“Easily the best wine list in Alhambra and possibly the SGV and Pasadena area. If you're looking for a curated wine list with excellent European and American options served alongside a stacked food menu this is your spot. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and service is well worth the price. We've needed elevated dining in Alhambra for years and we finally have it with Yang's.“

“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.“

“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“

“The service was great. The cocktail I had was really good. The food is very fresh. The shareables were perfect and very creative. We loved the biscuits especially. I had the best pork chops ever. The side dishes are perfect to share also. A hidden gem in the arts district of downtown. I highly recommend it.“

“The wait staff at the restaurant were friendly and attentive especially our server Noah. His service was excellent. He checked in often, answered all our questions about the menu and made sure we had a pleasant dining experience. The food was great especially the tomahawk steak with chimuchurri. My family would definitely dine at this restaurant again.“

“Fantastic midwestern modern food. Had the gnocchi and it was rich and nostalgic. Great and attentive staff with knowledgeable information about the menu. Love the different options of seating, and the outdoor area is incredibly charming. Will be back again!“

“WOW. It was an amazing dining EXPERIENCE. We had a party of 9 which allowed for trying many items. Everything we ordered was tasty.:Rating -10 - Bing (Cultured Butter & Honey - Ribeye Au Jus)10 - Little Gem Salad9 - Grilled Boy Choy10 - Crispy Potatoes8 - Mushroom Crispy Rice9 - Grilled Striped Bass8 - Iberico Pork11 - Whole Plate Short Rib11 - Desert DonutThe bing hands down some of the best bread I've ever had and the toppings were superb. The little Gem Salad was a complete surprise with unusual flavor combinations dancing in my mouth.The Crispy Rice and Iberico pork were my least favorites. Pork was a very small portion and dry. Crispy rice had great serving presentation however there were bits a little difficult to chew. Boy Choy and Bass were good but nothing stood out.Short rib was decadent, tender and absolutely delicious with an unexpectant surprise of fried rice made with the remaining bits from the table side serving.To top of the evening was the OUTSTANDING donut desert served in New Orleans flaming style with caramel, Macadamia nuts and pineapple.Cant wait to return. I daydream about the outing and Already have reservations to try other items and reorder my favorites.“

“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.“

“The church-turned-restaurant has a clear sky above, creating a lazy and comfortable environment. The service staff kindly introduced the menu of the day. California cuisine is a fusion of Asian and Western food characteristics. The complimentary bread is very similar to Asian double cheese bread, and the cheese taste is very fragrant. Strawberries & burrata cheese is like a variation of the classic Italian mozzarella cheese and tomato salad. It is quite beautiful and delicious. The Day Boat Scallops have a crispy topping and a tender center. It has a rich texture and is paired with spiced pumpkin puree, caramelized carrots and vegetables. , gooseberry, with diverse and harmonious flavors. Next time I’m in Los Angeles, I want to try other interesting meals!“

“Service was fantastic and the wait wasn't too long at all!! I got the chopped cheese sandwich, fries, & the black sesame oat milk espresso beverage. Chopped cheese - this was delicious!! The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! I think I'd only get the chopped cheese again if I was in a real want for a fast food cheeseburger feeling.“

“Went here for the first time in a while, bought a bunch of drinks for my rugby teammates and even though they never paid me back, I still had a great time. The old fashioned was really good, service was great, the inside looks amazing. 10/10 would let my teammates mooch off here me again.“

“As a Filipino, I love the different concepts they have with different Filipino dishes. We started off with the beef tartar and pork belly sisig. All I could say was w o w. Beef tartar was amazing and I've never had a garlic sky flake before. The flavors complimented perfectly. I'm not usually a pork person, but their sisig was cooked to perfection! So much flavor and had the perfect crisp. For our main dish we had the chicken inasal. The chicken was sooo tender and fell right off the bone! We also ordered each one of their sauces and I can't even pick out my favorite. They all had their own unique flavor. I'm already thinking about my next visit at this restaurant. The ambience, the service, and the food are all 10/10. Highly recommend!!“

“This was the first time dining at Joyce and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great and food was amazing!! Everything we ate was so seasoned and delicious! We didn't wait long for our food. “We went for dinner before a concert without reservations and were able to dine at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was good and friendly, the cocktails were very good. The menu is very creative—my wife selected the striped bass with cannellini beans and I ordered the red beet carnaroli risotto. Both were very good. We also enjoyed the berry shortcake and rice pudding.“

“I just hurt myself trying to finish the GF Detroit style... damn good pizza. I'm a "sauce man" and I would put there red sauce over pasta and bon appetit it; no questions asked. Great mozzarella (with that authentic salty milkiness) and quality toppings. If you're gluten free like me, this is the best pizza in LA hands down. Prior to my GF life, pizza was my favorite food group and I've eaten it all over. You can always tell a good pie by the components. There is a quality and style that goes into the pizza here. Canned sauce is disgusting and evident during the first bite at other shops. Once again, the sauce is great here. Park near Astro and walk over as that lot is not fun to try and get into or out of. I will be back“

