomodating to our needs (and we noticed how well they operated with other diners too) the cramped space and clearly ovewhelmed staff made the roll out of dishes (and especially drinks) relatively slow. Finally the athmosphere was great but simply not for us in particular. Its a very loud space both visually and acoustically and quite tightly packed but between the good looking bar, nice boots and puns adorning the bathrooms and backrooms (which we noticed at the end of our meal and where quite funny) it more than makes up for it with charm. All in all an nice evening and an experience worth having even though we where not the exact target audience. Good food, interesting vibes and careful if busy service, underpriced for what they have to offer, but could do with a couple rounds of polish in general.Wheelchair accessibility: I cant speak directly about wheelchairs specifically (though I did notice the larger boots and walking space by the entrance which I suspect would serve well for it.That said as someone myself suffering from minor mobility issues, as wall as having dined by a person needing the use of crutches I can confirm the staff was more than flexible to both of our needs and made andjustments quickly and (if clumsily) effectively. I would not be surprised to discover the folks working here or owner are allyes to the the disaed community to some capacity. To an extent the bar for accomodation is in hell, but at least they clearly cared to try their best despite a particularly busy night“
“Didn't get the chance to try the food. And it's a little tricky to find for us non locals. It is just off Marine drive, in a court yard behind other businesses. Trust google and walk thru the arch on the street. You find this local pub with a dog friendly patio.“