“My girlfriend and I went to our second Valentine's dinner here last week. Not many places can pull off Valentines Day like Bistro 45 does. Everything came out timely and up to their usual standards. Our favorite waiter Mehdi treated us like family. This is the most consistent restaurant we've ever eaten at. Thank you guys so much! Rick and Linda“

“The food was amazing, but we felt really rushed which was disappointing when you’re eating a $200 meal. We drove up from San Diego specifically to go to a show and this restaurant. We decided to eat after the show so that we could take our time. I know it says they close at 9, and I’ve served before, but because it was such an expensive restaurant I assumed that just meant their last seating was before 9, as is the case at many nice places. We got there at 8:40 for our reservation, which again I normally wouldn’t do, but thought it was a last seating time, and although I requested outside when I made the reservation in advance, they said it wasn’t open. We’re very covid-cautious so it would’ve been nice if they’d emailed or called letting us know. We actually left the show early and wouldn’t have done that had we known. We reluctantly ate inside, but felt really rushed the whole time because apparently 9 is the actual closing time. Maybe it’s open table’s fault for allowing 8:45 reservations, but it wasn’t a $200 experience. The food and drinks were amazing though.“

“Im super picky when it comes to Mexican food and let me tell you this place really does not disappoint. We waited a while for the food but you have to keep in mind that good food takes time and energy to make. I ordered the chilaquiles con mole and a side of papas, the chilaquiles were so delicious. The mole tastes amazing it’s not too sweet and has no bitter notes. Super filling. The papas are amazing they’re so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will def be coming back, I personally really appreciate the ambiance in there it reminds me of eating in a home or in my dads down in MX. The people here really value and love food.“

“Flavorful food and great cocktails in an Orleans-vibe atmosphere. I had the braised chicken with peanut sauce. It was super tender. Why can't I carmelize sweet potatoes that good? Husband had jalapeño flank steak. The angel biscuit was straight out of the oven. OMG.“

“I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, nice patio and neighborhood parking nearby. Would it be rude if I ordered another toast? Actually considering it.“

“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“

“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. “Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.“

“I really enjoyed dining at Edendale. The beer selection was above-average, the food top-notch, and the service was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Missy, was efficient, friendly, and, dare I say, playfully flirtatious. Her charm made this meal memorable in just about every way. I'll be sure to visit Edendale when I'm in this part of town again.“

“Amazing food, ambiance, wine, and staff! Tucked away on Holly St., a few blocks over from Colorado. Old town local vibe. Super chill. I've been trying new restaurants in the area and decided to pop in early on a Fri nite. Got a seat at the counter overlooking the chef preparing all the meals. Ordered a rose, very tasty. Short ribs with mash potatoes. Amazing! I will definitely be back to try more things. Highly recommend. We really don't have anything like this in Pasadena.“

“Granville was one of the first restaurants I've eaten at since movigto Pasadena 2 years ago. Each time I've gone, the service is always attentive and welcoming.The atmosphere is very trendy and I really do love the open layout overall. The food and drinks have always been a hit for me, I've tried almost everything on their menu and I haven't been disappointed. My go to cocktail is the cu cucumber martini, which is very refreshing! Definitely check them out if you're in the area. Very good for a date night or a group hang.“

“Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight. Nostagic deliciousness @parkwaygrill, peerless steaks. Returning there for the fourth time - our first visit was in 1994. Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. Beautiful restaurant with signature French dip sandwich @houstonsrestaurants“

“One of my favorite places to go. The food is always delicious and flavorful. Favorites have been the chimichurri grilled steak and the grilled chicken club sandwich. But I feel like everything on the menu is great. They offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten, or just protein options. Service is has been good, workers are always polite. Shout out to Daniel at the cashier and Abraham. The ambiance is always very chill. Even during peak rush hours. They have patio seating, inside dining, or take out.“

“I recently moved to the area and this was our first time at The Proper Restaurant but it most certainly won't be our last. Everything ... and I mean everything was excellent! I started out with the Proper Clover Club cocktail and it was so refreshing and delicious. My husband and I then shared the white chicken chili which was equally delicious. For our entrees, my husband ordered the miso salmon which was out of this world and I got the chicken piccata. The chicken was cooked perfectly, lightly breaded and the pasta was tossed in a wonderful lemonny piccata. I also had a Malbec which was so smooth, I wanted to order the whole bottle (but alas, I did not). And since everything else was so good, we couldn't leave without ordering dessert -- the warm butter toffee cake. My mouth is still watering thinking about it. I can't wait to go back to The Proper Restaurant!“

“Great spot to go with friends for lunch or to take the kids on the weekend. They have a great front patio and full bar, a back room with TVs and games for kids and a back patio that's more private. I've never hosted an event here, but seems like a great spot for a birthday party with friends on a Saturday or Sunday - Margs and tacos and lots of space for socializing. Also very kid friendly! They have a great kids menu with options for picky eaters, frozen lemonade etc. Recommend the mexi cali taco and the Philly cheese steak! So good!“

“Holy cow I can't say enough wonderful things about AltaEats. Discovered them through their pandemic-era Roasties (cooked food to take home and eat) and we're still doing it with them now. The potatoes and green beans were so good last night (heaping portions!) that there were none leftover this morning for breakfast. The flank steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Their bread is the perfect complement to everything else. Highly recommended. Lovely people, too.“

“We've come here a few times and the food and drinks are generally pretty good. Decent ambiance and looks like it was originally a house that was converted into a restaurant. Making reservations can be a bit of a process. Rarely will someone pick up the phone, but there is a way to make reservations online through their website which does require a credit card deposit and for you to sign up with this reservations app. Some items on the menu are a bit overpriced as some other reviewers mentions, but we would definitely come back.“

“NO CASH ACCEPTED HERE -- first thing to know if you're coming here A pretty, little cafe that serves beautiful sandwiches that are as great to eat as they are to look at. My friend and I both ordered our own sandwiches and they each came with a nice side salad. Both dishes came with VERY fresh ingredients and I've been craving to return since I first tried it Smoked salmon bahn mi - 10/10. It was so tasty even though it wasn't anything like what a traditional bahn mi is like. The lettuce and mint used in the sandwich were crunchy and super fresh and the pickled jalapeños used added a nice dimension to the sandwich Side salad - 8/10. I would have enjoyed it more but it was much too drenched with oil/lemon (not sure what they use here. It was good regardless but the dressing used was overwhelming)“

“Found Green Street Restaurant on Google while looking for a place to have lunch in Pasadena. We were served by Joe who took such great care of us. Food was delicious and came out hot, Joe kept our drinks full. Big fan. Will definitely come again next time I’m in Pasadena.“

“Next door to the office and a good spot to grab a casual bite after work! Prices seem high, but the food is good and the portions are worth it. Service is always friendly, just make sure you order at the bar as they won't come to you. But, they will deliver the food once the order has been placed. And, free and easy parking!“

“I arrived at the store after 11:30, prepared to wait, and there was a 40 minute wait, so I killed time at a nearby supermarket. The steak meat was tender and delicious, and while I was waiting, I ordered the antichokes that were grilled on the grill after seeing the reviews saying they were delicious, and they were really delicious. it's recommended. The store had a nice atmosphere, the front desk staff remembered my name after just one visit, and the floor staff were very kind. It's amazing that you can enjoy such great customer service and food at this price.“

“We enjoyed our meal. The service was top-notch and very friendly. Adrien, the manager, was wonderful and assured my friend that she could eat without fear of her allergies to nuts and shellfish. We both got burgers and fries-- mine was the veggie burger. I would eat there again.Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was the best I've ever had. “We tried a bunch of plates out between all the family, some plates we tried out were the am chowder, calamari rings, fish and chips, pulled pork sliders, sweet potato fries, asada fries and more I cannot remember the names of, but I did take pictures for your convenience. I also have all beers from the tap in pictures and videos.Overall, we were satisfied with service and portions that are OK for the prices.The staff was super friendly and quick, so I'd recommend you guys try them out.“

“One of our favorite steak restaurants to celebrate special occasions. Must go on Tuesdays for their tomahawk Tuesday meal deal. Service is always on point and great atmosphere at this location. Lobster Mac and cheese is highly recommended. Porterhouse and tomahawk steaks are amazing and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant to celebrate that special occasion.“

“The burger was incredibly filling, and flavor profile very balanced with arugula, blue cheese, carmelized onions. I got a side Caesar and the croutons are surprisingly memorable. My colleague got the chicken piccatta and said it was delicious. The wait staff was very polite and food came out pretty quick given they seem to have a fairly busy lunch crowd. I can see why people come here repeatedly for lunch. It's reliable, great quality, and decently elegant ambiance.“

“Hands down the best fried chicken in allof LA. And given all of the amazing choices, this is a very serious title. I prefer the 3 piece chicken, but the sandwiches and sides are bomb too. Quality, texture, taste, flavor and execution cannot be beat! Crispy, juicy, tender and bursting con sabor! I absolutely love Lucky Bird and crave it regularly. Don’t miss out!“

“What a cute little hidden gem in the down town Montrose area. We were starving after a visit to Descanso Gardens and this place had photos of a cute patio seating area so we took the chance! The food was surprisingly very delicious! We shared a Reuben and a Cuban sandwich. We were disappointed to see no French fries, so we splurged on a hot pretzel! OMG it was so huge we took half of it home with us. Service was interesting- it was one bartender taking care of 3-4 tables of guests while we were there (plus a few take out orders). He did refill our drinks and checked on us twice quickly as he was grabbing stuff for other tables. We are pretty low maintenance so we were fine with it! I suspect this place is pretty packed after work for a drink and appetizers!“

“I went on a pretty busy Saturday night, the wait wasn't bad surprisingly. The service was short and straight to the point. Food: The burger was very good and fresh. The pickles... amazing!
